      Preface

      I am an engineer in the technology industry with a deep interest in spirituality and human potential. I am also the father of three children, and very much want to teach them how to live spiritual and abundant lives. From this background has come Regarding God.

      The word God can mean different things to different people (e.g., Heavenly Father, the Divine, that which is transcendent, ground of all being, etc.). However, it is used in this writing because it allows the reader to interpret the material through the lens of their own understanding of God, which is hopefully then augmented in some way that is useful and beneficial.

      I would describe the material as a merging of science, Western mysticism, and Eastern philosophy with both sports and positive psychology. I think I may have created something new. Perhaps comparable to combining different styles of music to create a new sound.

      What I think might be new (or very old and just described in a new way) is as follows:

      There is a universal transcendental experience that can be generated by different actions (e.g., various forms of worship, reading and contemplation, prayer, meditation).
