This was such a cute story with characters that had me laughing out loud and a storyline that held my attention. I never know what I’m going to get from this author other than it’s going to be a crazy ride. And Pucking Millionaire was definitely that.

Mason and Sophia were so good together. Their chemistry was off the charts and the world they live in had me in stitches while other times I wanted to thump one or the other upside the head. Nothing was predictable except for the laughter, the steam and a perfect ending for this perfect couple.

While this had some mysteries as to who was after Magnolia, there was so much more to it. The suspense was still there but the romance was stronger as were the close friendships. The ending was pure perfection and I found myself consuming this book in one great big gulp and then wanting to read it again, slower.

I loved everything about this story from the trope, to the characters, to the evolving relationship between Edmund and Autumn. This author did an amazing job of painting a picture of this couple alone on a deserted island. I never found it to be trite or overblown. Their lives felt realistic for the situation which pulled me further into their story.

While I was definitely invested in Sarah, I was always anxious to get back to Anna’s world. Afterall, it was filled with fairies and tales that excited and shook me in equal parts.

This story switches back and forth between two time periods and women, but it was not difficult to keep up with where the story was with each jump. The characters were all engaging and kept me intrigued with each turn of the page. I loved the touch of romance as well as the angst I felt regarding a potential villain.

When she spills coffee on a handsome stranger she immediately feels attraction to him, not knowing that he’s been monitoring her actions. As they become closer Hadley has stars in her eyes not realizing that Axel is keeping a deep dark secret from her. One that has the potential to rip her heart out.
I loved Axel so much! He was so totally in it with Hadley. Every step he took, every decision he made was to keep her as long as he could before the inevitable would happen. Once his secret was revealed there was no way she would want to be with him and my heart hurt at his assurance that all would be over when that day came. And that day must come soon, and he’s the one who must reveal all his secrets to her, quickly. That was just additional angst to an already fraught situation.
Hadley was so sweet. She deserved all the goodness life could offer and she has fought hard to become something more. When things take a drastic turn she never loses her control. She may not be able to physically take down a threat, but she keeps her emotions in check and handles each change in her perceptions with a strength that was compelling to read about. She was the perfect woman for Axel and together they were amazing.
Each book in this series has gotten better and Innocent Target is no exception. Definitely my favorite of the group at this point. Axel and Hadley both checked all my boxes for a great hero and heroine. This is a fast paced read with lots of action, well developed secondary characters that added to the plot rather than bog it down, so much steam you’re going to need a fan, and an ending that will leave you with a happy and contented sigh.

I really enjoyed the eerie tension that permeated this story. It is not filled with twists and turns but rather questions that seem impossible to ever find an answer to. Everyone is a suspect which had me anxiously awaiting the final revelation. I liked that the characters, despite being suspect, were all relatable. Ms. Pekkanen’s writing flowed, giving this book a quick pace yet also creating a dark, gloomy atmosphere at times that had me ensuring my door was locked.

Life has thrown Sloane into a vulnerable position but she’s far from being fragile. I appreciated that she was able to pull herself up and take steps that didn’t offer any guarantees. She’s actually one tough lady and watching her deal with a case that would make the strongest of individuals weak had me admiring her all the more.

Dan is everything I love in a Freya Barker hero. He’s a little rough and rugged, the type of friend who will drop everything, and all kinds of swoony when it comes to his thoughts and reactions to Sloane. And oh lord, there is nothing more alluring (as in my ovaries just exploded) than a man tending to a baby. This author knows exactly how to paint the picture and stir all the emotions along with it.

As with the previous books, this book took me on a ride that had my heart racing from one page to the next. I never knew what was coming and found myself rocked by the twists and turns this author gave me. Every word gave me the most intense reading experience to be had. This is paranormal romance on a level I’m not accustomed to.

Az is a hero I, initially, wasn’t sure I could ever get behind. Finding Jade brought to light for him everything he had been missing and it was thrilling to watch him fall in love. I appreciated that Ms. Eden did not make him a cliche by changing his personality but rather added to his appeal by keeping so much of him the same as he had always been except with a deeper understanding of his emotions.

I know that we have one other book in this series and I’m anxious to get to it. However, there are so many other characters and threads that I could see spinning off of this. Fingers crossed.

