The Truth About Conditioning Gamefowls - Sabong Culture and Art

    Natural and Non-Natural Conditioning Methods

The reason we believe gamefowls are natural warriors is because they possess an inherent spirit that cannot be changed. However, there are others who believe in the potential for even greater improvements to these magnificent birds. They aspire to enhance what they already admire about their feathered fighters.

There are two distinct groups of individuals who perceive gamefowls in contrasting ways. Let's categorize them as those who favor the natural conditioning method for their gamefowls and those who opt for the aid of medication to enhance their birds' performance.

In the natural conditioning method, we let the gamefowl grow and develop naturally without any outside interference. We don't want anything to disrupt their natural process. This also applies to how we train them—it should never involve external force because that goes against their natural instincts. We want everything to be as natural as possible for these amazing birds.

On the other hand, people who believe in using medication to boost their gamefowls' performance think that these aids are necessary when competing to win. They believe that their gamefowls need these things to give them an edge.

Whether you decide to go the natural route or opt for artificial methods, let's take a closer look at the advantages and disadvantages of both approaches. By relying on the innate process, you're cultivating a genuine warrior with authentic characteristics. The only complexity lies in being cautious when straying from nature's course regarding your gamefowl. Unfortunately, modern times heavily rely on synthetic substances, especially for treating avian diseases, which contradicts our desire for a purely natural approach.

Raising gamefowls in today's modern world can be quite challenging when taking a purely natural approach. It seems that almost everything involved in their care, from their feeds to vaccination and disease treatment, contains additives and compositions that are far from natural.

The only truly natural approach in conditioning gamefowls is the one for jungle fowls, where you set them free in the forest and don't worry about anything else.

Some people prefer to condition their gamefowls in a non-natural way, using drugs or supplements to enhance their performance. However, this method has its critics who argue that it may compromise the natural abilities of the gamefowls and cause long-term damage. These are valid concerns, but the use of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) is not a new phenomenon in any competitive field, whether it involves humans or animals. We have seen many cases of athletes who excelled in their sports but were later disqualified for using banned substances. This is illegal in human sports, but what about in gamefowl competitions? The answer is no, PEDs are not prohibited in gamefowl contests. This means that you have an opportunity to gain an edge over your opponents by using them.

Gamefowls have a natural warrior spirit, but winning in competitions requires more than that. It requires applying effective methods to train and prepare these gamefowls for the challenge. Luck is not a reliable factor, because it can favor anyone at any time. If you are lucky, good for you, but if you are not, you need something else to win.

The use of non-natural methods in conditioning gamefowls is justified by the need to enhance their performance and
