Oh my God! This book killed me with how unbelievable good it was. Beautifully told story of love and loss as borne by Jude and Romeo, both of whom I absolutely loved. It kicks off with Jude coming home, which isn’t always an easy thing specially when you have unfinished business like the heart he left behind when he left.
Jesse Reign brings her signature swoony, emotional and immersive writing that draws you in and then just doesn’t let you go, grappling with all the scorching hot chemistry and heightened feelings that exist between the characters. It’s like the story is telling you how soulmates can grow at a different pace, crap can come to highjack even the deepest of connections but still, triumphantly love will win and arnt we all happy that it will. I love a hard fought HEA while at the same time I wish these two didn’t have to fight for one at all, that they were protected at all costs and life was just butterflies and rainbows. I also love how it highlights, through a single first person narrative that reality as we know it is just perspective sometimes.

It’s not just the intensely romantic French phrases that make you go head over heels for these characters it’s everything playing out and the way it culminates. This hockey romance shows the big heart and sheer brutality of the game as the story smoothly paces forward through the season and the tightly knit, found family of the Ètoiles brotherhood is magnificent. At the center of the story are Bryce and Hunter, Bryce who was and always is a hero to Hunter, Hunter who cannot believe he now gets to play on the same team as his hero. Their romance is built slowly but surely, constantly gaining strength and momentum. While that wind up to the end made my heart stop, then shatter, then made me cry literal tears , specially with the team and what they said, there is no drama whatsoever in this book, everything is perfection! The author gives us a wonderful journey to follow along to the characters HEA with loads memorable moments, like I was cackling and laughing at the whole Un-Bean-liveable scene and then legit getting teary over what happens next .. this book is a roller coaster of emotions and I absolutely loved it.
This is such a sweet friends to lovers story with tons of humour and heat threaded through. Jesse and Murphy are just so fundamentally adorable in their cluelessness regarding their feeling and a whole host of things change when Murph comes out as gay to Jesse including them seeing things that have been there all along just waiting to be discovered. I low key loved how prickly and a tiny bit petulant and gruff Murphy is and what a sweet, loving, goofball Jesse is.
I just love Dianna Roman’s writing style that just gently pulls you into the life of her characters and doesn’t let go. It’s perfectly paced as they transition to more than best friends and it’s beautifully written, I had trouble putting it down, I have to go back and immediately read the first book in the series.
If you want something light but not fluffy, angsty but in the most charming of ways and a relationship finding its footing, spicy with all the feels and a banger of an HEA I definitely recommend checking this out

I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Ashley James and so I had high expectations and she totally hit this one out of the park. I absolutely loved Cope, so firmly comfortable in his skin, so swoony and so easy going about his sexual awakening when he meets Xander. I loved Xander’s character too, all about family and so independent and clear about what he wants from life and love.
These two were a slow burn to an inferno with a sprinkling of first times and sexy mentorship moments. I love how much found family is a recurring theme in this series and I absolutely loved seeing every but especially Shooter and Sterling again.

I have been eagerly awaiting Wick and Mason’s story and I was thrilled to read it, it was amazing!
I love Mason, sweet kind protective and a bit heartbreaking with so much bottled up inside and Wick serious, sincere and contained, he’s been pining a bit and gets his man. I wasn’t expecting it but these two were steamy together, the spice was really spicing with all sorts of firsts and awakenings and role reversals. I really enjoyed how this story didn’t follow the phases of a typical romance book and went full steam ahead to tackle even what happens when you get together and then get to deal with each other challenges and learning to support each other through some tough times.
I love that Leigh’s characters feel real, flawed, come with triggers and baggage and a past they are still grappling with and yet manage to work to navigate the challenges that come in the way of their HEA. I absolutely love how their HEA itself isn’t static but a wholly perfect thing for them. I also always appreciate the affirming themes of found family and mental health and well being. Highly recommend checking this gem of a book out.

