Seeing Ben get his own book was so fulfilling. When I started this series, I knew I was more than ready for his book and I was exactly right.
This couple actually means so much to me, Ben is an anxious werewolf and Eleanora is your grumpy mistrustful vampire succubus. I enjoyed their chemistry and their story.
"Dick biting"... is something that actually GAGGED me.
Eleanora getting justice was so deserved, she enjoys so much love and joy and Ben gives her exactly that. I love myself a man that not only is in tune with her own emotions but the emotions of those around him.
I really thought it was interesting to see Eleanora's character development into not only society but her own personality. It was so great to see her grow confident and loving within her on skin.

I had a blast reading Elizabeth’s book, I loved her character. She is someone that despite her struggles FIGHTS for herself and for those around her. She is a very passionate and determined character which I LOVE about her.
Stephan and Elizabeth complement each other perfectly. Their love for puzzles and all things logical is so perfect for their relationship.
As for the plot, I thought it was silly. At times it was entertaining and others it felt like filler. If you enjoy silly mystery movies like Clue or Knives out this is a great historical romance with those vibes

This is my first technical supernatural romance (shifter to be exact). And I was not disappointed.
This book has a little bit of everything (obviously we have our werewolves) we have fated mates, mental health and trauma rep alongside the found family trope!
Our FMC Ava is the one with the PTSD, and I appreciated how the author didn't brush aside her trauma for the sake of the romance. It was good to see how supportive Jax and his sister were towards her and her healing.
Shout out the Gemma for being a great therapist!
The plot was very Wattpad like which tbh I didn't mind. It was a great throwback to my Wattpad days, I did read this in technically 1 day period so to say I was entertained is spot on.
If you love a soft alpha MMC, this is a great book! He helps her with her panic attacks and is very considerate of her space and trauma.
Now I will be scouring the ends of Goodreads for more werewolf shifter recs, thanks Savanna for opening doors for me! Can't wait for the next book in the series!

He is def a good mmc, he has all the amazing qualities. Not only is he charming and sweet but he is also supportive and understanding. A rare species of a man if you ask me!

This book was very early 2000's romcom vibes (27 dresses to be exact). I enjoy my fairshare of romantic cheesy comedy's. This book will make you giggle, swoon, and cheer for the main characters!
There were a couples things I wish were a little different in the book itself, like I really NEEDED this to be a dual-pov. I feel like I would have fallen even more deeply in love with Matthew if he would've gotten his own individual chapters.
I also feel given the slow burn that this book is, it would've been perfect to see when they both start falling for each other.
I liked Josie's character, I could relate to her on some aspects, being the flighty and commitment issues gals that we are. Although, I do understand how other readers could have a complex relationship with her given her character can come off as "too quirky."
I do have to admit that I was bummed we didn't get a scene with all of the exes, I thought given the cover we would see them all at some point in the book. That unfortunately does not occur, instead we only actually ever meet one of them.
I did end up enjoying the book, I think I might have enjoyed it even more than The Long Game itself!
Super excited for anyone interested in reading this book! I hope you all fall in love with Matthew in the way that I have because he is simply AMAZINGGGG.

Morbidly Yours is a killer debut romance novel from Ivy Fairbanks. This book has a little bit of everything, opposites attract, friends to lovers + killer romantic tension. Also lets take a moment to appreciate the stunner cover which was the main reason why I requested the book!
Callum and Lark are characters that win your heart over the instant you meet them. As singular characters and as a couple! I think this experience is so rare in books, which just made me appreciate the authors talent in making such likable characters.
As a sucker for slow burn romances, this book was so addicting. Every time I flipped the page, I was craving even more from these characters and when they finally got together, it was so incredibly sweet.
Lets talk about these characters!
Callum Flannelly is an introverted irish undertaker determined to inherit his grandfathers funeral home. The one problem is... he must marry to inherit the family business.
Enters Lark Thompson, your extroverted sunshine gal who has recently moved in next door to a funeral home, while she's in Ireland for a job position as an Animator and Cartoon creator (And actively running from her past).
Together Lark and Callum form a friendship to aid Callum in finding the perfect woman and help Callum inherit the business.
Oh, what could possibly go wrong with that?
If you enjoy slow burns and a good friends to lovers contemporary romance book, this is the perfect book for you!
P.S. Callum is such a precious hidden gem. He deserves all the hype. He is my aesexual king (who dirty talks in irish ;)

