I really had a good time with Seducing Lauren. It wasn't as good as the first book, the pacing in the book was on and off. The first half started off really really strong and I didn't want to put it down. But in the second half, it was much more challenging to stay into the story and be truly invested. I did love the idea of a lawyer hero with a romance author for a heroine who is also at risk of being in danger from her ex. I found the dynamic between them interesting, loved their soft filled relationship. I do find Proby's writing style in how the pair doesn't fight too long what they feel, but seem to embrace their connection. I did find the plot aspect of the ex and how its portrayed throughout the story. I loved the endearing connection that they had together. Really beautifully done despite the issues on the pacing of the story growth. ...more

Cry Wolf is the first book in the Alpha & Omega series. My Review (May contain spoilers, fair warning upon reading this review, please be responsible)
Cry Wolf is the first book in the Alpha & Omega series. I am reading both of this authors series in order from her website. After reading the prequel novella of Charles and Anna, I just had to jump into this one next and I am so happy that I did because these two just delivered all the PNR feels that I was looking for and more. Even though it is UF, it still has strong PNR feels to it because the world building of the UF isn't as focused as we are delving into a remote wolf pack in Montana. Anna and Charles are really getting to know each other in this book. They are coming to accept their bond and discovering what that means for both of them. What impressed me the most was the heroine in this book. This author keeps blowing me away with NORMAL heroines. Like what is this magic? haha I am sorry but most UF I have read, the heroines are so crazy and out of this world kick ass that I can't relate to them on any level. But Anna....she is honestly just a normal heroine. Literally your next door neighbor type of heroine and I am having a blast with it. Charles and Anna make such a balanced couple. He isn't too alpha for Anna, especially when she has softer elements to her character with her being a omega. I am also loving the Native American aspect to him and the connection that we see between him and the alpha of the pack was quite superb. The plot of the story definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. The villain is so EVIL, but how the author develops the third act was PHNEOMENAL. Honestly I didn't know what I was expecting, but this author threw me in for a whirlwind of a story.
Overall if you are looking for a more softer UF with more romance focus in it, then I can't recommend this series enough, truly loving the beginning of Charles and Anna's story. ...more

I am seeing why its popular, as the writing is very quick and easy to read and I loved the way that this author really developed the story. I was intrigued by the level of interaction by the romance. I will be honest, that I struggled with the writing style. It was very almost demeaning of certain groups and races of people and I didn't care for that at all. I did enjoy it being an interracial romance though, as the heroine is half native American in her heritage but the heroine was a hard pill to swallow. She is a very prickly heroine and very hardened and I just couldn't find much about her character to relate to in any way. I adored the hero, he is such a man of honor and you see how tormented he is. Seeing his journey made this book worth it and is what kept me really interested. This type of paranormal world building was so fascinating. I am sure that I will continue with the series. ...more

True Love Cowboy is the most recent release and the moment that it became available I just knew that I had to pick it up and when I saw that it was on AnyPlay I just knew that it was one that I need to grab up and I haven't ever listened to this author in audio format, most of the time I get her ARC's but I decided to wait on this one here. And I was immediately pulled into the story after the first chapter. I will say that the first meeting between our two main protagonists isn't the most thrilling of meet-cutes, but it's a sweet scene and really sets the stage for their relationship. I am always impressed with this author and this story definitely pulled the type of emotion that always stuns me every time I pick her up.
True Love Cowboy is a story that features :
Jon Crawford-Entrepreneur, a single father, returning home to help his father and stabilize his family.
Trinity McGrath-Chef and a local business owner, dealing with PTSD, youngest sister of protective family
In this beloved story, we have two kind-hearted good people that have a solid attraction to each other, from their first meeting there is an attraction. Our heroine, Trinity, has been helping Jon's father get food but when she comes to deliver his meal, he is passed out on the floor and struggling to breathe and then Jon arrives on the scene, and then they take him to the hospital together. While Jon's father is in recovery, Trinity and Jon have a spark of attraction and find each other intriguing. Despite the fact that Jon has his ex and his daughter arriving soon, and Trinity suffering from panic attacks and flashbacks of her traumatic past, they are drawn to each other like bees to honey and forge ahead in a relationship. But Jon is driven and willing to do what it takes to care for his family even if his ex is toxic and manipulative, but feels he has no other option when she has primary custody over their daughter. But as tensions rise with him and his ex, the romance between this sweet good woman is worth fighting for, but he never imagined that the love of his life would be put in danger so close to home and will he be able to save those he loves or lose it all?