I love reading them and Derek and Wyn’s was no exception. They are both substantive characters that just pull you into their inner lives and the plot and I couldn’t put the book down.
The boss employee trope (specially with the angle in this book) can sometimes feel uncomfortable for me but the author did an amazing job with these strong characters and the situations they find themselves in … I was completely immersed in the story, didn’t feel any imbalance and I was racing ahead to figure what happens next. I absolutely loved Bridget’s character and loved that we got to see characters from other books.
This story was an absolute blast to read with the perfect amount of angst, loads of superlative steamy scenes and emotions building up until the MCs have to resolve to a happily ever after.. I love the way the tension is just drawn out whether it’s the animosity building between them at the beginning or the tautening sexual tension and feelings which lead to explosive situations and fantastic banter.

I am going to do my level best to avoid any and all spoilers because this story needs to be experienced the way the author has written it. I went in blind and I cannot recommend this one enough, it’s an absolutely delightful, emotional, read with spots of sparkling banter shared between the protagonists. Eti truly blew me away and I loved how Nico loved her.
At its core it’s an absolutely stunning story of finding your person, your person to love, your person to lean on, your person to crack you open and help you fly. Absolutely loved Nico and Eti’s story, told mostly from Nico’s pov, the emotional depth across this courageous story just wrung me out. While this book may fall on the lower end of the angst scale it’s still full of emotion and has a thread of humour running through it that made it such an easy and fantastic read. Jay Leigh is a fantastic storyteller, beautifully pacing the multiple POVs that form a story full of political suspense, mystery and intrigue, friendships and love.
While at the heart of this story is Luke and Taz’s undeniable connection slowly transforming into a beautiful love story, we see the couples from previous books story continuing to evolve as well as stronger bonds of friendship developing within this found family. We also see the progression of the plot centering around the mystery behind the emerging threats to national security and yet, to me, this felt the most deeply emotional story of the series.
Taz and Luke’s journey to an HEA is not an easy one . I loved both characters, Taz’s story is absolutely heartbreaking and made me tear up as he covers his soft core with grit, resilience and a whole lot of snark. Luke is also dealing with being fresh out of the military and faced with a sexual awakening as he can’t help but orbit Taz but how he steps up for him was absolutely amazing. Them giving into the attraction towards each other as well as the daddy dynamic was explosive and hot. Things around them are also heating up as they are pulled into the overarching plot of riddled with danger & political intrigue reaching crisis points.
If you’re looking for an action packed, romantic suspense plot with a tightly knit found family and some emotionally charged moments on the way to two wonderful characters finding love, all of it wound together in a story you can’t put down, I highly recommend checking this out.

It took me a minute to warm up to Shooter but I was totally hooked soon enough. Such a cocky exterior but covering up a mountain of hurt, at the top of his game with a thread of dominance running through but so prickly and so relatable in his journey of self discovery and healing past hurts and trauma. I loved Sterling from the get go, straight forward, sweet, socially a little uncomfortable and determined to make a name for himself. Also super determined to stay away from Shooter. The snarky back and forth, the resistance and the giving in, the absolutely dreamy surreal quality of the storytelling, the humour and the scorching hot chemistry between these two made for a fantastic read.
Jesse Reign gives us two amazing characters, revealing their backstory slowly, and seeing them grow through the book was absolutely amazing. Ryan suffers from anxiety, is buckling under financial responsibility, grouchy, with a chip the size of Everest on his shoulders which makes him loathe Miller instantly. He’s also got good reason for that chip as we come to understand. Miller is sweet and perceptive under his popular, privileged, devil may care attitude and he wants Ryan desperately - willing to propose striking a bargain to pay him for sexual favours - and this sets up an unconventional dynamic between the two with loads of push and pull and longing and possessiveness coming out to play along with scorching hot encounters. Ofcourse all these beautiful heightened emotions come into play too and the way it builds towards the end was just sublime, I loved the climax and the epilogue. It also left me curious and wanting more and I’m excited to see where the series goes.