The Art of Catching Feelings is a Baseball romance between a professional baseball player who has fallen into a "slump" in regard to playing baseball and an accidental heckler.
I wanted to go into this book completely unbiased (I dislike the secret/hidden identity trope). But this book unfortunately was a reminder to me as to why I truly dislike it.
Now listen, Christopher was a really great guy, he was sweet, charming, and clearly recovering from a devastating tragic loss. Enters Daphne who flips his life upside down.
The reason why Daphne's character really angered me was because she had so many opportunities to disclose to Chris who she was and yet she chose not to (which I truly do not understand why).
Instead, she leads Chris on, online and in real life. And proceeds to have a relationship while fully lying to him. I was so disappointed too because I wanted to like her character. Like I was rooting for her to do the right thing but she really let me down.
Chris deserved so much better, and to be honest... Regardless of the ending, I truly believe that they did not end up together because what she did to him was so fucked up.
Maybe some of y'all will actually enjoy this book more than I did but personally I just couldn't get behind what was happening....more

As Mexican Middle child bookworm, this book was so exposing (in the best way) . Isabel was a character that I deeply saw myself in and could relate to. This is the kind of representation that I adore and appreciate.
Isabel is an absolute favorite character of mine, seeing her flourish and find love that was reassuring for her made me so emotional because she truly deserves the best.
Liana De La Rosa did such an amazing job in writing Isabel's story, she truly didn't disappoint.
I love how Isabel didn't cave into the ton's judgment. She is such a badass on her own, and I am glad that this book showcased her talents. She is more than a Wallflower!!!
Sirius is literally perfect for Isabel, he sees her for who she is and allows her to shine. Seeing him go from a Rake to a star struck obsessed partner to Isabel was so fulfilling. Seeing his passion and love for Isabel made me sooooo feral.
I think it's important to acknowledge that a huge part of the book is the historical aspect, so the romance isn't the only main feature that is showcased in this book. I enjoyed the historical richness of this book!
Political intrigue is another one of the main factors in this book, which I believe everyone should be aware of!

I had a decent time reading this. The food descriptions were an absolute delight, literally my stomach growled several times throughout the book.
As for the romance... it fell flat. There's two main reasons behind this. My first reason consists of the sudden "move on" that Nazeli had over her ex. One second she's talking about getting back because she wanted to marry him and the next she's only got eyes for Vanya. The other reason was the lack of depth from Vanya (the love interest). I believe a dual pov would have been great for this book given that we barely get to know Vanya, we only get a few details but her character lacked depth.
Towards the end there's a weird time jump which I personally wasn't a fan of given how random it felt :/
Overall, this was a decent read, I didn't particularly love it nor did I hate it. I could definitely see this being others favorite book which I really hope is the case! ...more

This was a really cool low stakes adventure romance, featuring Bo, our nerdy MMC who is on a quest to reunite with his ex-girlfriend (who dumped him via text) and Alex, our FMC who accepts being Bo's tour guide because she is in desperate need of the money to save her inherited family business.
The plot/adventure takes course through out an entire week, so this book is very insta love. I personally didn't mind it because their journey seemed to have brought them closer and I could feel the chemistry between them!
Definitely a great book to pick up if you are looking for a short adventure rom com book!...more

Given that this is Simone Soltani's debut book, this had some sweet components. The characters were great and I loved the interactions + relationships between the characters. Excited to see more about them in the future? ;)
Cross the Line is such an exciting F1 romance, and proves the point how much we need of the sport in romance books. What made this book better was the POC rep in F1 sport. I seriously need more POC F1 romances PLEASE!!!!
Willow and Dev are characters that will make you smile, I hope you end up falling in love with them because they are truly precious.
Some part of the book that I believe I should highlight is that this book has a pretty rushed ending and a little confusing timeline.
The last chapter has a combined POV that splits the chapter, and we are hit with a LOT to unpack. Plot and Ending wise, I wish that the author would have incorporated this earlier into the book, just so that the reader wouldn't be overwhelmed in the end.
Like it was mixed with a TWIST and your typical sweet epilogue material so it was hard to point out exactly how I felt about the ending.
As for the timeline, you'll see what I mean if you chose to read the book. In one of the chapters, there's a confusing time flashback but it's not clarified that it's a flashback until later on.
It was also kinda hard to pinpoint what exactly was the plot of the book, so I consider the book to be more of a filler kind then one that really has a sense of direction.
Apart from that, it was a cute book! I am excited to see and read more of Simone's work!...more

