If you’re like us, then you’re completely and utterly obsessed with Netflix’s Bridgerton and need to know when the second season is hitting your queue. You've read all the Bridgerton books in order and now it's time to see the stories hit the small screen.

And now we know: Netflix confirmed Bridgerton season two will premiere on March 25, 2022. “Prepare for another social season. Bridgerton is returning for season two, only on Netflix,” read a tweet from the show’s account. (Bridgerton has also been renewed for a third and fourth season, by the way!)

Here’s everything we know so far about the popular Shondaland series.

The full trailer dropped on March 9, 2022. Spring is almost here—but more importantly, Bridgerton is almost here.

The first teaser trailer arrived on February 14, 2022. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Netflix dropped the first trailer for the series as well as a new poster.

It’s coming on March 25, 2022! On Christmas day 2021, one year after season one first dropped on Netflix, the Bridgerton cast and crew celebrated the anniversary by announcing the second season’s release date. Watch the announcement for a message from your faves:

Season two will focus on Daphne’s older brother. “We left Anthony Bridgerton at the end of the first season at a bit of a crossroads,” Van Dusen said on Today With Hoda & Jenna, “so I’m looking forward to jumping in and see how he fares in the marriage market.”

We'll also get more insight into Queen Charlotte. In February 2022, Golda Rosheuvel told Tatler, “I’m pleased they keep pushing the journey of her private life, so it’s not just about the glamour of the balls but also a deep delve into her heart. You’ll see a lot more of the yin to her yang. I just love that she’s such a complex character; she’s mischievous, dedicated to the Crown, dedicated to the gossip and the pomp and ceremony. It’s so fun to play.”

So, who is Kate Sheffield, Anthony’s leading lady? In the second book, The Viscount Who Loved Me, Kate Sheffield is the older sister of the woman Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) is set to marry, Edwina. But when she decides Mr. Bridgerton isn’t good enough for her little sis, it kicks off an enemies-to-lovers plot that readers love.

Back in February 2021, Netflix announced that Sex Education star Simone Ashley would be taking on the role of Kate, who will now be known as Kate Sharma. That May, People shared the first photo from the set of season two that features our new main couple, Anthony and Kate. What should the fans expect between these two? “A lot of arguing,” Ashley said on September 25, 2021 during the Tudum fan event.

It’s going to be driven by “peak thirst.” When asked by Vanity Fair if “peak thirst” is the mantra for season two, Van Dusen said, “Absolutely. We’re inspired by really delicious romance novels, and the sensuality [and] sexuality was always something that we were excited to be able to lean into on the show.” I’m already sweating.

That being said, Regé-Jean Page is not returning. Absolutely devastating. In June, Dynevor gave a bit more insight into what the series will look like without its broody duke. “It’s definitely different,” the Netflix star told The Wrap in an interview published on June 2. “And I’ve said it before, but I think the fans who have read the books and know the books are aware that every season will focus on a different sibling’s journey. And it might be a little bit more of a—not shock, but like a surprise for the fans that love Daphne and Simon’s story so much. But I think that’s honestly the joy of the show in the long-term, getting to see these different love stories play out.”

“I think he’ll definitely be referred to a lot. I think we’ll see the baby,” Dynevor continued. “And we’ll just focus more on her relationship with the Bridgerton family.”

We’ll finally meet the Bridgertons’ father! In May 2021, news broke that the series had cast Rupert Evans (Charmed, The Man in the High Castle) as Edmund, father of the eight Bridgerton siblings. Edmund, wife of Violet, was already dead at the beginning of season one, so we’ll probably see Evans in flashbacks or dream sequences. (The series doesn’t seem to be headed in a ghostly direction, but hey, we’ll see.)

Netflix calls the character “a loving and devoted husband, whose true love match with Violet Bridgerton gave them eight perfect children. He’s also an endlessly patient and kind father, who takes special pride in guiding his eldest son Anthony through life.” Can’t wait to meet him!

Your first look at season two is finally here. Netflix dropped a new video during its Tudum fan event on September 25. Damn, Kate!

On March 2, 2022, we got a fancy-schmancy new poster:

Netflix

Eloise and Penelope’s friendship will be tested. Near the end of the first season, we get the shocking reveal that the anonymous gossip columnist Lady Whistledown has been Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) the whole time. And with her best friend, Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), determined to figure out who Whistledown is, Pen is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Complicating matters is Featherington’s major crush on Eloise’s brother Colin (Luke Newton).

In the new season, things will get even trickier. Entertainment Weekly reports Penelope will invent a third personality—an Irish maid named Bridget—in order to get more information for her column. And yes, Whistledown will continue to wreak havoc on the Ton without qualms. “She’s morally excused herself from certain things to barefaced lie to her friend and make it okay, but she also wants to impress Eloise,” Coughlan reflects. “Eloise is on a pedestal for her. She thinks she’s the funniest, smartest, best person in the world, and I think a lot of Whistledown is to impress Eloise.”

Obviously, this could all blow up in her face. “There are two big secrets between them,” says Jessie. “My hope is that you’re able to get beyond those things, even if they are huge. But when you are that age and they have been ride-or-die for that long, you can imagine that it would be shattering.”

There will be more needle drops! The violin covers of modern songs like Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” and Ariana Grande’s “Thank You, Next” added a pop of pop to the first season, and the second season’s soundtrack will be just as good. Here’s the complete tracklist, courtesy of People.
