Verity and Alex's story was a wild one, but man...I was enjoying the ride. Their chemistry from the very beginning was amazing. There wasn't much build up, but it was written in a way that still made it feel as if you've read 100 pages on them. Their personalities just meshed so well and I quickly became enamored with them.
The plot of this book was absolutely WILDDD. It started off a bit slow but it quickly picked up and when I tell you the ball just kept on rolling...It was one thing after another after another and I was NOT ready for it, but I loved it. The plot twists just kept on coming and at no point could I guess what was going to happen next. It was like a thriller with magic and mystery. I loved the way the ending turned out and the journey this book took you to get there.
HOWEVER...it should be a crime that the next book in this series isn't coming until 2026. THAT IS CRIMINAL.
This book was beautiful and magical and mysterious and I could not recommend this series enough. I know it's not finished and it's a long wait but the endings don't leave off on cliffhangers (mostly) and they're SO easy to binge and become immersed. I don't even know what to say other than I love this. I love Madison Kate, I love Kody, I love Steele, hell, I even love Archer. Not only am I crying from this ending, but I am also crying from grief of this series being over in one more book.

I have never been able to relate more to a fictional book character than I have with Ellie. Her struggles and demons she had I sadly related to in more ways than one. I thought the chemistry between her and Rafa were off the charts and the tension? THE TENSION? Gag me please or else I will not shut up.
It was so beautiful to read of the mending relationship between Rafa and Nico. These two boys have bee through hell and back and in the end, they came out stronger than ever. Ellie and Nico's relationship was so wholesome and their countless scenes together just made my heart so full.
I'm telling y'all right now...RUN. Don't walk, run to read this series. I was very worried that there would be "second book syndrome" but that was not the case at all. I found this beautiful, deep, and warming. This is such a 5 star series for me!!

When I tell you that Elsie completely delivered on Violet's story, I mean it with my whole heart. When I read the Chestnut Springs series and I saw Violet introduced, I knew I needed to read her story. And when I tell you I did NOT expect it to be this one? I was thrown for a loop but in the best way possible.
When we first meet Violet in this book, she's very shy but eagerly wants to prove herself and make it known she's not just the Eaton boy's baby sister. Her character development in this was so beautiful. She was overall just a beautifully written character. I liked the uniqueness of the plot, as Violet uploads a nude picture of herself and that's actually where she ends up meeting Cole.
Cole was very briefly introduced in the first book and he came off as a very broody, cold person. While reading this, though? He's actually the sweetest man. I LOVED seeing him come out of his shell and develop into the character he was. A huge reason I really like Elsie's books is because she adds so much depth to her characters that it actually feels like you know them. I really WANT to know them. I know that when I dive into these books, I'm ready to be transported and immersed.

When I read Saving 6, I wasn't the biggest fan of Joey and Aoife's story. I was really scared I was gonna end up not liking this from how I felt about that book. But I can confidently say...I am a believer. Everything about Joey and Aoife's story was gut wrenching and beautiful at the same time. I could not ask for a better book and story than this one. I lost count of how many times this book made me cry and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
Hearing Joey's side of the story about the domestic violence and the way it impacted him just hit so much harder than it did with Shannon. I think that might be because I could relate a bit to some level. Either way, this book truly holds such a special place in my heart. I could not imagine this being told better in any way, shape, or form.
Joey and Aoife deserved the world and I will continue to think about this book until the day I die. This story was unique and handled with such care. Chloe Walsh, you did amazing. I think the fact that this hit so much harder was because of how raw and real it was. This is actually a very unfortunate reality for some people and I really do think this highlighted such a hard topic but was handled very well.