Going into this read I was super excited given that it was a Queer Romance with Hollywood as it's setting featuring two college professors.
Unfortunately, this book fell flat for me really quickly. I think the book had potential but the form it was executed in wasn't one that I found favorable.
For starters, I wish this romance would've been a dual POV, I think having both Val and Maeves POV could have done a lot for this book. It would have added much more dimension to the characters and their relationship. Having this book be strictly through Val's perspective, it was tough to understand the relationship that she and Maeve had.
I found myself having a hard time following the timing of this book because when the Val and Maeve meet for the first time. Val thinks Maeve dislikes her so they have this sort of "Disliking" relationship. This lasts up until about the 25-30% mark and next thing you know they like each other and are flirting and BAM! It's a serious relationship with commitments & "I love you's."
So in other words, this was a really fast paced romance more than what I normally would be comfortable with just given the lack of relationship foundation. I feel like they really didn't know each other much to enter a relationship so soon :/
My last point here is going to the conflict. I thought it was utterly unnecessary. The "conflict" was something that EASILY could have been solved with a dinner table conversation with one another. So the fact that they couldn't have such a simple conversation over the "conflict" arose some flags for me.
Despite my review, I had enjoyed the first 15% of the book and I really think this book could have had potential and benefited a lot more if we had Maeves POV. So in other words this book was moderately "ok" and pretty forgetful....more

But How Are You, Really stars our FMC Charlotte who is invited to her college reunion five years after graduating from there. Throughout the book Charlotte goes through a self-discovery journey in which she tries to find her voice under all her overwhelming feelings including her burnout.
This was a pretty decent book, I wasn't able to enjoy the scene of the book given that most of it seemed filler but it wasn't a bad book in general, I also believe that one of the reasons I wasn't able to click with this book was because of the genre it was categorized in.
When I saw this on Netgalley I saw it was being promoted as a romance but I wouldn't really categorize it as such given that the romance is not the MAIN theme of the book.
I also saw someone promote this book as a hockey romance but that's not the case either given that the love interest doesn't play hockey in the current timeline that the novel takes place in. If you would give this book a romance trope it would be more of the "second chance" trope.
Another thing that caught my eye on here rather than any other platform was that the book was tagged as "Lesbian" the FMC is NOT a Lesbian she is a Bisexual so I'm not sure why it's tagged as Lesbian...
Honestly, I don't think the book is being promoted in the right way... It's not a romance given that the romance is NOT the main plot of this book, it's being promoted as a hockey romance by some reviewers which isn't the case as well, and then we have the fact that it's being tagged as lesbian when that is not the case either.
This book is the self-journey of a Bisexual woman trying to find her voice and better her own life. The romance happens to be a subplot of it and even then the romance isn't DEEP. This book would be much better promoted in the Contemporary Fiction genre and LGBTQ+ fiction rather than the romance genre.
Overall, this book wasn't bad but it also wasn't great. I believe it could have potential if it was being marketed and promoted correctly....more

Now, I went into this book hoping to meet Phaendra, a badass fmc who is a race car engineer. Instead, I met a "pick me" fmc who not only brings down women but her own co-worker because she believes he is "sexist." Yet Cosmin isn't the true sexist between them...
Phaendra has a spheal in which she talks about how she hates "women-only" gyms and that to me KILLED her character for me. I understand that maybe she might not be a fan of them but to tear down their existence was unnecessary for me. To be entirely honest, I think Phaendra struggles with internalized sexism and unfortunately there is no confrontation of this.
If you are looking for a girls girl fmc in this book, you won't find it.
As for the actual romance of the book, I really couldn't feel it between the main characters. Phaendra's dislike towards the MMC Cosmin goes on to affect their work life to the point in which they are required to take a trip to get them to bond but instead, we see sudden increase in feelings.
Reading it felt like a fast paced ride that I was forced to go on.
This is one of the books that instead of a relationship, I wish both characters went to therapy rather than pursuit a relationship because I personally do not believe their relationship actually lasted longer than a few months....more