True Love Cowboy was a brilliant read and despite its imperfections, I truly had so many delights in reading this one. I am always so stunned at how this author truly writes her books. I fell so quickly for this couple, and honestly, this was a book I literally relaxed on the couch with just so I could listen to it more. Not all of Jennifer Ryan's books have stunned me but this one truly did. I never expected to experience the surge of emotion that this book evoked in me but only a few authors can have me sobbing through this and it certainly did. I had so many shock moments and I think if I had been listening to this in public, I think I would have been sent to the mental institution that is right down the road haha Its a story that just broke my heart but unfortunately I can see these type of cases being pretty common in many factors. I did like seeing the focus of how hard it can be for fathers that are unable to get primary custody of the children especially when the other party is manipulative in most situations and has money and power behind her and also how society and the law even tends to cater more towards mothers than fathers in many cases. Just seeing this man's heartache over his daughter was so heartwrenching. BUT I will say he did drive me nuts sometimes. In the beginning of the story he acts so blind to many of her actions thinking she will be better but when you see that she does the same habits previously, you would think he would have come to the truth of it. And it took real neglect and abuse of his daughter for him to actually act. I understand he was in a bad spot with little power here, but I feel like he could have done more. I do respect that the author took us there though and really showed the human side of these issues in such a relatable human way.
I truly adored this book though and it was such an honest good romance that I wanted to cheer to. Jon and Trinity have such a beautiful relationship and I loved seeing it blossom and so many positive elements enter their relationship. I love seeing how they lift and encourage each other, always fight for each other, and never lose faith in one another. It's an element that tends to go missing from romance at times, and I truly respect that this author went there for this pairing. Then we another element that added such sweetness and charm to the story....Jon's little girl "Emma" She was so darling and added the perfect cherry on the top for this book. You just want to cherish this little child and I couldn't get enough of seeing her in this book. I just love seeing children portrayed in romance when it's in this manner, and Jennifer Ryan really handled it so well.
Overall I found True Love Cowboy to be a stunning delight that delivered in the solid plot, touch your heart characters, and tear-jerking moments that will overcome its readers in the most real and vivid ways.
The Coppersmith Farmhouse is the first book in her Jamison Valley series. Now first offThis review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance[image]
The Coppersmith Farmhouse is the first book in her Jamison Valley series. Now first off, after listening to this book, and YES it was a audio and its also in the Audible Romance Package. But I want to thank Geybie @ Geybie's Book Blog for bring these books to my attention a couple of years ago. I have been meaning to get to this author and I was in the mood for a small town romance and this book was truly amazing. One of the best small town romances that I have read in quite a long while. The narrators for this book, are one of my favorite pairings to listen to...the only thing I would change is more male POV because we just didn't get to hear him enough and man I love this male narrator's voice.
The Coppersmith Farmhouse is a story that begins with our heroine who is a single mother to a little girl "Roe" who have just moved from the city to a small town in Montana. Gigi is a nurse and met a older gentleman who she helped out and before long they became close. She helped him when he needed help and was all alone being a widow. Gigi and her daughter Roe became attached to Ben very quickly. And when he passed away, it broke their hearts and still grieving they receive notice in his will that they inherited his estate including a country farmhouse in Prescott, Montana. Gigi needs a fresh start for herself and her young daughter and so they make a move. She gets a job at the local care center and she has some not so fun run ins with the local Sheriff who seems to hate her for some reason but she has no understanding of why. But when Jess realized that the farmhouse he has worked on for most of his life isn't being taking over by a greedy and scheming woman, he begins to open his heart towards her. They find a common bond in the man that changed all of their lives. Jess didn't have the best home life, and has learned to take care of everyone around him because that was what he did when he was a boy and he has to learn to give Gigi the chance to take care of herself even though he isn't used to doing that....letting go of caring for others. Gigi has to learn to accept help when she needs it and that Jess needs that at times. They find a balance between their warring personalities.
“Don’t want people around town thinking we’re just friends or we’re just fooling around. We’re gonna see where this goes.” “We’ve had one kind-of-date, Jess. And I wouldn’t call us friends.” “Because we’re not just friends.” “I’m not dating you. I don’t even like you. Find someone else to keep you company at the café.” “You like me. Can see it in your eyes when you look at me.” “Physically, yes. But personally, you’re a jackass.” He yanked the truck to the side of the road. “What are you--” I started but Jess reached across the cab, grabbed me at the back of the neck and slammed his mouth down on mine.