I was absolutely enamored with everything about this book. The characters, the plot, the writing, the setting, everything. I can't remember the last time I giggled and laughed so much at a book. This made me feel so warm and fuzzy and made my heart feel so full. I was LIVING for the spice. Elsie you truly have done it, ma'am. I cried, I laughed, I was kicking my feet, I was angry. I channeled every emotion while reading this book. This was also really fast-paced but not in the weird insta-lovey way, but the overall plot moved fast and it played out really well for the timing of the book and it's events. Forewarning...there is a third-act breakup. Yes, it was stupid and yes, it was unnecessary. However, the book itself was so beyond good that I didn't mind it all too much. MY THOUGHTS
This book was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. But it was also so, incredibly ugly.
Shannon and Johnnys feel like my new babies. I would do anything for them. Chloe Walsh did such an amazing job making these characters deep and well-thought out and they had so much substance to them. When you look at them, you might think, "Oh, Shannon is just the shy, bullied girl and Johnny just cares about rugby." While yes, that is true, there is SO much more to them. Even from day 1, Johnny was there to take care of Shannon and you could immediately feel that bond between them. They truly do have something special. Shannon's personality was so quiet and timid and rightfully so given the information about her in this book. Not only was she bullied and tortured by her classmates at her old school, but also by her father at home.
Trembling, I clung to his body and prayed for him to be my strength in this moment because I couldn't do this anymore. I couldn't live like this. I was so alone. All my life. I was so scared.
When I tell you my heart absolutely shattered for Shannon, that would be an understatement. My heart was ripped out of my chest, thrown on the ground, and ran over by a semi-truck. The abuse that she and Joey have to endure by her father in this book was something soul-shattering, Shannon especially. I cannot put it into words. This was raw, real, and ugly...And I couldn't stop reading. I don't know what compelled me to, but something about this story line just drew me in and kept me hooked for the entire time.
Masochist or not, if I turned back and looked at those midnight blue eyes again, I was going to drown in them.
Johnny and Shannon had their moments in this book, but when you really take a step back and look at it, they're teenagers. Their communication is not going to be great and perfect. Nothing about this story was perfect. Just like real life, it had its ups and downs and it had its flaws. But it's so easy to love this book as it is. All you want to do is scoop Shannon up and cradle her and tell her it's going to be okay. And Johnny did such a good job of caring for her the way he did. He never pushed her to tell things she wasn't comfortable with. He was always there to stand up for her when she couldn't do it herself. His loyalty never swayed, and I loved him so much for it.
Overall, I was very intimidated to read this because it's such a long and heavy series, but I am so glad that I picked it up. PLEASE make sure to check the TW before reading because this is VERY heavy and should not be taken lightly. I think Chloe Walsh did a brilliant job of writing this book and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I expect my heart to continue to break and I welcome it. If you haven't read this series yet and you want to but were also intimidated, this is your sign!! Not once did I ever regret picking this book up.

The Plot: This book was a wild ride and a half. This delivered everything and more that the first book was missing. I can confidently say this is one of my favorite romantic fantasy series I have read so far entirely. The way Penn Cole write this plot just draws you in from the very beginning. The world is absolutely beautiful. It truly does transport you to this world and once you're in it, you really don't want to leave. This is such a perfectly written slow-burn. THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT!!! Diem and Luther...my ride or die babies. It does not get better than them. The lengths he goes for her in this book just warmed my heart and made me giggle and squeal. This book truly was *chefs kiss*. I will say though, this series is very heavy. I definitely need a breather and a break after this long book before jumping into almost DOUBLE the size of the next book. This really reminds me of the likings of SJM books and the way her plots and characters are written out. There was little to no spice just a few comments here and there, but if you're a true slow-burn fan...boy do I have a recommendation for you. The ending of these books never cease to leave me on the edge of my seat. I always leave wanting more and more and more. I'm convinced there are drugs in this book because of how addicting this series is. 100/10 would recommend!!!
The Characters: It's so hard not to love everybody in this book (besides Henri if you like Henri we cannot be friends sorry I don't make the rules). To witness the progression of Diem's struggles and see her blossom into her new role in this book was just so magical to see. Her character development was SO. WELL. WRITTEN. She is a certified badass. Luther is my baby boy and I would do anything for that man. I loved seeing the roles of family and new found family blossom in this book as well. The friendships that were formed and even the enemies that were made just fit so well and everything just made sense. Everything had a purpose, and I LOVED that!!
Overall, I liked this better than the first book!! I think it included more politics and the magic system made more sense and the writing just overall was better. I will forever be recommended this series to everyone who can sit down and read a long book cause this entire series is a long and heavy one. The Characters: First off, I just have to say that Chloe is me and I am Chloe. The way that her illnesses and chronic conditions were described was SO well represented. I, too, go through almost exactly what she does to some degree. I think she was written so well, and her personality really reflects those who have struggled with chronic conditions and pain. It really effects us as people with chronic pain!! Seeing her come out of her shell as the book goes on just made my heart so happy. Chloe is such an amazing representation of a strong woman despite going through these hurdles in life. Now onto Red...Red is THE STANDARD. THE. STANDARD. He is the definition of if he wanted to he would. Chloe and Red were a reverse grumpy sunshine (Chloe is grumpy and Red is sunshine). I also wanted to point out that Chloe is plus-size so we get that representation as well!!! I LOVE all the representation in this book.
The Plot: As someone with chronic conditions and pain, I thought that Chloe was extremely relatable and I loved her journey throughout this book. She starts off as this very stand-offish woman who has gone through her fair share of battles. But we really see her open up thanks to Red and their experiences. Her entire journey was so inspiring. This book does dive into history of domestic abuse so please check the TW before reading this. Red and Chloe's relationship was just so beautiful to read. We all have demons, but it's all about how we overcome and learn to adapt around them. This book was beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! I wish there wasn’t a third act breakup…but there is. However, it wasn’t because of miscommunication it was because of trauma and I can understand it much more. This is by far my FAVORITE in the series!! OH MY GOD THIS WAS SO GOOD???? I will be thinking and dreaming of this last book for the rest of my life.
The Characters: If I didn't love Logan and Lana as much before, I absolutely do now. They are definitely up there with some of my favorite book couples. I loved that we got more of Lana and Jake's relationship in this book! They are everything and I'd be blessed if I could have them as siblings. They really are the perfect definition of ride or die. The fact that everyone was so supportive and went out of their way to love and care for each other was amazing.
The Plot: God the plot in this last book was so good. I LOVED seeing the endgame play out in all of their phases. Tears were shed and I physically could not put this book down, nor did I want to. It had the perfect ending (the one I was hoping for) and the simple fact that in the epilogue, Logan's gift to Lana??? PLEASEEE I was on the floor. This whole time I just wanted more and more and the book gave me just that. I will not be forgetting this series ever. The overall plot was unique, it had twists and turns every chapter, if you haven't read this series...DO IT. Although I didn't like the first two books as much, it is worth pushing through and reading the rest of the series.
The Writing: This has probably been the fastest read I've done in a very long time. I was able to finish these books 1 a day and sometimes even less than that. The author really knew how to write this so neatly and pull it all together. I was not left with any unanswered questions, and every book together came tied nicely in a pretty bow by the end of it.
Overall, I will be highly requesting everyone to read this series. It was such a treat and it may not have been a favorite individually, but it definitely became one of my favorite series overall. This series has a special place in my heart and it will stay that way until I die. I will take this to my grave. ...more

