      Introduction

      Sealed with Love is written in the form of a letter. Although it is addressed to my grown daughter, its message is applicable to anyone. Penned in a way that is easy to relate to and understand, this book conveys an impression, at times, that the letter it is written to the actual reader.

      Sealed emphasizes the importance of love and forgiveness and how vital both are to us and our well-being—fundamental facts that everyone needs to know. My attempt is to provide a greater understanding of how to peacefully tackle daily difficulties. Without preaching, I shimmer light upon the way to master sin with help received through Jesus and not by subjective evaluation and works. Much like the first book I wrote, Chiseled—Discover Your True Belonging, I touch on worldly topics and share knowledge that has been revealed to me over the years by the Spirit of truth.

      But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

      Perhaps you or a loved one just need a pick-me-up. If so, allow this sentimental inspirational to direct you to a place of safekeeping, as you delve into the wellspring of life that brings hope, meaning, and purpose.

      Or, maybe you know someone who trusts his or her own strength in seeking pleasures of worldly pursuits that are sure to disillusion. Oftentimes, when we try to help direct others our thoughts become confused. In this case, expressing ourselves in writing may be the way to get through to that person. This book may be the ideal gift for someone who is struggling with his or her faith. As a token of affection, personalize and address this letter to your child or friend—or anyone at all. My hope is to give others the opportunity to say I love you and help lead that special someone to the path of freedom, utmost confidence, and undisturbed rest.

      It is my earnest prayer that every reader of Sealed with Love will grasp the love and truth poured onto these pages, and that God will use these heartfelt words to bless you and your beloved.

      Hello, Sunshine!

      A lthough we talk practically every day, I wanted to write you and share some things that are on my mind and in my heart.

      Let me start by saying how proud I am of you and your tenacity, which made you rise from such a difficult decline. Now, the enjoyment of watching you grow into a compassionate and grounded young woman is so rewarding—it’s priceless! And the way you humbled yourself by wanting me to talk about your struggles in Chiseled in hopes of helping others going through similar crises touched my heart too. It sure does say a lot about your character.

      I can’t help but chuckle every time I think about the comment you made after I saluted you for all of your effort. My remark to you was followed by, God is so amazing! Your voice collapsed as you replied, God, Mom! Do I not get any credit here? I knew then it was time to gracefully bow out and back off from my intentional mention.

      I immediately thought about all of the ups and downs and years of wretchedness you had recently bowled over once and for all. How could I possibly bring to naught the hopes and dreams of such a relentless young woman—and only child of mine—who has yet to be given this understanding? A comprehension that I didn’t know myself until not that long ago. After all, had I gone through over the last ten years what you had just overcome, by golly, I would want all the brownie points too! So, instead of trying to explain something to you that only God can make clear, I tried to see the humor in it and leave the rest up to Him.

      I will tell you this: My prayers for you have been unrelenting. Scripture tells us that we can present our children to Jesus, especially if we can’t reach them. So I have done just that. God gives favor to the seed of the faithful. I continue to drop to my knees daily, knowing that every little thing that has happened in your life has come to pass for good
