added a status update: TIDES OF FIRE will be hitting bookstores in 2 short months (August 15th). It’s one of the biggest, wildest Sigma stories I’ve ever attempted. The book trailer [See it here on Goodreads] offers some hint to what I’m talking about. I can’t wait to get this story into everyone’s hands!

James, my deepest sympathy goes to you & your family on the loss of your father. My father-in-law also has dementia, and it has been very hard on my husband, so we know what you've experienced. While I did not get along with my father-in-law in the past, he has forgotten our animosity, so I have been forgiving. I even give him a hug & kiss before we leave the facility where he resides. Your memorial to your father was lovely. Again, my condolences to you.

Wow and thanks! Glad you enjoyed the trailer. The next trailer for The 6th Extinction is coming soon and will be the last and final book movie I will do going forward. Hope you enjoy it when it debuts on the 11th of August.

Hi James,
First of all to get it out of the way since I'm a little starstruck here, you're one of my favorite authors. Secondly, thanks for friending me on here. Looking forward to reading the rest of the Sigma Force series when I've got the spare cash to get them.
Cheers, a fellow James :D

No, not at all. Any order is fine.

Thanks for adding me as a friend. I am in complete awe of how you can weave so many elements together, without overwhelming readers. I'm also amazed you can find so many real & interesting facts to add to your books. Orcas, volcanoes, native americans, founding fathers, specific quotes, it just boggles my mind.
I'm looking forward to Bloodline & I think I'll even get to go to a signing!

I wish that happened every time anyone read my book!
I wish that happened every time anyone read my book!
Sunday, I am sitting in my living room, when four huge military copters fly over my house, in what seems to be inches of my roof. I hust finished reading your newest book and had just started reading Stephen King. You can imagine where my imagination went. i was still checking to see if my heart was still beating when the booms started. By that time I have three 50 lb cattle dogs on my lap and I'm waiting for....? Several booms later and I wonder why the tv hasn't cut in to tell us what is happening. Later at the store I see a young lady in fatigues. So I asked her what happened? They were commissioning a new military center two blocks from my house and they set off a 21 CANNON salute. Wow, you would think they would warn people.
Thanks for adding me, Jim! I read Amazonia and LOVED it, so I'm starting the Sigma Force series now. I just finished Sandstorm and thought it was fantastic! Can't wait until I get to The Devil Colony--early American history is one of my favorite periods to study. Looks like a fascinating read! Have a great day, my new friend!

Map of Bones was the first book of yours that I read. I was walking through a Coles bookstore & the cover caught my eye. I really liked the sounds of it, loved the book & I've been a fan of your books ever since! Keep up the great work!

James wrote: "Andrea wrote: "do your sigma force series have to be read in order to understand the characters and plot?"
Hi Andrea. No, you can actually start anywhere in the series. However, there is character development that may be of interest to you if you read the books in order of release. "
I agree. I received the Doomsday Key as a Christmas present and read it first(book 6) then I had to go find the other 5 and I read them in order that I bought them: Book 5, 3, 4, 2 then 1. It made for an interesting read, "oh, that's what happened to him". The Sigma Force books held my interest and read them all last summer. I just started to read your stand alone novels and enjoyed "Subterranean". I've been told I am getting the rest of your collection for birthday and Christmas presents so I just have to wait till them.
Thanks for the great reads.
