I have been following and studying human trafficking a lot over the years, and there is a disproportionately high rate of it in my vicinity. I have always been on the lookout for signs of this and have reported a couple that seemed like they didn't add up in a big way. This book will make you see even more signs around you.
This book was a good comprehension of many issues, but it was not well-edited, which took my rating down. A bit of editing could have improved the flow and avoided repetition in facts.
Either way, this is a hard book to read if you can emotionally connect with any victim, especially the way the author tells their stories in a significant way. This is a highly under-reported and under-convicted crime that plagues our world, and it is always getting brushed under the rug.

As a new author, I looked a bit into her background and constantly wondered how much of Gifty's life growing up in Alabama from Ghana was echoed in Yaa's reality.
It wasn't an upbeat book, but it was a book that felt real. That took on mental health, specifically depression and addiction, head-on. One of those books makes me want to reach through the book and hug someone.
I loved the mouse experimentation concerning human brains and reactions. While reading, I found myself relating the lack of human contact and words of love and the depression felt by all characters involved.
Overall, this was poignant (I know it's overused, but here it actually applies) looking into the culture and mental health. Yaa Gyasi is an author I will definitely be visiting again.

Weirdly I actually preferred the life excerpts more than most of the drink ideas. Lots of cute, humorous and honest stories about motherhood from the POV of the author. Definitely worth checking out.

It also assumes that the reader is not very computer savvy. Using some of this information in a Dummies Guide to SEO would be fine.
Unfortunately, for anyone with even a tiny amount of knowledge, it was a lot of wading through constant definitions and trying to find even a kernel of helpful knowledge for using SEO better.

I am such a clutter bug, and I attach memories to items, which leads to constantly owning too much stuff all of the time.
It is great to see the tips and examples of releasing items and showing the natural beauty. Granted, it's more about having quality pieces in our home as opposed to quality.
I would love to have been able to see the process of how she would adapt someone like me into a more minimalized decorating scheme and how you would better find the items at different price points.
Overall, it was enjoyable to go through this one. 4 Stars....more

The bAziz's humor can be hit or miss, but he was mostly a hit in this biographical search for what modern romance entails in our technological world.
The book was laid out with research, anecdotes, and dorky jokes while also being well formatted.
I enjoyed Aziz reading it himself and sharing some of his chaotic thoughts that so many of us have had in the modern search for love. It was great to learn about some trend comparisons of romantic matching practices from several decades ago to current times.
Overall it was both fun and informative. Some of my favorite passages/quotes:
"A fucking day goes by. A FULL DAY! Now my thoughts get crazier. What has happened!?! I know she held my words in her hand!! Did Tanya's phone fall into a river/trash compactor/volcano?"
"..You have enough data to know that statistically, the smartest thing for you to do when you walk into a bar is go to the bathroom, jerk off, and leave."
Overall a solid 4 star experience and a lighter read....more

The greatest part of this cookbook for me was the chicken recipe diagram. It was great to just open up and have chicken to cook and then pick a delicious and easy recipe without having to flip through the rest of the book and having an easy quick reference guide.
I highly recommend this cookbook, even if you aren't doing Keto.

This is still a fun read when you want to check out something light. There is more romance than humor, but the humor is still there.
The narration on the audio version was again superbly done—Bravo to the number of characters and accents well performed. I only noticed one instance of an accidental Australian accent for Lucie. This helped make the book more entertaining.
Favorite quotes: "What is wrong with me? I'm going to Hell for thinking of Jesus's nipples in a monastery!"
"She had stood in front of George looking like she'd just farted and peed her pants."
Overall, I enjoyed this one and definitely will continue to check out whatever Kwan releases next because I have fun with them, even if they aren't ever earth-shattering. Solid 3.5 stars for me....more

He is always worried about whether or not something is in line with my keto, and we are looking for many ways to make things work. What I love about keto is that life is both nutritious and delicious. My son loved being able to pick out anything and make it together.
We loved the cheese biscuits, the hamburger soup, the baked chicken nuggets, and many other great recipes in this book. There are lots of great and easy recipes to cook with your kids, and they are all healthy options.

I am coming to copy as a beginner and didn't really understand what the difference was between it and content writing before reading this book. This had a lot of great tips and was formatted well for easy reading from beginning to end, but also for reference reading and topic choosing.
Only 4 Stars, as it does kind of have the feel of someone taking a bunch of prior posts and putting it together into a book....more

Sometimes I absolutely love them, and sometimes they were just good for a read one time. This was more of a one-time read for me, but I still enjoyed the journey.
There was less humor than in some of her other books and an even more serious tone than normal, but still many great quotes and one-liners. As with any of Terry's novels, realistic issues are dealt with, including mental and physical ailments and the death of loved ones.
I loved that Terry McMillan narrated the audio herself, as this was the first of her novels I have listened to, so I'm not sure if this is normal for her. This one moved slower than previous novels, so I have to leave it at 3-3.5 stars. Still definitely worth checking out, though....more

I don't need to travel worldwide to find the ingredients; the layout is intuitive.
There is an excellent ketosis explanation and introduction that doesn't bore you to tears but also helps you relate to how your body and food interact if you are new to keto like me.
This cookbook GETS IT! Seriously, it's in my top 10 cookbooks of all time. I had checked it out from the library about ten times before buying it for myself, and I have already recommended it to more than twenty other people. I cannot recommend this one enough.

However, I am not sure if the author of the cookbook lives in a big food-varied city like New York or what, but it affected the ingredients list.
Very few recipes can be created without access to varied, specific, worldwide ingredients that are not usually available to the average citizen.

This has been a great book I was given this book to read for class, but I honestly didn't understand the definition of copywriting before reading it.
This has been a great book to help me define the term and determine how to best accomplish copywriting in my future freelance career. So many details go into copywriting; this is an excellent guide to breaking those down to make the most of your time and words.
Each chapter is well-encompassed and laid out, so you can read them individually and find what information you need quickly and easily.

Sarah Pinborough always has a hidden element to her psychological mystery weaving, and I love her for it. This was well-written and well-thought-out. I enjoyed the ride of these elites and second wives. I liked the full-rounded narration and had many suspicions.
Overall, Pinborough always has a twist that I can't quite guess, and yet it flows so naturally with the story. She is great at this, and it was a breath of fresh air to read a psych thriller that didn't feel forced.

To start, I think the 30-minute time frame is a bit ambitious. It does not include the required prep time for many of the recipes. Again, this is another cookbook calling for ingredients that are not readily available to the average human.
The highlight was the dessert section, which also provided many keto-friendly choices. The other significant point was the beautiful photographs of the featured recipes.
