Help Support Andrea's Battle Against Breast Cancer

Dear Friends + Family,

This January, at 37, my sister Andrea was diagnosed with breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma). As you can imagine, this diagnosis has turned her world (and ours) upside down. She has floored us all with her strength and positivity throughout this entire process.

She is currently seeking treatment at Dana Farber in Boston, MA. The care she has received here so far has been fantastic, and we are so grateful that she has access to such excellent medical professionals. However, the cost associated with weekly travel and lodging can be overwhelming. She recently discovered she was sensitive to the first round of chemo, and will now need to undergo "desensitization" treatments, which are much longer and will result in a 2 night stay each week.

Andrea was firmly against any kind of fundraising - but, traveling to Boston for two nights every week is expensive. We are launching this GoFundMe with the hopes of covering the cost of her travel expenses for the rest of her treatments. The costs include:

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to ensure Andrea can focus on her treatment and recovery each week, without the added stress of this financial burden. Everything raised will go directly to supporting her travel and stay in Boston, allowing her access to the best possible care.

Andrea is a loving sister, daughter and friend. She has always been there for us without question or hesitation. No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a significant difference as she works toward recovery.
