About this ebook

We often hear about people who find themselves drawn to another religion as they go through life. Perhaps not as often are stories about those who found atheism, especially later in life.
Author Terry Grant’s Reasoning—Born-Again Christian to Atheist is his explanation of his path to congenial atheism. Raised in a mildly Christian family, he became an agnostic after finishing college. He then became a born-again Christian before marrying a Catholic. But his journey wasn’t complete. He shares how, on retirement, his experiences brought him to evaluate the phases of life and the lifetime of questions that keep appearing and the importance of reasoning.
Grant explains his transition to a place of clarity, peace, and contentment for the first time in his life. He walks through the reasoning process of his findings, suppositions, and conclusions that reasoned his transition to congenial atheist. In Reasoning—Born-Again Christian to Atheist you’ll discover how his transition brought the author peace, contentment, and a clear understanding of how this process fits in today’s world and events.

This is my means of explaining how my life progressed from a child in a mildly Christian family to an atheist. The first change was to my self-perception as an agnostic after finishing college to a born-again Christian and then to a Catholic marriage and classroom teacher.

Upon retirement, all the experiences I describe bring me to an evaluation of the phases of life and the lifetime of questions that keep appearing. I have transitioned through all, and I have found clarity, peace, and contentment for the first time in my life.

Reasoning took me through all the phases. I walk through the reasoning process of my findings, suppositions, and conclusions that reasoned my transition to congenial atheist. This transition brought me peace and contentment as well as a clear understanding of how this process fits in today’s world and events. It leaves me with clear guidelines for understanding as new questions present themselves.

    Preface

This is my path of being raised in a mildly Christian family. I always have had a need for understanding the how and why of most everything. I truly live by the Christian values of our Christian Anglo-Saxon society and cherish them. I live a very ethical life … boring to many. I taught elementary and high school for forty years, and ethical living was my underlying foundation and curriculum. Here, I describe the underlying life
