As soon as I meet Sydney Sweeney, she makes fun of me for using an iPhone. It makes sense—we’re underneath the Louvre, about to head into Unpacked, Samsung’s biannual product showcase, and she’s here to preview a competitor’s tech (and meet an AI-generated version of herself). Spoiler: She makes a great case for switching over. “You should probably go downstairs and get a Samsung,” she half-jokes, glaring at me. (Having a genuine movie star enjoy a laugh at your expense feels amazing, by the way.)

Since first appearing in Euphoria in 2019, the busy actor has shot to the top of the A-list, appearing in juicy rom-coms, horror barn burners, and infamous comic-book adaptations at a steady clip. The 26-year-old, therefore, takes self-care seriously amid all the travel her job requires. During our brief conversation in Paris, Sweeney revealed her on-the-go beauty routine, her favorite straight-leg jeans, the one-piece swimsuit she owns in multiple colors, and, yes, the Samsung tech she’s introducing into her routine.

The jeans she’s always wearing

When you’re Sydney Sweeney–level famous, you don’t buy much clothing—you get dressed. But she still has a place in her wardrobe for Levi’s 501s, the brand’s original straight-leg silhouette. “I wear a lot of vintage Levi’s [jeans] and overalls—I’m a 501 girl,” the Anyone but You star says. “I still have my same jeans from high school.” You can troll eBay for a vintage pair or you can start your own collection with these vintage-effect Levi’s in Sweeney’s preferred cut.

The ice roller she used in Euphoria

When Sweeney was about to film that iconic skin-care scene in season two of Euphoria, series creator Sam Levinson asked her what products she actually used. “During COVID, I ice-rolled my face a lot,” she says. “I just brought this whole tub of stuff [to set], and I did the ice rolling. I was like, ‘Wait, I forgot that I really love this.’ So every morning now, when I go to set or when I wake up, I ice-roll my face.” This is the exact pick Sweeney used in Euphoria.

The phone she convinced her family to buy

As you can guess, Sweeney doesn’t use an iPhone—she’s a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip fan through and through. (Check the receipts!) Now that the brand has introduced the sixth iteration of the foldable smartphone, she’s carrying one everywhere. “They’re like the best accessory for your bag—they fit in every purse, which I really love,” says Sweeney, who also appreciates the phone’s real-time voice translation feature for shoots in far-flung locations. “I’ve gotten my aunt to switch. I’ve gotten my grandpa to switch. I’ve gotten my dad to switch. It’s been really fun.”

Her travel skin-care routine

As a Laneige ambassador, Sweeney is serious about the brand’s most popular products. And on every flight she uses Laneige cleansing foam, applies the brand’s face moisturizer, and then immediately slathers the Water Sleeping mask on top. For her undereyes, she uses 111Skin eye gels to lock in even more moisture. “I wake up, and the mask is so dry, and I peel it off”—and underneath her skin is radiant and unaffected by the dry plane air.

Her lake-day essentials

A native of Washington, Sweeney grew up going to lakes every summer; she’s a big fan of slalom waterskiing. “I usually wear a good one-piece so I can rope-swing and do watersports—and everybody stays everywhere,” she says. She’s often spotted in a timeless Gooseberry swimsuit that goes for just $99; we’ve seen her wear it in sage, white, and black. And once she’s got her Laneige sunscreen in her bag, she’s “good to go.”

The tech she carries everywhere

Samsung’s first smart ring has convinced Sweeney to hop on the wearables trend. “It’s lightweight, it’s sleek, and I’ve been wanting to do something like that because I travel so much,” she says. “Something that’s tracking my sleep, my health, my energy, and is more personalized, [is] really nice to have at the touch of my finger—no pun intended.” Meanwhile, her earbuds are also from Samsung; she uses this noise-canceling pair to listen to audiobooks undisturbed on planes.

Her LA key chain

Hoping to emulate Sydney Sweeney in the most granular way possible? Here’s a trick: Get a Bronco key chain. “I have different key chains for different places, and they’re usually themed for wherever [I am],” she says. “My LA key chain has a bucking bronco from the Ford logo.” It tracks, seeing as the actor spends her free time fixing up vintage cars.
