I am just about done with the audiobook version of Snow Crash and I was wondering if this book is more suited to be read than listened to. Should I get the audiobook or the regular book?

The technical stuff is challenging, but not ultimately necessary to understanding the actual plot. (less)

I'm about 1/3rd into this absurdly, unbelievably great book! It's more addictive than crack. I left it in a B&B and had a panic attack when I was about an hour down the road and realized I'd forgotten it. Drove back like an F1 racer..retrieved it. Thank god. I've never read another book I'd have gone back for. Color me in love with Crypto and NS. Anyone relate?

Snow Crash is a much quicker read, but Anathem was equally enthralling in a different way.
I just started Quicksilver this week, after finishing Ctyptonomicon, and find it way more interesting having first read Crypto than it would have been otherwise. The Baroque cycle was inspired by research NS did for Crypto, and builds on ideas therein.
Though large, Crypto moves at a fantastic pace, and is consistently fascinating and entertaining. I couldn't put it down and highly recommend it.
TL;DR-Cryptonomicon is a great next book for you, as would be Anathem or Snow Crash.(less)
