We have hosted retreats for more than 30 years. Hidden away from the noise of everyday life. Finca el Moro is place where real retreat is possible. You teach and we’ll take care of the rest.

What do we offer?

 

First of all, we offer more than 30 years of invaluable experience hosting retreats and group holidays.

Accommodation for up to 15 people in our three beautiful converted stone cottages. Each bedroom is en-suite and each cottage has a private swimming pool. The cottages have tea and coffee making facilities and feel home for students during the retreat. 

Delicious meals served on the main terrace using our organic fresh farm produce. We plant the seeds, collect the produce and let the delicious ingredients speak for themselves. We offer mediterranean style cooking, recipes passed down from our grandmothers to our mothers. Literally. Hermione and Mariluz cooked for years together, learning from each other and now they’ve passed on the mantle to their daughters, Daisy and Sara.  A real family affair. 

We offer exclusive use of our facilities. Although sharing is caring, you won’t be sharing Finca el Moro with anyone else! We believe that each group is unique and that retreats are best when participants are all on the same wavelength. So Finca el Moro won’t take on any other guests during your retreat. 

The Shala is equipped with mats, blocks, bolsters and straps for you to use.

A spectacular circular space with wooden floors ideal for any activity such as Yoga, pilates, dance or gym work.

The initial structure (La Era) was built in 1907 as a threshing circle. Placed at the top of the farm to catch the breeze and therefore separate the husk from the grain. A wonderful place full of history.

It can also be transformed into a classroom for painting, writing or music workshops.

We are located in the heart of the Southern Sierras and the landscape is ideal for trail running, mountain biking and horse riding.

Finca el Moro will organise everything, transport, food, accommodation, massage therapies and extra activities. You teach and we will deal with the rest.
