      I went from a reading slump to reading in one sitting. The book not only addressed the story of abuse or of the love between a man and a woman, it also addressed the love of God for us. His love that sees us beyond our depraved lives. Francine Rivers brings that love to the simplest, easily understood terms possible. It was an amazing, enlightening, spirit-filled book to read.

      Hmmm, for a book which is set mostly in the darkness and filth of prostitution, I feel strangely clean and refreshed having finished it. Like the book of Hosea in the Bible, this book is a song of praise to the power of the redemption of Christ in our lives. Beautiful.

      Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect. And at the start I thought it would be a bit, oh, hookey (is that a word? LOL!) But as the story continued, I just feel in love with teh characters. I wanted it to all work out. I felt for them, I cried for them, I felt happy and sad with them. I couldn't put the book down! Truly! I LOVED it. I will be reading more by Rivers in the future I do believe!

      Such a beautiful book. I am a big fan of Francine Rivers- this was the book that introduced the author to me. This is a book that will ensnare you and not let you go. I was up until 3 am devouring this fantastic novel. This is a novel that you can't put down and also a novel you won't be able to forget. Flawed characters, real life struggles, and an epic romance. If you haven't read this yet- you need to!

      Redeeming Love is honestly one of my all-time favorite books. Anytime a girlfriend asks for a book suggestion, this book gets volunteered. Francine Rivers is a beautiful writer who describes one of the greatest love stories (Gods to his people) and relates it to an intimate relationship. Every girl should read this book!

      I loved this book and read it very quickly! I probably would not have picked this up if I had realized it was Christian fiction but it was more about faith and perseverance than religion. This is God's perfect picture of true love and it’s endurance through all the trials and tribulations a marriage must go through. This is a must read that will renew your faith and help you to realize that God only wants His best for you.

      This is not at all the type of book I would normally gravitate towards. I didn't mind the basic concept of the book, since it reminded me of one of my favorite chick-flicks, Pretty Woman. I found myself very annoyed with the back and forth of the main character Angel. She was a very fickle woman. The book seemed much longer than it really needed to be, but overall passed the time just fine.

      This is currently my favorite book and has been for several years now. The passionate retelling of the story of Hosea yielded for me a very emotional response to the concepts of mercy and unconditional love that are represented in this book. I love the resetting of the story, the beautifully graphic moments throughout and the comforting message of renewal and acceptance.

      Masterfully written, Francine Rivers transports you to the Wild West and draws you into this redemptive story loosely based on the Biblical story of Hosea. It is a historical Christian romance that makes you want to slap the character until you realize it's actually you. Unconditional love that doesn't seem possible reminds us of the one Great Love that paid it all for us. This was the book that got me hooked on Francine Rivers. It will hook you too!

      This is God's perfect picture of true love. If you don't really feel that you are worthy of true love, no matter your past, this is a must read that will renew your faith and help you to realize that God only wants His best for you.

      This christian fiction book was absolutely the best book that I have EVER read. The book is based on the story of Hosea and Gomer in the bible. It is the best romance novel and is written with such detail that you could paint vivid pictures of the characters and settings in your mind as you read. A wonderful read!

      This book was very well written. Anyone who is religious however doesnt attend church weekly or practice all the time do not be discouraged. This book helped me better understand my faith. Its not only a love story between a young women and God but also a romance between a harlot and a very religous farmer. Anyone who loves a good romance book should read this. I can describe this book in one word...AMAZING.

      This novel is based on the book of Hosea. It is set in the 1850s in California's gold country. The female protagonist, Angel was sold into prostitution as a child. However, her life gradually changes after she meets a man by the name of Michael Hosea. The book is a great illustration of how God can work. I couldn't put this book down!

      This book was amazing. It reminded me why I love Francine Rivers' writing. This book is the retelling of the story of Hosea and Gomer with a twist. This story is set in the California gold rush. Angel is a woman sold into prostitution as a child after her mother's passing, and has known no other life, until Michael Hosea sees her one day. The resulting story is very moving and inspirational. The note after the story by Rivers is also very moving.

      This year celebrates the twenty year anniversary for Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, one of the most thought-provoking reads in my lifetime.

      Francine Rivers writes about a kind of love and forgiveness on a level that is seldom achieved by any individual. I was blown away by Michael’s diligence in creating change in Sarah, not through preaching and judging, but through love and example. This is one of those books that has left a lifelong impression on me.