Josiah and Segan’s story is not at all an easy one. The book spans years and so many phases of the characters lives, encompassing facets of growing up, sparking attraction, inherited burdens, devastating separations, painful losses, finding their feet, healing…. laying bare their struggles on deeply impacting experiences that are quite heavy. To me it felt like the author bravely pushes the limits and unspoken boundaries usually seen in a romance (even an angsty one) to tease out the nuances in the occurrence and the reconciliation of these subjects.
This book was heartbreaking in so many parts but I absolutely loved the way the journeys come full circle with themes of acceptance, support, repair, self love, deserved happiness, communication, love. The pacing is so spot on and tightly controlled.
Trying to keep this as spoiler free as possible but this book deals with heavy and possibly triggering subjects so I recommend checking out the trigger warnings
Quotes:
“I feel like Josiah and I were a tragic example of ‘right person, wrong time”
“Josiah DeMille was my teenage crush and my queer awakening, all wrapped up in one tight, sexy, coverall wearing package. And now, almost a decade later, he’s still where all my dirty thoughts go when I’m alone and need a release.”

I am still reeling and was completely hooked to the way the author lays out the love story of these beautifully imperfect men spanning years.
Things I loved:
* Leelee bear and Franky are the definition of a simmering slow burn with this chemistry thrumming under the surface which when they do come together is explosive, raw and so primal.. some of the hottest scenes I’ve read.
* The way Franklin and Leland instinctively connect & see so much of each other
* The deeply meaningful conversations parsing out all the hugely difficult, messy emotions and grey choices and their impact this story touches on.
* The writing is tactile and viscerally impactful and stunning, threaded through with almost this edge .. like a ticking clock to build and release that rich tension though out the phases of the book.
* The pining in the story is gut wrenchingly sublime
* The subliminal “made for you” theme that runs across the telling of the tale
* The sensitivity with which the themes of loss of loved ones, loss of self and lost love are handled
* The healing and repairs on their journey to a hard won HEA
* Cole and Leland’s friendship
* Jasper’s moment with Franklin towards the end
This book was so heartbreaking in parts and I loved these characters: Leland, bereft and barely anchored, protecting his vulnerabilities, such an insulated and isolated place to be. And Franklin buckling under the weight of being ideal, the guilt of never meeting that standard and a bit lost to himself. I’m awed with how the author builds this intimacy with the characters and their discovery of self and their evolution allowing us to be completely immersed in the story. I rarely cry when reading but I did and their story is still on my mind.
Expect: * Age gap * Forbidden themes * Possesive MC * Cheating * Found family * CNC * Bi-awakening * Hurt comfort

I’ve been waiting for the rest of bandmates to get their HEA since White Noise and Lark Taylor hits it out of the park with Kai and Silas’s story!
Expect: - Rockstar romance - Best friends to lovers - Childhood friendships - Found family - Slow burn - Gorgeous lyrics - Pining - Fake dating - Protective & Possessive MC - Sexual awakening
The story starts perfectly with glimpses into the unshakeable childhood bond built on the back of shared burdens and protective love. Now, all grown up and part of Caffine Daydreams, Kai who’s been an inherent caregiver since he was a child, is still in love with his oblivious, straight identifying, best friend Silas and things have reached the breaking point with everything that’s festering & unsaid.
The heightened emotional language that Lark uses to pull us into this story is beautiful, taking us along, parsing out all the feelings through all the challenges that come even after Silas’s awakening, to their hard won HEA. I literally wanted to rush through the book to see what happens and slow it down so I wouldn’t run through it too soon
I absolutely love how the author navigates us through this story, balancing all the messy, intense feelings and reactions and doubts that are bound to come with such a tightly enmeshed friendship, specially when protective instincts are playing a part on both ends. Because of everything at stake, Kai makes a couple of choices that were less than ideal but the author paints a rich picture of what’s driving him, it’s humanising and understandable, Silas not letting him get away with it and the reconnection after was just perfect. Sometimes getting what you want can be as scary as not getting it.
I loved how these two finally give in to their attraction, specially Silas with his big beautiful heart, all in from the get go and ready to experience anything and everything. I loved seeing the rest of the band - I can’t believe Lark left us with a Jack shaped clue to the next story.. like I literally can’t wait. I’m also very curious about what’s going on with Dylan and Rhys. I absolutely adored Kai’s family and my heart bled for what Silas went through with his.
