School Age Child Care

Welcome to the School Age Child Care (SACC) Program – a great place to be a child!

SACC provides fun, safe and educational care for children in kindergarten-sixth grade before school, after school and during school breaks in select Fairfax County public elementary schools and community centers. Children with special needs are fully included in all SACC centers. In addition, SACC programs at Key and Kilmer Centers serve youth, ages 5-21, with multiple types of disabilities. SACC offers a sliding fee scale for income eligible families. Comprehensive health and safety protocols are followed at all locations.

The SACC program serves children five days a week, Monday-Friday.

  • Before School - 7 a.m. until school begins.
  • After School - End of school day until 6:15 p.m. SACC service begins when the children are dismissed from school.
  • Spring / Winter Programs - Full-day winter and spring programs are offered at a number of consolidated sites throughout the county.
  • Camp Fairfax - Summer camp program offered at consolidated sites throughout the county.
