The story was told from their POV in the pasThis is a brilliant thriller about three girls who bonded over their difficult experience in foster care. The story was told from their POV in the past as children and in the present as adults. I didn't know what to expect when I picked this up and I was blown away. Every part of this book was well thought out and well written. I was highly invested in all three sisters and reading about their journey from foster care to adulthood. I can't believe I've never read a Sally Hepworth book before but this certainly won't be my last.

There wasn't one moment that I wasn't rooting for Millie, our FMC. This book can get dark, so be sure to check out the trigger warnings before you pick it up.

I was hooked from the beginning and Mia Sheridan had an impeccable way of keeping you interested in every aspect of the story. I don't even like romance and I found myself sobbing and rooting for these two! The pacing is wonderful and I was never bored. Everything about this was perfect. Highly recommend.

Ma'am, the twists are TWISTING. My mouth was agape, on the floor, in need of a jack stand to bring it back up after the first twist was revealed. And make sure to keep that jack stand close by because it doesn't end there. I went in blind and I recommend you do too. Trust Queen Mary Kubica to take you on a wild ride.

The level of emotion that this book invoked in me is insurmountable. Reading half of the book, I imagined I would give this around 4-5 stars. It only got better from there. When I tell you the chills that I experienced while reading the epilogue. I did not expect to be sobbing at the end of a horror novel yet here we are.
I relate to the author on a personal level and I can imagine that's why I resonated with the message in this book.
