Thank you, thank you, thank you Sourcebook Casablanca and NetGalley for yet another masterpiece by Alexis Hall.
I know I may have an unhealthy obsession with Alexis, but praise must be made where praise is due. I discovered Alexis not too long ago, always thanks to Sourcebook Casablanca and NetGalley, with 10 Things that Never Happened and I never looked back since. I proceeded to read every single book Alexis has ever written and listen to the audiobooks (particularly if voiced by Will Watt). And you may ask yourself, Costanza aren´t you tired of reading the same author back to back all the time? Answer: no! Alexis is a genius -no I´m not exaggerating -, he makes me laugh and cry in the span of three pages, and his writing style is so witty and genuine that I feel like I´m reading the story of one of my crazy friends even though these are just characters and they don´t really exist.
For Real is the newest Alexi´s baby and if you like spice, BDSM, feelings, self-discovery, and lemon meringue pie, well you HAVE TO RUN THE 11TH OF JUNE BECAUSE YOU NEED THIS. YOU NEED IT.
And bear in mind, I´m not saying this because I am biased, I was very skeptic in the beginning. This was the first time a synopsis by Alexis didn´t immediately capture me. I´m not a big fan of the age gap and I didn´t know if I liked the idea of BDSM, but like always Alexis is just the best. The way he approaches all the themes, the spicy scenes, and the overall plot is just too good. There are various points this book was so gently handled.
I don´t think I have anything else to say. I would probably spoil something and I don´t want to. This book needs all the spotlight like does Alexis!...more

Thank you NetGalley and RB Media for an early copy of this audiobook! S.T Gibson really intrigues me, her books are like a tickle I cannot scratch. It happened first with a Dowry of Blood and again with Evocations. The story is interesting, and the characters are interesting, but something is missing. For the second time, while reading this author, I waited and waited for the big BANG, but what I had was continuos edging. As foreplay goes this delivers, but I want more! I wanted more David, more Rhys, and sooooo much more Moira.
The plot was engaging even though nothing was really happening, or just happening very slowly. Personally, I don´t dislike slow books, and I didn´t dislike this one, but I got bored at different points and that is not ideal.
The polyamory aspect of the book I really liked, she is very good with that and I loved the angst between David and Rhys and its overall arc.
David and Moira are also so well written, but yet again not completely pleasing. I wanted to see more about their platonic love and how they managed to integrate it with their romantic love for Rhys.

I love Talia´s books and she never steered me wrong, but this one maybe it´s my fav book from her. The bisexual MMC, the Fake boyfriend trope, the banter, basically every single word in this book was perfectly crafted for my enjoyment. Good Job! Even the back story was interesting, and even if it wasn´t dealt with in depth it gave the book that strong foundation it needed. Also again Nik and Arya were such an amazing pair.
I ran to listen to the audiobook because ok Rooke Kingston, the best female voice ever heard. She makes me shiver every single time and I love her performances. Truly, she could read the grocery list to me and I would be on the edge of my seat. Also the male actor, Harvey Fuller (also good name pal), was amazing and it´s not easy to accompany such a strong female voice, but he truly did a great job.
Thank you, like always, Dreamscape Media and Netgalley! You really help to keep my days interesting....more

It took me a minute to write this review because this series has been such a big part of my life in the past 3.5 years that I needed time to process. But here we are.
(( I don’t think I can call this a review, it’s more and emotional dump ))
Restless Stars comes after a loooong and painful journey and here I saw how the Twisted Sister wanted to give a price to the loyal ones who stuck with them until the end.
The book was long and sometimes rushed, but there were so many things to untangle that it could be otherwise. What surprised me was how every chapter was actually action packed and something was always happening.
⚠️The characters development was a little under the weather here, and it was a pity. Tory, Darcy, Xavier, poor Max and even Geraldine (who has a personality bigger than life) didn’t totally satisfy me. Like they were there but they were just being.

Nearlywed by Nicolas DiDomizio was truly the right book at the right moment.
Ray and Kip are about to get married. Ray is a Millennial writer who was used to sharing every single part of his life on the internet, while Kip is a GenX doctor who values his privacy above everything else. When Ray convinces Kip to take a romantic getaway before the wedding at the Earlymoon Hotel, the two will soon realize their marriage may be over even before it begins. And now the question is, will they manage to walk to the altar in two months?
I felt so connected with the character that at some point it was scary. I felt so much for Ray, and like him sometimes I couldn't understand Kip's choices. But in the end, no one is perfect, and when we care enough about the other person the best thing that can be done is to improve together and communicate.
For the communication aspect, I was to spend a couple more thoughts with you. I read some reviews talking about the miscommunication trope, but here this statement it's so far off that I wonder if these people have actually read the book. Ray and Kip had indeed a communication problem, but this wasn't due to the fact they weren't speaking to each other or omitting information, but because of internal fears that were clouding their judgments and didn't let them hear or see anything differently than what they had in mind. It took a lot of work throughout the book, it took being faced by third-party characters and directly clashing with their fears to actually let them open their eyes.
So to round up why I liked this book I can say this: 1. Witty and entertaining writing 2. Relatable characters 3. Creative setting
Also here are some reasons why I sometimes felt like one of the characters in it: 1. I have a Xena tattoo 2. I am allergic to bees 3. I have a fairytale marriage vision due to my parents 4. I love rock music but also anything celeb gossip
Finally, thanks to Sourcebook CASABLANCA and NetGalley for allowing me to read this ARC, I loved it.

I am completely, utterly, shamelessly wordless. Coming up with something to describe this book, let alone this series it´s almost impossible, because I am completely, utterly, shamelessly wordless. Coming up with something to describe this book, let alone this series it´s almost impossible, because just one word comes to mind: MASTERPIECE.
I knew Carter and Gavin´s story would have been my favourite. But what is the meaning of favourite when ALL the books in these serie are perfection and were my favourite at some point in my life?
TJ, I can and will give my soul to you, afterall I am already giving you my money, so same same.
Anyway. Since apparently I cannot explain myself, here is a list of things I likes about the book: - GAVIN! - CARTER! - The book from Kelly and Joe. - Joe vulnerability. - GAVIN! - Ox wolf Jesus. - Chris and Tanner platonic whatever (I need at least a novella about them). - CARTER! - Rico´s bright soul and Bambi girlboss greatness. - Robbie and Gordo´s relationship - Elisabeth - GAVIN - Will and his sense of humor - CARTER

This is book 2 in a standalone series and my first book from this author! For the first time when I receive a standalone Arc I wish I read the first book! I enjoyed this one a lot but I think it would have been even better if I knew Rhett story from the beginning.
Logan is really a scorpion but I loved his prickliness and all his insecurities. Merc is definitely the big brother he deserves and I loved their relationship!

I hate covers with faces/men/seminakedpeople on them. It always feels to me like the content of the book will be shallow and not worth my time. But in this case (and in many others, I am aware) it´s true the saying ´do not judge a book by its cover´.
Barely at 8%, I was already crying. Steph story was so sad and traumatic and I loved how the author approached it. In the end, this book is a romance book, but the slow burn and the easing into a relationship that is completely alien to Steph were so well executed, heartbreaking, and heartwarming at the same time.
