Jamie and Kage were very toxic and definitely didn't have an ideal relationship, and yet for whatever reason I read the 3 books of this series in two Jamie and Kage were very toxic and definitely didn't have an ideal relationship, and yet for whatever reason I read the 3 books of this series in two days because I simply couldn't stop, I needed to know what was going to happen.
The ending did feel a bit anticlimactic and I’m not sure how I feel about it that I know that there are 3 more books about Jamie and Kage. Can I just pretend this is their HEA? ...more
This book was such a waste of my time, just to say it took me 6 days to finish it and usually I would have read it in a day.
It is for sure in my Top 5This book was such a waste of my time, just to say it took me 6 days to finish it and usually I would have read it in a day.
It is for sure in my Top 5 of most hated books ever and I've read some very awful books so that should say it all.
I hated so many things about this book that I don't even know if I'll be able to organize my thoughts and explain them, so spoilers ahead I guess.
-Why is Tristan a 30-something-year-old dude who is supposed to be the macho-army archetype suddenly acting like a teenager pouting and whining all the time? - Tristan saying he is a top, then saying he only has experience with hand jobs and blow jobs with his bros, then saying he prefers twinks and small women, then saying he waited until DADT dropped to join the army but also saying he is not queer when asked? -Ford's non-existent personality -Tristan multiple personalities - Tristan and Ford falling in love with each other after maybe interacting 10 times - Ford being a Dom Daddy out of the blue and saying the must cringy phrases in existence like "good hole" just EW - The whole random mafia subplot being fixed without telling us or showing us how
There are a thousand more things I hated about this book, it for sure reads as if it was not edited properly and as if the characters were not defined before the book was written, but mainly I hate this book exists and that I spent so much time reading it....more
I would have given it 5 starts just for the angst and heartbreak alone.
Matt is truly an amazing character and just great guy all around. As for Evan, I would have given it 5 starts just for the angst and heartbreak alone.
Matt is truly an amazing character and just great guy all around. As for Evan, listen I get it, I understand he’s had a terrible year and all but bitch why did you had to go and treat my poor Matt boy so dirty?
I also would have like to see their friendship develop a bit more, like we are told they’ve hang out for months now but we don’t really see it and then the next thing we know Matt is already in love with Evan, don’t get me wrong I still like it but small things would have made it a fave of mine.
Another thing that bothered me was that I was never sure through the whole book when is this supposed to happen? Like people have cellphones but don’t mention texting until the very end, everyone uses their house phones a lot and the radio! So like is this early 2000s? I don’t know why but the fact I didn’t know didn’t allow me to fully enjoy it.
In all honesty, I don’t think I’ll read the rest of the series, I might just read spoilers and see what happens....more

I must admit this book was better than the first, which I hated, and the only reason I read this one was because I already had it and I thought why not?
This story was very generic and some of the dialogue was a bit cringy but still enjoyable, some parts seemed to be a set up to have more development but then nothing happened with it?
Like the whole exchange with (view spoiler)[ Gray asking who Alex was and then being all mysterious, like what was that? (hide spoiler)]
I also disagree that Kai was Alex's enemy since that seemed pretty one-sided and lasted only like 25% of the book and then they both pretty much fell in love super quickly with each other....more

This book was incredibly bad, there were so many things I hated that I don't even know how to put them in words.
For starters, like WTF Nikolai named his dick! and not only that, he had conversations with it! Also, why oh why do we need to read so many times how he had his first erection at 5? Like WHY?
Also, it felt pretty out of touch, like why does one MC being cute and lovely with the other mean they were treating him like a Girl? like, can't guys be affectionate to each other? and like why being treated like a Girl was said with negative connotations, what's wrong with being a girl?
Why was it so important for the evil twin that Brandon was the top? that seems pretty ignorant from where I'm standing.
Anyway, a complete waste of my time and I'm angry with my past self for convincing me to read this. ...more

For starters, Ty is one of the worst MCs that I've ever read, and since this book is a single POV we are stuck in his head while he has some of the worst inner monologues ever written.
This fucker is supposed to be an amazing generational type of talent and yet the dude suffers devastating depression and never appears to sleep and yet he can perform in the NBA? I don't know Ric I think is fake. The guy even drinks sleeping pills and sleeps for like a day and constantly thinks about killing himself and yet when the uncle or Sid asks him to get help and go to therapy he dares to say he is ok and does not have depression.
There are so many boring and stupid things in this book like the fact we get extreme and constant descriptions about everything any random character who happens to pass Ty's field of vision is wearing or their back story even if it's not in any way relevant to the plot, we get all the rules and regulations about basketball that no one and I repeat NO ONE who read sports romance wants to know.
Sid, on the other side, is the most bland and boring Love interest ever, so I guess in a sense he is perfect for Ty. Like Sid is supposed to be this super cool dude and yet we are told constantly how much his body is his temple and everything he consumes is as boring and flavorless as him with a nice side of "let's meditate" all the fucking time. Like the dude is supposed to be a millionaire and yet he couldn't buy a personality?
And to top it all off, in every paragraph we are subjected to random slang that it’s just thrown out there for I don't know, to make the book more hip? Nobody who is a human talks like that, it is so weird and cringe. Like that episode of Friends where Joey wants to look young and instead looks ridiculous, exactly like that, more so when both characters try to act enlightened all the time.
“We fall apart when we reach the impossibly tender place that on your lovemaking can traverse”. Who the fuck talks like that????...more
I liked it enough and I think it was a nice surprise to read about so much positive masculinity if that isI don’t really know how to review this book.
I liked it enough and I think it was a nice surprise to read about so much positive masculinity if that is even a thing?
I would have definitely liked that there was more motocross involved but I’ll get what I can.
I think the first half of the book was better and like I totally get that Silas has a bunch of mental health issues but I didn’t particularly like the 3rd act break up, it didn’t make much sense.
Is this book perfect? No, it’s not and I don’t think I will read the next one but I still enjoyed it.
I have to update this because I recently decided I will Indeed read the sequel if only to hate on Tristan’s shitty attitude ...more

Like tbh, the only reason I didn’t DNF it’s because I’m very committed to the Sadenverse, but I could have gone my whole life without reading this book easily.
I don’t understand what the plot was, it started promising I mean a groom left at the altar and going with a groomsman to the honeymoon? That’s hot! But then it felt that it was just drama for the sake of drama and a 3rd act breakup that made absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Maybe it’s me, but couldn’t they just go to therapy and do their healing etc while still together? Maybe yes? Maybe no? Who knows? The point is that the breakup made no sense and it was weird....more
Jake smiles slightly. "I don't think we're good at being nothing to each other, do you?"
This was for sure my favourite of the series, I thought I Jake smiles slightly. "I don't think we're good at being nothing to each other, do you?"
This was for sure my favourite of the series, I thought I loved Charlie and Reid, but oh boy! Jake and Alex stole my heart, theirs was the perfect friends to almost lovers to enemies to lovers story.
It was heartbreaking to think that they lost 10 years of being together because of their stubbornness, but the way they eventually reunite proves that they were soulmates, always meant to be, and I'm sure Mike and Ben would agree with that.
Beautiful Jake with his anxiety and depression and missed opportunities always feeling wrong and out of place, was finally so happy he was back and then Alex was also there, Alex who was so unsure of his feelings and angry and sad.
It was the ideal ending for this series those last chapters made my heart so happy, to see them all have a HEA was perfection.
