This is easily one of the best fantasy novels I've ever read. It has pretty much everything you would expect: political intrigue, romance, action, and one of those plots that make you go 'just one more chapter, oh bugger, it's three in the morning and I have to go to work tomorrow', and then keep reading anyway.
The narrative flows naturally and is well versed, keeping you on the edge of your seat without dragging the plot out unnecessarily. The character development is outstanding, and you can see the characters progress naturally as their experiences shape them.
All in all, this is a must-read for anyone who is a fan of fantasy in general, and tabletop RPG's in particular. Ten out of ten. Can't wait for the next one.

I always say that when I read a book and the characters start to feel like family - I know the book is amazing!

When I completed Banished I was filled with a sense of dread and heartache knowing that I won't get to hang out with my "family" until book 2 is released.

The characters draws you in, the world is alive in your mind and every emotion is felt deeply. The story consistently goes above and beyond by exceeding your expectations and you can't wait to read what will be happening next.

I can not wait to hold the next copy in my hands - well done!

Banished, Awakening really took me on an imaginative journey. I enjoyed the storyline and character description, as well as the detailed character development. Each character had their own unique quirks. As someone who enjoys fiction, I found that the book had many twists and turns. It is a must read for anyone who loves fiction. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Very good read. If you love fantasy, you will love this book. I am 55 and this book is for young and old. The book takes you to a different world. While reading, you can imagine yourself being there with the characters. There are oriacles, druids, warriors, hag's, feafolk, and a satyr in the story. Everything and more a fantasy needs. You will love this! Cannot wait for the next book.

Although this is not a usual genre I read, this book captured me from the start. The characters come alive and I could imagine being there. Absolutely the best read in a while.

What an amazing fantasy novel. I enjoyed how the characters developed thoughout the book. I was taken on an unexpected journey. The characters helped me escape the real world and took me to an enchanted world. My ultimate favorite character was Sabina and her journey kept me intrigued. Now I can't wait for the follow-up novel. Where did life take Riley?