First off, I found the writing to be superb and so well paced. I had a blast getting to know these characters and seeing them find that balance in their relationship because they are very different from each other so it takes some hard work and communcation and compromise to make it work. There is a growing concern in the town of a drug problem and Gigi isn't sure she is strong enough to handle the violence that her man will need to deal with and if she can give him what he needs to be his support. But I loved the way that we see this happen. This book gets so emotional though especially one scene where all three really come together on a emotional level. (view spoiler)[This is where Roe is upset because her mother gave her skirt to a thrift store when she grew out of it but it was a skirt that "ben" gave to her and she misses him and hates that he is gone. Gigi and Roe end up crying on the floor, grieving the man that showed them love. And Jess finds them and he holds them both while they grieve a man they all loved deeply. This is where we see what grief can do in small and big ways. (hide spoiler)]
I simply loved the way that the romance developed, it had such a realistic feel to their relationship. Which most small town romances feel that way to me, but this one especially struck a chord to all my emotions. I wanted so much for Jess, Gigi and Roe. They haven't had it easy up until this point when they all meeet, but we see how much they understand one another. I loved the cute interactions between Jess and Roe. And we see the depth of intimacy between Jess and Gigi and seeing them find love in such a deep abiding manner. Its a romance that I became quickly hooked on. I loved the way that we see this happen and the development of the story. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the drug business in a small town, I am not sure how realistic that really is. But then I haven't lived in a small town in years so maybe its more common than I think. But its fiction so it was a interesting twist to the story.
Never in my life had I felt such an intense attraction to a man. His hotness did things to me. It made my brain misfire and my body want things it hadn’t craved in years. And I needed my brain fully engaged when he was around. I didn’t like him, but more importantly, I didn’t trust him. I couldn’t be stupid enough to fall for his perfectly handsome face and amazingly sculpted body
Overall I found Coppersmith Farmhouse to be a fun filled small town romance that will give you all the feels and that love comes when you least expect it.

I am not sure why I stopped reading this series but I did decide that when it comes to this author, audiobooks are the best way to go. I knew that this book would be heartfelt and very emotional. I mean just looking at the cover, you know that this pair won't have an easy road and I did enjoy seeing this author develop this story with a mix of some fun tropes. What we have with Tragic is a set of tropes includingL Fling, Accidental Pregnancy, Grumpy Sunshine, Next Door Neighbor, and Enemies to Lovers. So I really had a fun time in seeing this author develop this story and the way that these characters come together. These two really have some fun angst, and most of it comes down to our hero who is reclusive and grumpy. He hides his pain by being a grump and broody and it's delightful seeing our heroine stand up to him and the sexual tension between them is superb. I really liked the way that this author wrote their tension while also building on the emotional tension that builds between them. (view spoiler)[I loved how she implemented the pregnancy as it blew me away. Those who have read the book know what I mean by that but I never expected this trope to happen and I loved that. (hide spoiler)] I also really liked seeing a family heal of their past hurts and I need the brothers story which is book two in her Gypsy Tin series so very excited to grab that one up there. ...more

In Wildest Dreams, Originally Published 1994, we have a story that through Sourcebook Casablanca comes back alive with a republishing. We are taken to an era that was full of discovery, danger, and finding one's full potential through the test of trials, grief, suffering but also love, devotion and passion for life. The story takes us back to the era of the civil war and after the war and reconstruction. This period of America's history was full of strife and Rosanne Bittner makes these challenges come alive within these 600 pages. I know that amount of numbere of pages sounds daunting, however I savored each moment of this story.
We are taken back to a story that begins with our two main characters....Lettie Mcbride and Luke Fontaine. Lettie along with her parents and siblings are traveling west on a wagon train in search of a new hope. Lettie has suffered from the raids on their home, when in an effort to protect and save her horse, she herself was attacked and raped. She had a son from that horrific night, Nathan. When Lettie meets Luke, Nathan is only a few years old. Luke Fontaine, has recently learned that he is a bastard, and his father favors his brother over Luke. So Luke leaves the only home he has ever known, and is driven to succeed. When he meets Lettie, and they start spending time together while traveling west, they fall in love. Lettie's family heads to Colorado but when she agrees to marry Luke, she knows that life is going to be full of troubles and trials. Luke and Lettie head to the Montana Territory. A territory that has plenty of land, but is rugged, dangerous and untamed. Luke wants to make an empire and even though Luke and Lettie start in a shack, they make a home together. The first few years wear on Lettie and Luke with battles with indians, rustlers and more. They make friends of neighbors, but one fateful night will test them. They lose their son Nathan to indians, not knowing if he is alive or dead. Luke and Lettie only become stronger, they build up their ranch and the land, they begin building a family with three sons and two daughters. Even though they build up a wondrous dream, they also have their griefs and losses and battles.
