1 book6 followersMárcio D'Astrain, screenwriter and director, was born on March 9, 1993, in Switzerland. At the age of five, he moved to Pombal, Leiria. In 2012, he attended the Artistic Studies course at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon. He has written and directed a few projects that include D'Astrain at the Cinema (2018), Floripes (2020), The Sound of the End (2021) and Saudade: The Lisbon I Never Knew (2022). In 2020, he won the Winter Award for Best Experimental Short at the Couch Film Festival in Toronto. "Serei a Vilã da Minha Própria História?" it's his first children's story, which aims to honor the village of Terrenho and embrace traces of the culture of the municipality of Trancoso.

I ordered this little book on the day it was released, I know it was a children's book, but it's not every day that we have a story set in our town. I read it to my nephews and they loved it. The story is very beautiful, I like the reference to Portuguese legends, including that of the Enchanted Moura and how I was delighted to learn more about the land of Terrenho, with beautiful photographs. Without a doubt, a tale that will go down in the history of Trancoso. I recommend it for all children.

It is a tale with a story where self-confidence is represented, the fears of what people say about us and how in reality things can be very different. The characters in this tale are very charismatic and it also comes with a brief history of the town of Terrenho - children will want to visit this beautiful land and live an adventure like the little witch Bianca.

Um dos livros mais inspiradores para os mais nossos pequenos é este. Uma viagem fantástica pela mágica aldeia do Terrenho que vos vai deixar com vontade de visitar a verdadeira pela histórica vila.
