Day 1: God Is in Control
Whatever happens around the world or within the country (naturally, politically, etc.), the truth is there is nothing to worry about. Prayer is the cure for worry.
God is in control of everything! He is on His throne in heaven. When people worry, they do not have peace. Without peace, they will continue to be restless, not realizing that God has tomorrow in His hands, whatever happens. What a beautiful truth this is!
Philippians 4:6 says, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Worry can cause us to wander off. Again, there is nothing to be worried about. He is holding the earth together as we speak. He will not let things get out of hand.
Think about it: The more you pray, the more you have peace. The more you pray, the less you become worried.
Day 2: Waiting on God
If you are like me, you probably struggle with impatience—especially when it comes to waiting for certain movies to come out in theaters! The good thing about waiting for movies is that movies have release dates, showing us when they will come to the big screen. Even then, it is difficult to wait.
When you wait on God, He is not going to give a specific date for responding to your prayer or acting in your situation. He is going to act according to His schedule and His way. This often leads to that feeling of impatience and restlessness.
Psalm 27:13–14 says, I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
We must be willing to wait and to trust God throughout the process of waiting. Yes, it is hard—but be assured that time is in His hands. He knows exactly when to answer or act! Waiting is not a waste of time; it is trusting the almighty God to do what He has promised.
Think about it: Are you willing to wait?
Day 3: The Good and the Bad
Just when life was about to get better, God allowed pain to happen.
You assume that since God is good, He will constantly allow only good things to happen every day. You are wrong about
