The angst between these two hotheads is so delicious, even their love is not something normal, it always ends up with black-eye for one and a broken nose for another. They have an amazing chemistry, thanks to the tension between them. They both are hot even when they are punching each other. First, the love between Ana & Julius is out of the blue, it’s like Ana is in love with him from the first time she meets him. And that leads to my other problem, Ana didn’t act like someone who was abused for years, someone who was broken. I wish (view spoiler)[Gio’s death was a torturous one. Getting shot was an easy way to die for him (hide spoiler)]. And why we didn’t have an epilogue with Ana’s POV! Also I wish to see more of Julius & Ana’s relationship after all the trouble they went through. Wanted to see his groveling for her forgiveness, for pushing her away. I’m glad that Santiago didn’t get soft but at the same time, I hated it. That’s what they call a hate/love relationship, right!? He made me mad, it was like with Santiago the authors were testing my limits. He was cruel, a real monster. A monster who I couldn’t not to love. I don’t know what to think of Ivy. Could he finally break her? I really don’t know. The only negative point that I can say was the miscommunication between the MCs. But here I didn’t mind. It made the story more enjoyable for me. All in all loved it and hope you enjoy it as well!

This is my first read by this author and I don’t know what to say really. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it but… let me say it this way, Caged is a story of an abused guy (Anderson) who needs a therapist (Kloe). She tries her best to help him and then 4 years later she’s the one who’s in need of a therapist and apparently Anderson is the one who can/wants to help her in the strangest way. Then you find that nope it’s not that easy, (view spoiler)[everything is only for revenge but revenge for what!? Then towards the end when Kloe put two and two together (hide spoiler)], I was so confused. I’m on the dark side here and don’t know the way out.

I have a big problem with this book and it's that Jason turns 180 all of a sudden, from hating Kale to caring for him and even loving him. I understand his reason but it was so sudden and their love was out of the blue. Another thing is in this world that Caethes Faron created, wives accepting their husbands having their slaves in their bed is a bit unnerving. I see it as cheating but apparently, the wives wouldn't see it like that. Despite the issues, I will read book two. I needed to see them a few years later; to know how are they. And I wish the author writes something about Seth. This was my first read by this author and wow, it was really, really good! I was hooked from the beginning. At first, it was supposed to be a remarkable love story but with each step, the story took another route. This story started off as an innocent love, then said love becoming guarded, suspicious, and at some point so bitter. A series of manipulations, a poison that slowly consuming the MCs. At first, I couldn’t see the controlling tendencies, the manipulations, and humiliations but then when the fog got away, it became so clear to me. At those moments I was like Hiroku, I couldn’t see more than the façade. I didn’t blame Hiroku for his choices, he just wanted a place to belong, right?! And as for Seth, I don’t know what to say or think. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to justify him but he needed help! I wish I know what’s gonna happen to him. I’d like to see his road to recovery as well! This story is well-written, alternating between Then and Now, angsty and more importantly feels real. All in all, I enjoyed it and hope you like it as well!...more
