Description

It has often be said that we are the sum of the 5 people we hang around with. Take a quick look and see how you are modelling their behaviour. Humans have evolved quite a sophisticated system in the premotor cortex, that allows us to mirror each other. It is thought this is why human language developed so rapidly compared to other species. Test it out and see. Try smiling at someone and see what happens in return. The mirror neuron system can be trained like other parts of the brain. The exciting part is that empathy and compassion also exist in this part of the brain. One day at a time and one smile at a time, perhaps we can build a more compassionate place to live. This is the idealist living in an unideal world.  Be with people that are good reflectors.Support the showLearn more at www.profselenabartlett.com
