A lot of what they were doing they were taking on faith that what Sam thought was going on, was, yet it worked. In the end they were able to defeat the bad guy, help a dear friend find what had been lost and hopefully helped the Fae Queen.

But after having read it, the book kinda needed to start slow, things had to be laid out, because there was so much more going on than an airplane crash, that it happened on Antarctica, made things so much harder for Miranda and her crew.
There were so many political ramifications in this one, it was crazy! I thought it interesting how, we the reader, got to see what the powers at different countries were doing while the action took place and how they kept in touch with their people and the directives given.
Since this one was more than just a crash, it was fun to see Holly sort of take the lead. Of course it helped that she was called directly for help, sort of putting Australia first in seeing what was going on. But Holly had other skills that were good, talking to people without alarming them and getting to the bottom of what was really going on.
Things got a bit harry towards the end, threats that should not have been even possible, consequences of the threat and finally consequences of what was done on a larger scale. I didn't mind how one country got taken down a peg or 3, they needed to for their actions.
Once everyone was back home, it was nice to see the whole group back together, with a couple of couples realizing things about their relationships.

This one was fun to read, the only drama was from a competing reindeer farm and filled with lots of people who were excited to be turned into wolves. It was fun to see everyone react as they learned shifter wolves were real and that they had the option of being one, then seeing them on their first few wolf runs. Add all of that around Christmas and there really is no downside to this one!

I found I got frustrated while reading this one. The same issue at the start of the book was there at the end of the book and it all centered around SI found I got frustrated while reading this one. Seth finally telling Beck and Heavenly about his past, yet not the whole story, claiming he was over/past things, but clearly he wasn't. Through it all both Beck and Heavenly asked what they could do to help, maybe he should see someone to help him through things, but he needed to do something because he was hurting their relationship. I was glad when they finally told him the last bit. Seth really needs to see that he could loose it all and then where would he be???
One a side note, as frustrated as I was about our trio, there was some good things in this one. First off Seth's twin brothers, who were so funny! I did find it a bit odd how good they were with Zach, but the 3 of them in their swinging bachelor pad was a good thing. I did think Seth's hypocritical speech to the boys was bad, especially when he got busted later. One high point for Seth was the first talk that he gave Zach, Zach needed to hear it all, but better was the talk that Zack gave Seth at the end, very on point and brutally honest.
The other funny part, as long as you are only an observer is the whole Pike, River, Dean thing. Was it easy, no, but through it all Jack pretty much demanded frank and open talk. It started when it was just him and Clara dating, then added Bodhi in when Jack was going to met Declan, their son. Then you add the attraction between Bodhi and Jack, there was no way this wasn't going to work without each adult doing the hard work of talking about things, it was great to see. Even when Jack had his PTSD flare up, they talked about things. Sure Jack had to go away to really fix things, but in his own way he communicated and Clara and Bodhi went forward with their lives as Jack was going to slide back in, the right way to go. I loved seeing how things were in the future for everyone, nice to see them living happy.

Oh boy...this one really got to me from the start to the finish. We finally learned more about Raven's life and to say that up until she showed up at Oh boy...this one really got to me from the start to the finish. We finally learned more about Raven's life and to say that up until she showed up at the shop it was a shit show would be underwhelming. It was due to her past that when her evil incarnate uncle showed up with a 13 year old brother she didn't know anything about, but immediately fully claimed, made perfect sense. Raven didn't even have to think about it for a second, she just took in the boy and went about changing her life to fit him in. I loved that she called in her friends for help, as she needed so much. From finding a new place to live, to getting Falcon kitted out with the normal things kids need, like clothes, to getting him set up for school and learned sign language due to Falcon being deaf. Her list was endless and she knew her girls would help where they could.
The siblings took to each other, a bit warily at first, but as Falcon became more comfortable with Raven, he saw that he was in a safe place and was able to share things with her. Things would have been totally good until a bad CPS agent seemed to have it in for Raven and came after her. With help from Sloane, they were able to put her off, but they all knew it was just the beginning. When the CPS lady made her final move she basically slit her own throat. She pissed Sloane off so much he called everyone in, they called the lawyers and everyone they considered family and the war council commenced. I was just happy that the judge saw what was really going on and acted appropriately. Finally Raven was free of her past and could start to let people in and live her life happy, something she very much deserved....more

