      This is going to be the best party of the year!  I can’t believe we’re finally graduating.

      Connie smiled at her best friend Lisa.  The two girls had been best friends since kindergarten, and this fall they would both be heading off to Denver to attend college together.  She couldn’t wait to shake off the dust of this small town and experience life in the city.

      I wonder if there will be any cute guys at the party tonight?  Lisa mused.

      Nope.  It’ll be the same old boys we’ve known since we were kids, Connie responded.  That was part of why she was dying to leave Greysden. She had known pretty much every person in town since she was a pup.
