Tänker på soulsångtexten "don't need no ticket, you just get on board" (People Get Ready) och tågresan som metafor för livet och döden. Se instagram @mindthebook...more

Passionerad, men plågad.
Just nu kan man se 'The Last Caravaggio' här i London.

"There are no walls or fences. My garden's boundaries are the horizon."
Förra året vid den här tiden läste jag At Your Own Risk, en brittisk Just Kids.
Perfekt påskläsning....more

"We go into the orchard for apples. But what we carry back is the day among trees with odor, coolness, dappled light and time."
Får omedelbart två egna associationer. Litteratur ska fungera så:
Övriga dikter handlar mycket om de kvinnor Gilbert levde med, särskilt om sorgen efter Michiko, men en annan tillägnas Linda Gregg: "From this distance they are unimportant, standing by the sea. [...] the marriage is almost over".
"The sultry first night of July, he in bed reading one of Chandler's lesser novels. [...] Rain makes a sound on the birches"
And I don’t go in for freakish behavior nor esoteric knowledge."

"Lou hoped scandalously to live her own life [...]
In the past few years she had let go her ties to people she did not like, to ironing, to dining out in town [...] She ignored whatever did not interest her. With those blows she opened her days lika a piñata. A hundred freedoms fell on her. She hitched free years to her lifespan like a kite tail. Everyone envied her the time she had, not noticing that they had equal time. [...]
The bay and the ocean and daytime did not change. Lou lived in color fields."...more
