Kayte Ryder’s beautifully vivid storytelling swept me away to the Cornish coast. Cassondra is tired of her controlling relationship and finding out her partner is cheating on her is the final straw. she applies for a job as a dog walker/horse wrangler/nanny/house manager for a family in Cornwall and is delighted to get the job. The work is hard but rewarding, different than her pampered past. as Cassondra becomes more and more comfortable with the change of lifestyle she ventures out. when she crosses paths with Luke she is intrigued. She loves his passion for the land and loves learning about the area’s beauty and history.
There was something so elegant about this book. I know that might sound a little strange, but I just found it classy, not even sure how to explain that. In all honesty the Romance part of the Story might have been my least favorite bit. I really liked both Cass and Luke and I definitely wanted them to end up together. But I wish Luke had not been married, that bothered me a little. what really drew me to this story was its sense of place. I seriously felt like I was in Cornwall. I also really appreciated the supernatural elements of the story, I thought that added the perfect touch. A lovely Romance with a lot of heart and a wisp of a ghost.

Loved being back in Cornwall in this lovely town with these charming characters. This is the third book in the series, but it can absolutely be read as a standalone. This book introduces us to quite a few new characters, including Gwen and Ella who are new to town. they are living in a seaside cottage, where the rent has been cut with the stipulation that they are going to remodel the place. One of the first people Gwen meets when arriving in town is Ollie. their meeting is fraught with tension, embarrassment, and chemistry. but both Ollie and Gwen are going through things so they deny the chemistry for most of the book. Gwen finds herself a job at the Little Cornish Kitchen, where she whips up all kinds of yummy food and treats. this book reminded me that I haven’t had a piece of fudge in ages. Also, I just want to know if I move to small town Cornwall is everyone going to welcome me like Gwen and Ella were welcome to this town? Gwen really found her place and her footing, in this quaint town, not to mention love. Just a delightful heartwarming story filled with food, friends, family, decorating, and an adorable dove.

Sian O’Gorman’s descriptive writing swept me away to small town Ireland. Roisin is struggling with her self-confidence. Trapped in a deadend marriage and not quite sure what she wants to do with the rest of her life. I think most of us can relate to Roisin in one way or another. Roisin was very likable I was definitely rooting for her the entire time. Even though Roisin is married to a no good cad, she is surrounded by great friends and family. The secondary characters in the story added so much charm and whimsy. I also loved the supper club, made me hungry! This was a lovely summer read with the added bonus of a second chance romance!

I also loved her friends and of course the Christmas production. The Romance was a definite “will they wont they“. Another fabulous book from one of my favorite authors!

Five sisters utterly devoted to one another and yet each so unique. It has been so fun watching these sisters grow up while navigating their newfound wealth. This book is about Nick The clever sensible sister. In a prior book Nick found out that there were shenanigans going on at her company and this has led her to reassess things in life. In this book Nick decides to head to Ireland to discover her fathers Irish roots. Nick not only discovers some family history but she also finds herself entangled in a romance. Loved this book! It was nice seeing Nick let loose a little bit and how could she not with such a great guy like Gabe around? Also appreciated the tidbits we got of the other sisters throughout the story. Josie is still dealing with grief and guilt from the loss of her beloved grandmother in the previous book. The Grief and guilt are compounded by the fact that her first case back involves a murder. Two years ago there was a Dudley school bus crash that Killed six students and sent the bus driver to jail. Now it appears as though somebody is targeting the parents of these children. Why is somebody bringing even more grief into these family’s lives, what could the possible motivation be? Once again Josie and team are on the case. Josie was definitely struggling and it was nice to see everyone around her prop her up especially Noah.As in all Josie Quinn books I loved donning my detective hat and trying to puzzle the mystery together. This series is 12 books strong and keeps bedding better, can’t wait to see what’s next!

After she The perfect start to another delightful series from Nicola May! Kara is a florist who has returned home to her small town after university. After she’s been done dirty by her partner she resorts to renting out a room in her apartment as an Airbnb. This seems to create a stir in this small town. Kara is at the end of her rope until she receives a mysterious letter that ultimately sends her on a dream trip around the world. Kara was a sympathetic and likable character who I loved getting to know throughout this book. I really loved the small-town vibe of Fairy Lane, not going to lie I was a little sad at first when Kara started on her travels. However I soon got caught up in the fun and mystery of the trip. The thought and planning that went into this trip was pretty amazing. I also thought it was extremely brave of Kara to embark on this trip not having any idea where she was going, where she was staying, what she was doing. I am not certain I would be as trusting as she was? There was so much packed in this lovely gem of a book that made me want to pack my bags and take a trip around the globe. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

I always love books about bookstores, book clubs, and books in general. But usually they highlight books I have never read… you know the classics. This book was a bit of a love letter to the romcom, those lighthearted stories that make you swoon and put a big smile on your face. Lottie decides after getting kicked out of her highbrow book club to start a book club of her own. She thinks the local book shop would be the perfect location for her club to meet, but is hesitant to approach the uptight owner, Mathew. Lottie and Matt are complete opposites, but there is a definite attraction between the two. *swoon* I really loved both of these characters and enjoyed reading about their slow burn romance. The book club members were all fantastic and a special shout out goes to Audrey she was a hoot. This was definitely a book club I would love to join! A sweet romance… the ultimate Beach Red for the booklover!

