It was perfect ....no....but it was addictive and felt close to Joanna Wylde in the setup of the story. I really liked this type of theme in romance (have no clue what that says about me....probably all those johanna lindsey I read as a teen lol) I was intrigued about this one because I love a softer FMC and mixed with a badass tough alpha male was just what I was looking for and I was so consumed by this story. This is definitely for readers that need a palette cleanser and just something that will easily sweep you away and this author definitely does that here. There is also plenty of hot smexy times, and super gritty MC culture and I actually didn't mind that. I have really missed some dark gritty MC, many coming out recently are so tame in comparison. I really was curious to see where the author would take this one but what a CLIFFHANGER! Yes it has one, but the second one is all ready to go.
The romance was addictive and I became so hooked on their story and what was happening with the plot. The author definitely keeps you questioning until the end. Definitely a keeper here. ...more
I really had a fun time with this one. I don't think K.Webster can write a bad book haha this one was quite different from anything I Novella Review:
I really had a fun time with this one. I don't think K.Webster can write a bad book haha this one was quite different from anything I have read from her until now. And I liked that it was short sexy and sweet. It had a very balanced dynamic and literally had me going from laughing to crying all in one page. It had a cool setup. I just love auction themes, not sure why, but they draw me in like candy. I loved the second chance, the emotional trauma and pain that they need to work through and the smexy moments that just fit this pair's dynamic. I really love that Webster writes such a variety and you never know what you can expect until you read it. And I can't wait to read more of these short ones. ...more

I found this one so intriguing and it was more of a random pick up read for me. I was just browsing KU and found this delightful read. I was intrigued by the setup so I knew that I wanted try it out. I will say that this book was pretty likeable and if you have read this author before, then you will know her writing style. This author has a writing style that is pretty easy to get into (Similar to Anna Zaires, Meghan March), but this book starts out so SLOW. It takes a while almost 25% before our couple even meets each other. Once they do meet each other, it was a fun wild ride. I really had a blast. It has some great alpha vibes and I liked the whole stripper/actor pairing. It really worked really well. I did find the pacing of the story a bit off, but the audio narration was pretty decent as well. The ending of the story was my favorite part of the story. It literally left me in swoony tears, so heartfelt. One of my favorite proposals ever done.
Overall it was a endearing read that was a great distraction from reality. ...more

This was a interesting story, it wasn't quite what I expected it to be and I will be honest in that I was a bit disappointed in this story. My Review:
This was a interesting story, it wasn't quite what I expected it to be and I will be honest in that I was a bit disappointed in this story. I know many seemed to really love this one, but I wasn't a fan of the story. The heroine really turned me off and I really had to force myself to read this book at times, because of her character. She is very highly immature and a bit of a spoiled brat at times. I wasn't a fan in how she reacted to certain situations And while I enjoyed the hero at times, he just enables her bad behavior most of the time. The fairytale retelling was really endearing though and fairly close to the tale and I did appreciate that. I just wish that the character development had been better for this one here. ...more
If I Were You is the first book in the "Inside Out" series and this is a series I have been wanting to read since these books first caQuickie Review:
If I Were You is the first book in the "Inside Out" series and this is a series I have been wanting to read since these books first came out with Fifty Shades. I always loved these OG covers, they had such a sexy vibe to them. And I have to say I really had a blast with this book. It definitely had some dynamics to the story that the author really made work. I can see why these were so popular. This has a setup so fascinating. Our heroine. is a high school teacher, but for a summer job, she gets her dream job working at a art gallery. Her boss is a controlling alpha male, but he is not the one who really intrigues her....its Chris Merritt whom she has an intense connection with. There is a sizzling chemistry between the two, but Chris has a dark history and is full of secrets. As they begin to explore their connection.....secrets become revealed that could alter everything between them.
I really enjoyed seeing what happened between these two. I really adored Chris, he had such an aura of mystery surrounding his character and I was beyond intrigued by him. But you can also tell that he is hiding many secrets and pain from his past. Chris and Sara's boss, Mark, definitely have a history together and this story only makes that history fascinating to become revealed. Then we have the connection to Rebecca and her journals. Not sure I will read those novellas unless Rebecca has a good ending.
Overall I found If I Were You to be a fascinating read and I am intrigued to see where this series will be headed. ...more