The Characters: If you thought Veyka was a bad bitch before, just WAIT until you read this book. Her character development through this series has been unreal. To go from someone so selfish and only thought about herself and her wellbeing to protecting her realm and her friends and even humans, who she despises more than anything. It was insane!! When we are introduced to the fae prophecies, Veyka was so stubborn it was a little aggravating, but I could understand. Veyka and Arran are my everything I love them so much. Them being fated mates just made everything a million times better. Their bond is unmatched. I will say this with my whole chest...PARYS DESERVES JUSTICE!!! What he went through and got was so unfair, and over these two books I've grown to love him. I would kill for him without a second thought....more

This was truly my first ever Lauren Asher book and it is safe to say that it will not be my last. This has to be up there as one of my favorite reads of the year. Dahlia and Julian are absolutely one of my favorite book couples I've had the chance to read. Their banter is everything. They're so funny and witty it's almost impossible to hate them. I really connected with Dahlia as a character. Her struggles I found very relatable and raw and I loved it so much. Julian is THE standard for book boyfriends. I loved the duel POV from both of them and I loved hearing both sides on their history and how they both overcome their past mistakes just to make things work. It made me all giggly and happy AH. Loved loved loved this.

After a natural disaster, Lore is summed by the high fae to work in their library, which holds hidden magic that Lore is tasked to find, as no fae can enter the library, in exchange for the rebuilding of her town. Once Lore finds a magical book that she has harnessed its powers and learned that her town is in fact in worse shape then when she left, she is determined to learn and master her newfound magic in hopes of saving the people she loves.
MY THOUGHTS It is safe to say that this has the most in depth magic system and world building I have yet to read in a fantasy book. At the beginning, I'll be honest I was very confused. The book kinda just throws you into the deep end without really knowing much. However, if you stick through it (about 15% of the way through) it gets SO GOOD. I had the most magical time of my life reading this book. The world building was INSANE!! I could actually picture myself in this world as if I'm Lore. Absolutely incredible. I could not put this book down for the life of me. I'm still in utter awe.
The side characters in this book have my entire heart. Isla and Finn? I'd marry them both. Speaking of characters...Lore's character development? Unreal. It was so amazing to read her powerless and how later on she uses her powers to save those she loves just made my heart so warm. She must be protected at all costs. Now let's talk about Asher...I dont want to spoil anything but before the plot twist, he would be my new book boyfriend. He was so baby I loved him so much.