This book was truly the perfect escape! What more could a book loving, beach loving girl want then a barefoot book shop in the middle of a tropical paradise? I am seriously ready to pack my bags and head to the Maldives! Freya is in need of a change of scenery after going through some dark moments in her life. When she sees an ad for the opportunity to run a barefoot book shop in paradise she is excited, but a little apprehensive. Her energetic personality and experience as an editor makes her the perfect candidate and she is selected from over 20,000 other applicants for the job. When she gets to the Maldives she is instantly in love with the Islands beauty, and charmed buy a couple gorgeous men. When reading the blurb to this book I was hesitant because I’m not always a huge fan of a love triangle. However, this was a love triangle done well. Freya was a very likable sympathetic character. I completely related to her love for Books and this gorgeous setting. I also felt for her and what she’s been through. I was very happy with the direction the book took and pleased with her choice for love. This is the perfect summer read, a little vacay in a book.

This is my first book by Carmel Harrington but I can guarantee not my last! 2020 Bea is staying home on New Year’s Eve after a bad break up when she receives a time capsule letter from her younger self. This letter seems to have some kind of magical powers and leads to Bea doing some major self reflection. Reaching out to people in her past, righting some wrongs, and ultimately heading to Ireland for some much needed answers. 1992 Lucy and her sister Maeve have just graduated from University when they hear of an opportunity of a lottery to go to America. The sisters cannot believe their luck when they find that they have won the lottery. SO they pack their bags head to New York, leaving all they know and their loving parents behind. Love both these characters and was equally invested in both of the storylines. What I most loved is that both Bea and Lucy had amazing supportive friends. I also really love the magical mystery element of the letter and what a catalyst it was for Bea. This story took some unexpected twists and turns, I loved it from beginning to end. A stunning story that hit me in the heart and gave me all the feels!

Mell finds her self on a plane heading to Vermont from the UK to fulfill her best friend Megan’s final wishes. Megan used to spend her summers at the small town of Tansy Falls in Vermont. Not only is Nell there to spread her friends ashes but she has a two week itinerary written by Megan that she has been “ordered“ to abide by. The itinerary leads Nell to meet many lovely colorful characters and takes her out of her comfort zone. This was such a wonderful story about Nell and her really learning to trust herself again. She was such a fabulous character just so authentic and kind. I really loved how well her friend Megan knew her and understood what she needed and what she would gain from her time in this special town. There is a tiny sprinkling of romance in the story but it really is more a tale of self discovery. A charming story that made me happy!
I’m kidding, but seriously that’s all you really need to know. Portia MacIntosh writes such whimsical Romcom perfection! That’s it, that’s the review!
I’m kidding, but seriously that’s all you really need to know. Portia MacIntosh writes such whimsical stories filled with such fabulous characters and this might be her best yet! Peach is heading to her baby sister‘s destination wedding when she learns that the best man is someone she knows intimately. Not only that it appears as though she has accidentally invited her sister’s ex-boyfriend to the wedding. And that’s just the Half of it. Additionally little sister Di is marrying a man she’s only known for a week named Charles, nonetheless. At least the wedding is taking place in Italy at a gorgeous villa. But as the guests start arriving the entanglements get Wilder. This was just SO much fun! Peach was such a great character I adored her and I loved her job. Seriously the girl was a secret shopper and got to go visit fancy hotels and eat at five star restaurants for work. The setting of the story was Beautiful! All the characters were so dynamic and well-developed, I’d love to get to know most of them. The story had so many laugh out loud moments, i’m still laughing thinking about it. A perfect beach read that I cannot recommend highly enough!...more

While it can be read as a standalone I am certain you will want to read them all! Hedgehog Farm is filled to capacity with both people and hedgehogs. The latest arrival is Chloe, Samantha‘s selfish witch of a cousin. Don’t want to give up anything from the previous books, but what Chloe did to Samantha was terrible. I’m still impressed that Samantha was able to forgive her. Anyways Chloe has recently left her husband for a reason she has not divulged to anyone. Josh‘s dad and stepmom and their two kids are in residence as well. Josh‘s dad is still looking for a bone marrow donor. The hedgehog sanctuary is running at capacity and Samantha is hosting school trips and volunteers. She also is still very affected from things that happened in the past books. Thank goodness she has such a strong character and such a great support in boyfriend/fiancé Josh.
The story bounces back-and-forth between the perspective of Samantha and Chloe. We really get to dig into Chloe‘s past and get to know her better as a character. I’m still not completely sure I like Chloe but I do understand her a lot better. Samantha is just such a warm caring person it’s hard not to be a little protective of her. We also get lots of fun informative times with the hedgehogs who are now being named after famous authors. Would’ve liked a little more time with Fizz, maybe next book? Although I’m thinking next book is going to be about a younger character? This was just such a fun feel good heartwarming story that made me smile and want a pet hedgehog.

I said this about the last book I read from her and I’ll say it again, this is the best book I’ve read from Victoria yet! Stephanie is a single mom to three young kids just coming to terms with her year long divorce. After a major breakdown at the grocery store she befriends her neighbor Janey. Out of this friendship a book club is born. Shortly after Amanda and Emily join and the group is dubbed the Single Moms’‘ Book Club. Not only has Stephanie made new friends, but she has also started a new job as a bookkeeper at the local Vet’s office. There appears to be an instant connection between Stephanie and Edward the Vet even though he prefers tweed. But it’s complicated! Stephanie isn’t ready to introduce a new man into her kids lives and it appears as though Edward is taken.
Loved everything about the story! The book club moms were great. I loved their friendships and the way they supported one another. I was even OK with the fact that they didn’t always read the book. The romance was a slow burn, sweet and somewhat awkward. Stephanie was extremely relatable, as a mom and a single mom at that I found her character extremely authentic. Edward was a great love interest a little goofy, but so caring and kind. This was just such a wonderful heartwarming story that made me feel all warm and gooey inside.
