There is more plot and less sex in this book than the previous one in the Clarity Coast series. The lesser amount of on-page sex scenes makes sense because of Ocean's body image issues, but I did miss the fantastic smut that Devyn writes. These Alphas were very easy to love. They were so gone for Ocean immediately and did everything in their power to reassure her and show her their feelings. Ocean's story wasn't always easy to read, but I really appreciated the honesty and vulnerability shown by writing it. Very excited for Trinity's story. I'm hoping it's with a certain hacker friend......more

It was beautiful to see how this pack came togetherSo sad this my time with Pack Hart has come to an end. I fell in love with these Alphas even more. It was beautiful to see how this pack came together for each other and for Meggie. The mix of action and relationship development was perfect. The spice was on point - very hot and just the right amount. At times I felt frustrated over some character's actions and nervous about what would happen, but there was no need for me to worry because these authors had the story well in hand. The conclusion was satisfying and left me feeling positive about Pack Hart's future. I can't wait to read more omegaverse books from this duo!
Thank you to the authors for providing me an ARC....more

I feel like I got dropped into a world that wasn't explained super well. What is the Council? How does it operate? Why does it exist at all? Why is she only going to one ball? Why is sex referred to as knotting? Why is there such a short time frame to confirm pack relationships? Lots of little stuff added up to make feel this was not as fully realized as it could have been.
I'm also not sure I read a romance story. It felt more like a book about people becoming comfortable with each other and deciding to be together for practicality sake. There was a bit too much internal exposition instead of dialogue. Faedra's personality felt inconsistent. At the beginning she's very up front and blunt, but then becomes almost shy and afraid. I didn't love this pack. Their personalities weren't strong and I wasn't able to keep everyone straight even at the end. The OW drama and life-threatening injury was drama for drama sake. I think I may read Violet's story, but this doesn't leave me very hopeful that I'll love it.
And what was with all the commenting and highlighting everyone's ear piercings???...more

The building sexual and story tension was delicious. There is explicit on page spice, and when it hit it was fabulous, but it wasn't excessive in frequency which makes sense for the circumstances.
I felt for Meggie's predicament. She's dedicated, hard working, smart, and caring.
Pack Hart is wonderful. Their personalities were distinct and it was easy to keep track of who's who. I enjoyed the different established MM relationships within the group. As of now, Nils has my heart. He was so sweet to Meggie when he learned her secret.
FYI: One of the Alphas is dating a female Beta at the start of the book. It's clear this is not a deep, emotional connection for him, but I know that may turn some readers off.
I can't wait to get more relationship development in the next book and to see how this Pack fares at the Olympics. Both new and seasoned fans of Omegaverse romance are sure to enjoy this book.

This could have been filled with external drama and angst but it was not. Instead we get the story of an Omega that has been given the shit end of the stick all her life finding her happiness. She learns to accept the support and love she deserves in the form of two Alphas and one Beta that have so much love and care to give. Their road to their HEA isn't entirely smooth, but the maturity of these characters ensures that all the bumps are faced as a team and handled quickly....more

The plot has been done before and the writing was basic. The characterization lacked depth and little to no emotional connection other than "scent match" was done. If you want something mindless for a refresh between heavier books, this would work. I skimmed a lot in the last handful of chapters and understood the story just fine. I have no desire to read more this author....more

There was no reason to make this a portal fantasy. She could have just been a late-presenting Omega.
I feel like people who really liked this book have not read other books before. I skimmed the last quarter. I will not continue this series or read this author again....more

The premise was a little bit too ambitious for this debut to meet. The abundant sex scenes felt repetitive towards the end. They were all very similar in feel and choreography, and took the place of real emotional communication. I did enjoy the characters and there was a lot of sweetness. I would read the next book to see if the author's writing grows. ...more
