“When I was drafted here, I envisioned a career where I would only play for this team,” said Campbell. “Eight years later, I have spent my entire career in Houston and I want to thank my teammates, both past and present, for their support and making me the player I am today. The organization has evolved so much since 2017 and it feels like we have a fresh start with the arrival of Ted Segal and the leadership of the club. I want to be a part of executing their vision for this team on and off the field.”
Campbell Continues Her Legacy With the Dash
As the 2023 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year, Campbell made Dash history as the team conceded the least amount of goals in their club history with 18 goals allowed in 22 games.
Over her eight-year NWSL career, Campbell has recorded 14,602 minutes and made 162 starts with a total of 492 saves.
As the NWSL is currently in Week 13 of the 25-week long season, Campbell has recorded five clean sheets and leads the league in all-time saves with 64 saves.
“Jane is an integral piece of the Dash and has proven she is one of the best players in the league. Her work ethic, professional approach, and commitment to her own development and that of the club’s as we evolve is world class,” said Dash General Manager Alex Singer. “She is our leader on the field and her impact goes beyond the saves and shutouts, as she is deeply engaged with our community. We are thrilled to have agreed to a new long-term contract and have every confidence in her to lead our club for years to come.”

In her most recent game against Angel City FC, the match resulted in a 0-0 draw. While Angel City were issued a penalty kick in the 55’ minute, Campbell successfully prevented the shot from reaching the back of the net to avoid Claire Emslie’s attempt, making it her 35th clean sheet in Dash history.
Despite Campbell’s individual success, the Dash are currently ranked No. 11 in the NWSL standings with a 3-6-4 (wins, losses, draws) record.
The Dash are set to host San Diego Wave FC on Saturday, June 22 for their first matchup of the season before they enter a two-game stretch while on the road.