Dangerous Temptation and Beautiful Nightmare is a duet that I have been wanting to come out since it first released. I had seen quite a few mixed reviews for it though, which is why it took so long in digging into this one here. I also was able to listen to this one here.
Dangerous Temptation is the first book and this is where we get the introduction into our couple and seeing the beginning of what draws them together. There is quite a bit of angst that delves into their relationship. They both hate each other lol At first its the hero that is being a jerk to the heroine, so that builds on the tension between them. The heroine is strong in her own way, but she responds to the tension that the hero displays.
I will be honest that there are issues with this book that might not work for everyone. The heroine is 17 (so a bit underage) but the hero is in his late twenties, so the age gap isn't too horrible as its within the ten years about. I did have issues with the tension that is between the hero and heroine. It really doesn't even get fun until the very end of the book with the cliffhanger haha And it also seemed to me it was all about sex, there didn't seem to be any evolvement in their relationship that wasn't about that. And I definitely need more from my books than that.
Overall while it had a great promising start in aspects of the reading and the narration really pulling me into the story, and the mystery between the rivaling families, the romance so far is a bit meh. ...more

This book was such a hard one to read because Amy Harmon really put me in my paces. I can't believe what I was put through within this story but man I just didn't want to put it down either. If you love audiobooks and have Hoopla, I highly recommend this one in Audio because it was superb in this format.
Out of all the Amy Harmon books that I have had the opportunity to read so far, this was most definitely the most emotional and heart wrenching books that I have read from her. She blended in aspects that I was NOT expecting her to write at all. She literally broke my heart with this one and especially that ending, WOW. I also appreciated that the focus of the book was more on the man's journey than the heroine's. That is NOT common in romance at all and SNAPS to Amy Harmon for having the courage to do it and have it resonate with so many romance readers. I absolutely adored everything about this book. It had so many layers that I just want to dig into. Also if you are spiritual in any way, you will really appreciate what Amy Harmon constantly delivers in her works.
The Law of Moses is a story about a young black man who really goes through the wringer, trying to find himself and his journey and his purpose and about a young woman who loves him deeply and fiercely but Moses has to come into what love means on his own and so with that comes pain and heartbreak at times. But we also see the intensity of a parent's love in this one. I wasn't expecting how this book turned into at all but what we see our couple go through together with their son literally breaks the heart. I really appreciated the LDS connections to this book in matters of death and eternity type of aspects that just felt so raw and real.
Overall I had a blast of a time reading The Law of Moses and I can't wait to read the companion novel "Song of David". If you are looking for a emotionally captivating read, you can never go wrong with Amy Harmon. ...more
Gerald Lund is PURE MAGIC in this series and it was such a delight to be able to do a reread of this marvelous book and then watch the filmMy Review:
Gerald Lund is PURE MAGIC in this series and it was such a delight to be able to do a reread of this marvelous book and then watch the film adaptation ---which is brilliant and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Pillar of Light is a story that focuses on the beginnings of when the Steed family meets Joseph Smith Jr and also when we see the early beginnings of the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If you want to know the history of this faith, I highly recommend this series and you will get some beautiful family connections and a wonderful romances that build along the way that involve the Steed family.
I absolutely adored the love triangle in this one and seeing the true romance between Nathan and Lydia form. Out of all the couples we see in this series, they are definitely a favorite! They have such a pure love. And Gerald Lund captures it so beautifully!...more

Falcon is a great work and I am so happy that I decided to pick up this seriesMy Review (May contain spoilers, fair warning upon reading this review)
Falcon is a great work and I am so happy that I decided to pick up this series because I have been wanting to work through some of her backlist. I have to say I did NOT expect to see what I saw in this one here. I LOVED the way that this book was written. It was borderline rom-com in my opinion. Even though it could technically be considered a borderline dark romance, it had such a comedy feel to the story and had me laughing all over the place. The setup of the story is a bit instant love and forced proximity, there is a bit of bully romance to this but its very low key. So if you want to test the waters for a bully romance or something a bit softer in that regard, you definitely should try this one out.
We see a hero who has high expectations but has a mother who removes any affection and love out of the home and only cares about her socialite status. He has only known coldness until he meets Layla who is the daughter of his father's secretary. She sees the man and not the money or prestige or his social status and he finds that so refreshing. Their romance starts steady as there is a strong attraction between them from the beginning. But Falcon is her protector when the bullies start to circle her. There is a charm that enters their relationship. Falcon and Layla get along just right and I enjoyed the dynamics that enter into the romance. They might seem like opposites in many ways, but they also click in the right ways that truly matter. I truly fell hard for this story because it had such a great mix of elements that work well for me. Now the writing is a bit slow in the first half, but it quickly gains speed and I definitely found it to be hard to put down once I really got into the story.
The romance was pretty low angst for the most part and I found that really refreshing. The complexity of Falcon's family was really fun to see get worked through. The only negative aspects to the story is that there were a couple of plot holes and there is a serial plot cliffhanger (no worries the couple ends up together) but I definitely need to read book 2 so I can find out what happens. ...more