What is most wonderful about Rosanne Bittner, is how she handles these love family saga's. I have never read a author that handles them so well. There were many moments in this story where I want to break down in tears. The emotion that Bittner conveys in this story is truly heart wrenching at times. It really brings home, what trials these men and women----true pioneers suffered. Luke and Lottie are one of my favorite couples to read, because the one thing that keeps them strong and vibrant is the love they have for each other. We see them grow from newlyweds in their twenties to their forties, with grown children having families of their own. This is not your average romance that we see, and quite frankly sage romances are so rare that its also so delightful to immerse myself into one and boy this one had everything I needed to be a full satisfying romance that I couldn't get enough of.
There are some trajedies but there are also many great triumphs for Luke and Lettie. We see the joy they find in each other and in each of their children. It was so charming to see the growth of their relationship over the years. And they really get challenged at a certain point that almost tears them apart. But what was most endearing about this pair, was their strength and devotion to each other. Both Luke and Lettie have such courage and stay together no matter what comes their way. The literally learn to fight for one another both physically and emotionally. They learn how important it is to rely on each other; especially in the most challenging times of their marriage because that is when they need each other most. We see the trials their children have to go through, and boy my heart ached for all of them. And those that have read this story already, know which ones I am talking about. But we also see how they overcome the trials they each have been dealt and overcome them to claim a life of love and fulfillment just like their own parents.
Wildest Hearts is a love story that will endear you forever to Luke and Lettie, will take you back through the time of the reconstruction era of America's history, introduce you to the beauty of the Montana land and this poignant love story to remember forever!!! SIMPLY MAJESTIC!!
Just as a seed can sprout new life after being tossed aside, forgotten and left to die; So can love buried by pride and guilt come to bloom again...Stronger, Healthier and even more beautiful.

I have had this book sitting on my kindle collecting dust (if that is even possible) since I have had it since it was first published in 2015 and I am finally picking it up. I don't know why I waited so long for this one, because once I picked it up I just didn't want to put it down. Of course, Johanna Lindsey has the beautiful way of writing a romance you can easily get into and fall in love with. Wildfire In His Arms was a book that I wasn't expecting to be as good as it was. After reading the first book, One Heart To Win I felt like this book had quite a bit to live up to and it was pretty great. Maybe not as great as book one, but I still have so much love for this one. I swear that westerns are Lindsey's talent. Of course she can do just about any setting, but there is something unique about her when she writes in this setting.
Now this tale begins when our hero, Degan is leaving Colorado. Even though he is going to miss the friends he has made here, he also feels the need to move on. So he ends up in montana, after agreeing to do a favor for a friend. His job is to bring three outlaws to justice. Degan is one of the most well known gun slingers in the country. But there is one outlaw, who needs to be returned to Texas, for murder. But the boy he needs to bring in, he learns is no male at all...but a woman. But she claims that she is innocent, but Degan is reserved to believe anything she says, especially when she runs away every chance she can get. Maxine, grew up in a small town, but when the mayor attempted to rape her, he ended up shot and she left and has never returned. But she knows he was alive and well when she left, but apparently she is wanted for his murder. Now she must find a way to escape or convince Degan that she is innocent.
Degan and Maxine go through some adventures together, and some turmoils as well. At the beginning of the story, there is a LOT of mistrust for sure. I mean they are on opposite sides here, practical enemies. But as they travel together, Degan starts to trust in Maxine and doesn't believe her capable of murder. And Maxine finds herself drawn to this dark and mysterious stranger. I think what impressed me most was seeing the slow building romance here. The ways they build trust in each other, the ways they go out to protect each other and they make a great team together in the end. And seeing the past become resolved for both Maxine and Degan was simply wonderful. It was great the way this story played out from beginning to end. There was such a flawless way in the development of the plot and the building of the romance. The "smexiness" of the story is lighter though. Which is strange coming from this author. She has always been known for her steamy scenes, but this book they seemed tamer than normal. Which was fine with me to be honest, the building up of the relationship was the focus point here. And seeing Degan and Maxine build a home together with their friends and family was everything I could have asked for in a ending. A story to delight, stimulate, encourage and make you fall in love all over again!!
