Survivors of the severe storms and tornadoes that ripped through eight counties in northern Arkansas May 24-27 have one week remaining to apply for federal assistance. The application deadline is August 28.

If you have damage to a vehicle as a result of the severe storms and tornadoes that occurred May 24-27, you may qualify for assistance from FEMA. Here’s how to find out if you qualify for vehicle repair or replacement assistance

Survivors of the severe storms that struck eight Arkansas counties May 24-27 may be eligible for extended temporary rental assistance, including a security deposit. Continued Temporary Rental Assistance through FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program is available to storm survivors in Baxter, Benton, Boone, Fulton, Greene, Madison, Marion and Randolph counties.

Arkansas residents in designated counties who lost access to water because a private well or septic system was damaged as a result of the May 24-27 severe storms and tornadoes may be eligible for FEMA assistance.

Even if you have already begun repairing or replacing items that were damaged or destroyed during the severe storms and tornadoes of May 24-27, 2024, FEMA may be able to reimburse you for your expenses, if those expenses were not covered by insurance or other assistance. Be sure to save your receipts.
