      Setting the Scene: The once-bustling metropolis was now a graveyard of concrete and twisted metal. Skyscrapers that had once pierced the sky now lay in ruin, their jagged silhouettes casting eerie shadows over the desolate streets. A thick layer of dust and ash coated everything, the remnants of a world undone by catastrophe. The air was heavy with the acrid smell of burning, a constant reminder of the fires that had raged and consumed.

      Protagonist Introduction: Alex moved cautiously through the rubble, their eyes scanning for any sign of danger or opportunity. Hunger gnawed at their insides, a constant, gnawing companion that had long since become a dull ache.
