Next Manager Sacked Odds: Favourites Analysed

Steve Cooper @ 6/1

Steve Cooper was brought in as Leicester manager over the summer after Chelsea snapped up former boss Enzo Maresca, with the former Forest boss already up against it before the season's started.

The Foxes look set to be handed a points deduction sooner rather than later, something that'll deal their survival hopes a huge blow going forward.

They've lost captain Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Kelechi Iheanacho this summer, with Leicester yet to replace either of these given their financial situation.

Leicester will have ambitions of staying in the PL this term following their promotion last year, something that may be beyond Cooper.

It's fair to say he should've done better than he did with the squad and finances he had at his disposal at Forest, with Cooper eventually being sacked in December 2023 after a string of poor results.

His Leicester side did manage to scrape a 1-1 draw with Spurs in their first game, however despite this the Foxes were far from perfect in terms of their performance.

His odds have dropped to just 6/1 following this, with Leicester's failure to strengthen in the transfer market another big reason for this.

Enzo Maresca @ 7/1

Maresca was brought in to steady the ship at Chelsea following his first ever season as a manager at Leicester the year before.

The Argentine did manage to get the Foxes promoted back to the PL at the first time of asking last year, however they left it somewhat late.

They only secured promotion with a handful of games to go, something that was surprising given how strong Leicester's squad was compared to the rest of the league.

He's got a tough job on his hands after arriving at Stamford Bridge during the summer, with this not helped by the Blues' movements in the transfer market.

They've made 10 signings and let go of eight players on a permanent basis, with Maresca needing a lot of time to gel his squad following this.

His attempts to stay in the job this year weren't helped by Chelsea losing their first game 2-0 to Man City.

Blues fans were clearly getting slightly frustrated with their side's insistence on playing out from the back slowly, with only time telling how long Maresca will last as Chelsea manager.

Sean Dyche @ 8/1

Sean Dyche has done very well to keep Everton in the Prem since being appointed as manager during in January 2023.

Last year was particularly impressive, as he kept the Toffees up by 14 points despite his side getting an eight point deduction throughout the season.

Everton has signed fairly well this summer, with Jake O'Brien, Iliman Ndiaye, Tim Iroegbunam and Jesper Lindstrom all solid additions, however they did lose Amadou Onana to Aston Villa at the same time.

Their first game of the season couldn't have gone much worse, with the Toffees losing 3-0 to Brighton at home whilst also going down to 10 men.

Dyche has a history of keeping sides in the PL, and we're backing him to do so this term should he stay in the job for the whole season.

His odds are down to 8/1 after Saturday's loss, with the bookies not confident he'll last the whole campaign.

Erik ten Hag @ 9/1

Manchester United were very poor last year as they stumbled to an eighth-place finish in the PL, however they did manage to qualify for Europe by winning the FA Cup.

That meant they've won a trophy in both of the years Ten Hag has been in charge, with their win over Man City in May being the only thing saving him from the sack after their poor showing in 2023/24.

United have signed well this summer, bringing in very high potential youth prospects in Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, with the pressure mounting even more on ETH given the amount they've spent since his arrival.

It's assumed that United will absolutely need to qualify for the Champions League this year for Ten Hag to avoid the chop, with it remaining to be seen whether they'll manage this given the quality of the sides they'll be competing against.

They wont 1-0 in their first game of the season against Fulham in a game that they were comfortably the better team.

His odds have risen following this, with United's clear backing of him in the transfer market and their winning start having a clear impact on ten Hag's odds.

Nuno Espirito Santo @ 10/1

Espirito Santo did what was needed of him last year, as the former Wolves boss guided Forest to safety after being brought in just before Christmas.

They did win just six games during the rest of the season, however this ,combined with the draws they managed, was enough to keep the Reds in the division.

Forest have spent a considerable amount since returning to the PL in 2022/23, with Notts Forest signing upwards of 30 players during that time as they look to establish themselves as a Premier League club for the foreseeable.

Given this, their owners will surely be expecting them to achieve a mid-table finish this term and not endure a relegation battle similar to the ones they've been involved in over the past two campaigns.

They did draw 1-1 with Bournemouth in their opener in a game Forest will be annoyed not to win given they were leading for most of the game.

His odds are up to 10/1 after their promising start, with Espirito Santo not looking as in danger as he was a few weeks ago.

How Does Next Manager Sacked Betting Work:

Betting on this market means you are betting on the next Premier League manager to be sacked.

This only applies to the first manager who will have left their current position at a club before kick-off on the final day of the league, 19th of May 2024.

If a manager leaves his club after 15:00 on the final day of the season then this won't count.

If no manager has been sacked then the ‘No Manager to Leave’ selection will have won, whilst if the manager you have bet on is the first to have left his post before then this will count as a win.
