The Titans have signed WR Tay Martin to their practice squad. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Martin was released from the 49ers’ practice squad ahead of Week 1. The 26-year-old will provide the Titans with a depth option on the practice squad.

The Giants are signing Jakob Johnson to their active roster. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Johnson will provide the Giants with an option at FB and TE. Based on how the Giants’ offense performed in Week 1, this could indicate a plan to focus on running the ball in Week 2.

Charles Harris is signing with the Carolina Panthers. (Source: Steve Reed on X)

Fantasy Impact: Harris will head to Carolina to help provide some depth on the defensive line after Derrick Brown suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury. Harris had 1.5 sacks in 13 games with the Lions last season.

The New York Giants signed WR/KR Ihmir Smith-Marsette. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Smith-Marsette is expected to play a role in special teams with the injury to Gunner Olszewski. He is not on the fantasy radar.

The Washington Commanders plan to sign K Austin Seibert. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The Commanders released Cade York who missed two field goals on Sunday. Seibert will take over the starting role at kicker for Washington.

The New England Patriots worked out TE Irv Smith Jr. (Source: Aaron Wilson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Smith was most recently released by the Chiefs. He would hold a depth role if he lands a deal with the Patriots.

The Steelers are signing P Corliss Waitman. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Waitman will come in and serve as the punter for the team after they lost Cameron Johnston to a season-ending knee injury.

Kadarius Toney is signing a deal to join the Browns' practice squad. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Toney has been visiting with multiple teams over the past couple of weeks, but he will ultimately decide to sign with the Browns for the 2024 season. He will start on the practice squad, but as he continues to get eased in, he may land on the active roster. Cleveland's passing attack is already struggling to support the top guys on their depth chart, so it's unlikely that the 25-year old finds much fantasy success with them.

Cade York was released by the Washington Commanders Monday according to the team. (Source: Washington Commanders on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: York failed to convert either of his attempts in Sunday’s loss to the Buccaneers and will now become a free agent. The Commanders will likely meet with free agent kicking options and add one prior to their Week 2 contest.

Free agent RB Kene Nwangwu has signed with the Jets’ practice squad. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Nwangwu will provide the Jets with a running back and kick returner on their practice squad. He will not hold any fantasy value unless he can carve out a role on the 53-man roster.

The Cowboys and QB Dak Prescott have agreed to a four-year, $240 million contract extension. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: The new contract extension will make Prescott the highest-paid player in NFL history. The Cowboys have locked up their franchise quarterback for the foreseeable future. He will remain a top option at QB for fantasy managers moving forward.

Eric Tomlinson has been elevated to the Chargers' active roster prior to the season opener against the Raiders. (Source: Los Angeles Chargers on X)

Fantasy Impact: Tomlinson provides more tight end depth to a room that already has Will Dissly, Hayden Hurst, and Stone Smartt. Tomlinson will be no more than a depth piece and will not be fantasy-relevant in this AFC West matchup.

DJ Chark Jr. has been placed on IR by the Los Angeles Chargers ahead of the season opener on Sunday. (Source: Adam Schefter on X)

Fantasy Impact: Chark was previously ruled out for Week 1, but ultimately, his injury was deemed serious enough to be placed on IR and miss at least four games. In his absence, Derius Davis, Brenden Rice, and Simi Fehoko will likely see more playing time. However, none are likely to be fantasy-relevant unless the Chargers are more pass-heavy than anticipated.

Robbie Chosen has been elevated to the Dolphins' active roster ahead of Week 1's matchup with the Jaguars. (Source: Adam Schefter on X)

Fantasy Impact: With five fellow wide receivers ruled out for the season debut, Chosen will be a depth piece behind superstar Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Braxton Berrios. Still, he likely won't be fantasy-relevant in this potential shootout.

Feleipe Franks has been signed to the Panthers' active roster ahead of Week 1's matchup versus the Saints. (Source: Ian Rapoport on X)

Fantasy Impact: Tight ends Tommy Tremble and Ian Thomas were ruled out for Week 1, so Franks was brought up to provide some tight end depth behind rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders, Jordan Matthews, and Messiah Swinson. Franks likely won't be fantasy-relevant in a matchup in which he is fourth on the depth chart.

Ian Thomas has been placed on IR by the Carolina Panthers prior to Week 1's matchup versus the Saints. (Source: Ian Rapoport on X)

Fantasy Impact: Thomas was expected to have increased playing time in Tommy Tremble's absence but will now miss at least the first four games of the season. Rookie Ja'Tavion Sanders will make the start in his regular season NFL debut and will likely see a significant portion of the tight end work.

Myles Gaskin has been elevated by the Minnesota Vikings for Week 1 of the NFL season. (Source: Adam Schefter on X)

Fantasy Impact: Gaskin will join the active roster as the third running back behind teammates Aaron Jones and Ty Chandler. Gaskin will likely not be fantasy-relevant unless either running back ahead of him gets hit with a surprise injury tag before Sunday's contest.

CeeDee Lamb has been activated from the exempt list and will play at the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. (Source: Tom Pelissero on X)

Fantasy Impact: After holding out for the entire preseason, Lamb will officially rejoin his team for the first game of the regular season. Lamb is a locked and loaded high-end WR1 and will look to continue to be the focal point of the Cowboys' offense throughout the entirety of the 2024 season.

Byron Pringle has been released by the Washington Commanders. (Source: Washington Commanders on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The Commanders are releasing Pringle and he is set to hit the open market as a free agent. He may land with a different team at some point during the regular season, but it is unlikely that he is fantasy relevant at all in 2024.

Spencer Brown has agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension with the Buffalo Bills. (Source: Mike Garafolo on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Brown has been a cornerstone for Buffalo's offensive line over the past few years, and the team just went out of their way to lock him down for the foreseeable future. This helps add a layer of long-term security to players like Josh Allen and James Cook, who rely on quality play from the offensive line to reach their peak fantasy production.
