In this episode I sit down with the multi-talented and amazing Chrissy Metz! You probably know Chrissy from her starring role as Kate in the award-winning NBC hit series "This Is Us." She is an Emmy and two-time Golden Globe nominee and the show was the winner of the 2018 and 2019 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensembe in a Drama Series and People's Choice Award for "Favorite New TV Drama." She has also starred as Joyce Smith in the hit 20th Century Fox faith-based film, "Breakthrough," where she performed the song "I'm Standing With You" on their Breakthrough soundtrack, which was written by 10 time Academy Award nominee Diane Warren. Chrissy got to perform that song during the 2019 ACM Awards. She has been in other roles such as "The Last OG" and the NBC hit series "Superstore." Before her role in "This Is Us," she was also best known for her roles in American Horror Story: Freak Show, Sierra Burgess is a Loser, My Name Is Earl, Entourage and many more.
But aside from her incredible acting accolades, she is also an amazing singer-songwriter and now a #1 NYTimes best selling author! In this episode you're going to hear the story about how she learned to carry a crown before she could wear one, about her journey on how she became Kate Pearson in that hit show "This Is Us," her musical journey as a singer/songwriter and what she has coming up soon along with great life lessons.
Her brand new book that's only been out for about a month or so now is incredible! I got the opportunity to attend one of her book-signings and it was literally a line through the bookstore to meet her and her co-author Bradley Collins who has also been a great friend of mine for years.
