I'm going to speak about the story with more depht in my wrap up, but for now I just want to speak of one character.
KHALID.
He is so precious, I just want him to be happy! Really, he is something special. It's been a while since the male protagonist of a book didn't made me roll my eyes with his cheesy lines, but Khalid managed to melt my heart with some quotes that normally would've made me cringe. I was smiling like an idiot, and he gets away saying stuff like:
“What are you doing to me, you plague of a girl?” he whispered. “If I’m a plague, then you should keep your distance, unless you plan on being destroyed.” The weapons still in her grasp, she shoved against his chest. “No.” His hands dropped to her waist. “Destroy me.”
“My soul sees its equal in you.”
“And how will you know when you’ve found this elusive someone?” Shahrzad retorted. “I suspect she will be like air. Like knowing how to breathe.”
I'M SWOONING, you hear me!?
I also loved Jalal, I think he was the best character in the book....more

EDIT: I think I'll add the reasons I gave this three stars. Don't misunderstand! I really liked the book! It was cute and funny, but I think it was not for me. As I said in my review of Eulberg's other book (The Lonely Hearts Club), this book would've worked perfectly if I were 15 years old. My little brother read it at the same time as me and he absolutely LOVED it, and yeah, he's 15!
The characters really annoyed me sometimes, especially Levi!!! BUT a part of me really liked him, he was sweet and so funny, but OH, he deserved some kicks in the gut :).

The pace was slow and sometimes the chapters were just plain boring, I only started being intrigued towards the end.
I didn't find it predictable, I couldn't guess the final outcome until all the clues were laid in front of me, and yes, I was kind of surprised, but it wasn't mind blowing, it was more like: "Oh... really?"
Also, the characters were hateful. AND I KNOW I wasn't supposed to sympathize with them, but I didn't even find them interesting, I wasn't rooting for anyone, I didn't care about what happened to any of them.
I enjoyed the book, don't get me wrong. It just disappointed me a little. There were some things I liked, but I can't even remember them... I was about to lower my rating to 2 stars, but something inside me keeps telling me this deserves better, so 3 stars it is! ...more

Terminé extasiada, me fascinó.

I just know it broke me. And that it is definitely NOT more happy than not. It is more like "More depressing than not". Ugh, I ended up so distraught :(.
I kind of liked it, but I could never really connect with the characters, although I really liked a bunch of them (Aaron, Gen, Aaron's mom, Eric, Evangeline and Thomas, specially Thomas). I didn't care about them as much as I feel I should, and I was surprised when I started crying towards the end! So I warn you: THIS BOOK WILL WRECK YOU. It's a sad, sad book with little glints of happiness. And I have nothing against sad or tragic books, I love them! It's just that this one didn't really do it for me, but it isn't a book I wouldn't recommend.
ALSO, I LOVED the plot twist! I wasn't expecting it and it blew my mind, had me reading until 4 AM and I had to work the next day!

Segundo... ME ARREPIENTO DE HABER CONOCIDO CÓMO PIENSA CHRISTIAN. OMG. ¡Ana me miró!
Ya qué....more