I really could have done without the drama from Nix's ex, but glad that was taken care of once and for all....more

I couldn't believe how horrible the family was and just when you thought it couldn't get worse it did! I was a bit stunned when everything came out, but loved that they got just what they deserved!
It was fun to see Piper's family get involved. They seemed like they could give the Lincoln's a run for their money on love and inappropriate family talk, yet it made me love them all the more! I especially loved the ending when everyone, including the MC, were having an afternoon of fun and food at the Lincoln house. Not sure that was wise for the men to let all the women get together and talk, I'm sure they all will be regretting it at some point.
Through everything it was fun to see Talon, once he got his head out of his ass, be with Piper. The two of them were great and they just needed to have faith that things would get taken care of, so that they could live their lives happy, which is how things ended up for them....more

Betrayed at every turn, by people who should have your back. It was due to that, that I didn't think Reece's action were too much/that he went too far, he did what needed to be done and then exposed it all. I did like the help that he got along the way, people that were paying Reece back for different ways that he'd helped them over the years. I was especially glad with the last call that Reece got, I just hope he does something about it....more

But if you are a person like Holly, having someone like Reacher around is a always a good thing. He's so calm and level headed, it leaks off, giving you the same.
I liked that Holly trusted Reacher to help her, to be an ally in the craziness they were in. Little by little they were able to figure out what was going on, come up with a plan and help to make sure the bad guys didn't win. I thought it interesting how all but one of the people trying to find Holly thought Reacher was a bad guy, helping the other bad guys, but the one that really knew him adamantly vowed he would not. In the end, he was right and Reacher proved it with his last act. Now he can safely be back on the road doing his wandering thing....more
I read the Bree Taggert series, so I was familiar with the name Morgan Dane, but it still took me a bit to see how these 2 series were sort of connectI read the Bree Taggert series, so I was familiar with the name Morgan Dane, but it still took me a bit to see how these 2 series were sort of connected, due to being small towns near each other.
I liked Morgan from the start. It seemed like she was working hard to get back on her feet after loosing her husband and raising her young girls. I loved the relationship she had with those helping her, the support she got and gave out. Logan was interesting, loved seeing his crush and him not sure what, if anything to do about it. I also loved seeing Logan stunned when he kept seeing Morgan take care of herself in dangerous situations and how he thought it was great how strong she was after the panic subsided.
The case they were working on was bad in so many ways. From the death of a young girl, to the one that the police thought did it, to everything they discovered along the way. I'm glad that they were able to expose what happened and where able to get some bad people off the streets. I do like the new partnership that is being formed, the 3 of them work well together, it will be fun to see how things go....more

So many good songs of my junior high days. But like many people I kinda forgot about George Michael. As I listened to the songs that were 30-40 years old, it amazed me how they still stood up and were good today and how young George was when he came up with them. I wonder what George's life would/could have been like had been able to say from the start he was gay and be accepted. His struggles hiding so much of who he was at his base had to wear on him, causing his massive drug use. Even later in life, when he was outed, it seemed like he was still fighting those demons. I'm sad George is gone, but at least we have his music, which is still so good!...more
Like so many others I grew up with Sesame Street and Muppets, there was never a time when they weren't there. While I was too young for the original run of the Muppet show, but I remember it in reruns.
With this book the big thing that came across was how much fun Jim had in his work, how he wanted everyone to enjoy his muppets, that they weren't just for kids, but adults too. His childlike enthusiasm made everyone want to be around him, to work for him, to be having fun too. While Jim did have some flaws, it was still hard for people to not love him and want to do their best for him. It's too bad that he died so young, I'm sure he would have brought so much more fun to life, but at least we have his work to remind us of him....more

With how this one ended, I'm really am looking forward to the next one....more
