After Ultra-Processed People, I discovered a book on weight control through these drugs, like Ozempic and Wegovy—because who needs dieting? This book explores the pros and cons of new weight-loss drugs and stresses the importance of considering the bigger picture when addressing obesity. I rated this book 3.5 stars. I've read his books "Deep Work" and "Digital Minimalism". In fact, when you slow down, the results of slow productivity are effective. Slow productivity suggests three core principles: Do Fewer Things: Instead of trying to do everything, prioritize and focus on a small number of truly meaningful tasks. Work at a Natural Pace: Design your work to accommodate your own rhythms and energy levels, not rigid external demands. Obsess Over Quality: Shift your focus from quantity to quality. Prioritize producing excellent work.

What stole our focus? The answer might surprise you. We spend too much time on social media such as Facebook, Google, Instagram etc. The tech giants are designing tech and algorithms to exploit our attention for profit. Other factors include environmental pollution, poor sleep, and nutrition, which impact brain function. We can improve our attention by limiting tech use, prioritizing sleep, and incorporating meditation into our lives. We should slow down and focus on one thing at a time. Try not multi-tasking...

We don't need to overbreathe; instead, we should breathe lightly and efficiently. Proper breathing positively impacts our health and performance. I gave it 3.5 stars. This book has a good title, "The Power of Regret," which attracted me to read it. We thought regret was a negative emotion, but it is actually a good force that can help us make better decisions in the future. People often regret not taking risks, not spending time with loved ones, not living authentically, and not learning from mistakes. We can deal with regret by facing it head-on, learning from it, and finally moving on.

Do you want to live up to 120 or 200 years old? Of course, I want to. Do you want to live up to 120 but your body is weak and painful? Of course, you don't want to. Dr. Mark Hyman is trying to help us to live longer and better. We cannot stop our chronological age but we can reduce and maintain our biological age by advances in science. Wow! I read another book about meditation or mindfulness practice. Tsoknyi Rinpoche and Daniel Goleman shared their experience and the techniques of meditation for both beginners and experienced meditators. I like this quote "Whatever happens, happens. Whatever doesn't happen, doesn't happen." The author came up with a clear understanding of meditation's benefits and provides a blueprint for incorporating meditation into daily life, leading to a calmer, more focused, and balanced mind. I tried some of the simple practices. Feeling great!

I think this is a book we should read before we are getting old or sick. We must be aware that we will die one day. Being Mortal reminds us of the complications to decide on medical treatments for terminal illnesses such as cancer. This raises questions about how we can improve care for older people and those with serious illnesses. The author talks about for creating better healthcare systems that prioritize the needs and desires of patients. Remember, everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and have a say in their own healthcare decisions. I felt empathy and forlorn when reading the stories about patients and their families in this book.

Discovered and came across very much of the living tips that we hardly know such as pooping, eating, vomiting, and constipation. How to sit and what position makes us pass our solid waste from our body effectively. What is the result caused by the "not my toilet" syndrome? How can Probiotics and prebiotics benefit us? Goodreads Choice Award Winner for Best Nonfiction (2022) I gave 3.5 stars for this book tends to repeat certain phrases and ideas throughout the book, which can become tiresome for me. This book explores the meaning of human connection and the language we use to describe our experiences of it. The author, Brené Brown, draws on her extensive research in social science and psychology to map out the different ways that people connect. Overall, I find that this book is not particularly actionable, as it focuses more on describing concepts than on providing concrete solutions.

This book mentions two types of mindsets: the fixed mindset and the growth mindset. Fixed mindset individuals believe abilities are innate and cannot be changed. Growth mindset individuals believe abilities can be developed through hard work and dedication. The book provides too many examples of how a growth mindset can lead to success in areas like education, sports, business, and relationships. It discusses the benefits of embracing challenges, learning from failures, and seeking feedback to foster a growth mindset. In my personal opinion, this book is boring and monotonous.

The book is about aging and how to slow down or even reverse the effects of aging. Dr. Sinclair argues that aging is not an inevitable part of life and that there are things we can do to increase the number of years we can live in good health and quality life. He examines the science behind aging, including the role of DNA damage, epigenetics, and metabolism. One of the main strategies he recommends for extending health span is caloric restriction or intermittent fasting. He also discusses the potential benefits of certain supplements, such as NAD+ boosters, resveratrol, and metformin. Dr. Sinclair emphasizes the importance of exercise and maintaining a healthy diet for extending the health span. According to him, he doesn't give medical advice and endorse supplements or other products. Overall, "Lifespan" is a book that presents a compelling argument for the possibility of extending the human lifespan and improving health in old age through scientific research and lifestyle changes. I may follow his advice to improve my life.