Nova and Gage have had a thing for each other since their first phone conversation when he was completely rude and she told him off. As coworkers and Gage her almost boss, he refuses to act on his attraction to her. When Nova sets off to help a friend in distress, Gage invites himself along and they soon find themselves in a mess of epic proportions. And that’s all it takes for the walls around them to collapse.
While I may not have been completely convinced of Gage’s reasoning for staying away from Nova, there is no denying he is one delicious jealous, protective and obsessed hero. Despite the fact that she can take care of herself, he has a deep seated need to protect and care for her. Nova is completely independent and more than capable of her own protection but it does feel good to know that Gage has her back. And once she finally got her foot through Gage’s proverbial door she was going to go for it all.
This had a bit of push and pull to it as well as chase from each main character at different times. With all the drama surrounding this couple, this story moved very quickly. Gage and Nova were both very likable and the heat factor between them was intense and felt real. The resolution of their problems regarding the bad guy seemed a bit forced, and rushed but I loved the epilogue and was more than satisfied when this story ended.

At the very heart of him, however, was a kind and gentle spirit. Rosalind’s spirit showed itself in the way she nurtured her garden as well as the wounded soldiers she cared for. Each of them struggled with pain from the past and neither thought to ever find healing.

This is my first time reading anything by this author. Her talent was displayed in how well developed these characters were along with an engaging storyline. Within an hour’s block of reading time, I laughed, swooned, gasped and cheered. And now I am going to check out her backlist.

This story took me by surprise with all of its layers. Each one building the tension and adding to the overall richness of the plot and its ultimate conclusion. I was totally consumed and found myself being pulled further in with each turn of the page.

Zinnia and Morse (Death) are a couple that I will not forget easily. Their evolving relationship ran me through my whole gamut of emotions. I found this a tangle of heartwarming, heart aching and heart wrenching, making me smile, swoon and not just cry, but sob my heart out! Without a doubt, this is my top favorite read.

I enjoyed this “ex’s best friend” story. Cash has been in love with Callie for years and yet his loyalty to his friend has kept him at a distance. Now he can’t seem to stay away, but what will happen to his friendship and most importantly, the business they share together, if news of their relationship gets out?
Callie had a real struggle on her hands but she was strong and determined despite the emotional obstacles that stood in her way. Cash was wonderful! He was so caring and supportive of her every step of the way. I loved when his alpha tendencies arose! I was so curious how this whole situation was going to sort itself out because it felt like someone was going to lose along the way. The ending was maybe a tad bit tidy and smooth for the circumstances, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
This was a well-paced read that had some great secondary characters, some of which I wanted to push out of a fast running car. The heat level was steamy and oh so good with some dirty talk, which I LOVE, thrown in and the chemistry between Callie and Cash was at overload. There’s an epilogue that only covers a few weeks, so I would’ve liked a further look into their future, but I closed this book feeling happy and sated and again, so pleased with this author’s work.

I thought I knew what was more than likely going to happen. Other than one small guess, I was wrong about everything else. From the beginning there was nothing but one unexpected twist after another. The characters took me by surprise just as much as the storyline. When I wasn’t reading this, I was thinking about it and angsty to get back into it. This author is quickly making their way onto my favorites list.
There is no doubt in my mind that Noelle Adams is the queen of the marriage of convenience trope. The Engagement Pact is a perfect example of it. Woah! This was not what I was expecting. I knew going in that this was not in the romance genre and that really excited me. I love when an author stepWoah! This was not what I was expecting. Especially when they blow my mind the way Ms. Keeland just did with The Unraveling.

This story pulled me in pretty quickly. I immediately was invested in what had happened, where this character was now in her life, and what her motivation was. As the answers were revealed, new questions arose. And I loved every mysterious, twisty turn it took. I recommend staying away from any reviews that give away too much of the story.

I’m not a huge fan of character driven plots. Usually, the characters cannot keep me interested. However, this is the one where I fell fast and hard fI’m not a huge fan of character driven plots. However, this is the one where I fell fast and hard for a character that is the odd girl out, the socially inept, and is as complicated as they come. Obviously I’ve been reading about the wrong type of characters in my previous books.

Lenny pulled me into her world the first time she turned her teapot three times and from that moment forward, she felt as real as any character ever could. While much of Lenny’s story was mysterious, heartbreaking and her personality at times resembling myself or someone I know, this book was layered with moments that made me smile and even more that had me cheering her on.

I cannot believe this is Ms. Mayne’s debut novel. It is pure genius and I found myself rereading it as soon as I finished it. It still plays in my mind at random times and if ever there were a story that should be used for the “big screen”, it is this one. The one where the world fell in love with Lenny Marks.
