The characters are always likable. The storyline pulls me in. Then there's the friendships that are established, and getting to watch them grow (and evolve) is something I just love.
Speaking of those friendships, they hit me in the emotions this time around. I definitely teared up toward the end, and look forward to future books to see what happens next. ...more

The Best Man was seriously such a fantastic read. I do wish the book had been just a smidgen longer, and that we could have witnessed a few more things happening. (relationship growth, Julie back in Maryland picking up her belongings, etc) But it is what it is, and even without that extra that I craved, I loved this story.

So when I had the opportunity to read Hockey Boy, I knew that I would more than likely enjoy it. Obviously I was correct.
The characters were so good and relatable (well aside from their wealth). The storyline kept me interested, and I was not wanting to put the book down. The romance was great. The friend group was one of my favorite things. The banter was glorious.
Could not get enough of Hockey Boy, and look forward to continuing on with the series....more

This has happened in EVERY book of theirs that I've read. EVERY SINGLE BOOK.
I fully admit that I went into The Heartbreaker a bit nervous, but also tried to be open minded. Teacher/Student relationships are not my preferred trope by any means. That being said, Sara Cate did what she usually does, and once again I was pulled into the story, and I fell for the characters.
The storyline was good. The characters and their backstories tugged at the heartstrings a bit. The steam was what you'd expect from SC. I found myself not wanting the story to end. I truly want to spend more time with the Goode Brothers and their significant others....more

Reath and Frankie may seem like an unlikely coupling, but they work so well. I loved their meet cute, and everything that transpired afterward. Add in the mixed feelings about Frankie's brother, and how he would react, and it was just so good.
The suspense storyline was decent. I was intrigued, and I found myself wondering how it would conclude. A part of me wish it had been a bit more suspenseful, but Anna knows what she's doing.
The Fury brothers have stolen a piece of my heart, and I cannot wait to see what happens in Beau's book. I do have to wonder if Frankie's brother will get a story as well. Perhaps a spinoff series? A reader can hope.

Nevada had me a bit apprehensive. He's such a confident smooth talker who gets whatever/whoever he wantI cannot get enough of the NOLA Rebels series.
Nevada had me a bit apprehensive. He's such a confident smooth talker who gets whatever/whoever he wants. I wasn't certain that his story would be appealing. Mackenzy pretty much said "just wait". The woman that Mackenzy brought to life is the PERFECT match for Nevada.
Estelle (Star) has no problems putting Nevada in his place, and takes joy in knocking him down a few pegs. It was honestly fun to watch.
That wasn't the only thing I enjoyed about this book though. It was the overall storyline with finding Estelle's sister. Everything that went into that story had me on the edge of my seat. From Estelle's meeting with the MC, to how she wasn't going to wait for anyone to move forward with the plan, to her bestie side kick, to the meeting of two other MCs (foreshadowing perhaps?), to the happily ever after that occurred. Honestly I couldn't get enough.
Estelle fought this relationship the best she could, but Nevada just has that way about him, and his perseverance won out. Which Estelle obviously enjoyed.
The banter between our two main characters was so good. The steam was what I've come to expect from Mackenzy's stories. The suspense was my favorite. Cannot wait to continue with the NOLA Rebels, and will be bummed when the series comes to an end. ...more

So when she announced the Lane's were getting a series, I was ALL IN.
Bennett and Ella are wonderful. The kids are fantastic. Henry is an absolute gem of a man. The suspense? Everything I've come to expect from Jocelyne's books, and worked wonderfully with the story. Dante making an appearance had me smiling, as did the mention of other previous characters.
This book was one that I did not want to come to an end. The marriage of convenience storyline, while not one of my favorite tropes, was the best fit for this story. Especially with that twist that was announced when it was time to cast the initial vote.
Bennett Lane really won me over though. This man was caring, giving, compassionate, and really wore his heart on his sleeve. Granted he kept that sleeve hidden from view most of the time, but it was there. Ella became his to protect. His to care for. She became his world, and he would do ANYTHING to keep her safe. Bennett was this way with his niece and nephews though too. They were what mattered to him. Yes that role in the Lane Corporation would be nice to have, but this family, that was what was important.
I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series. Yes I know each book will focus on one character, but I'm hoping our "villain" runs throughout. Also I'm hoping that we find out where that one person is, and what they've been up to....more

The Art of Breathing is simply amazing. This friends to lovers romance will take you on quite the emotional journey. The characters are delightful. Their connection is hard to beat. They truly do have a deep rooted friendship base, and are finally acting on mutual feelings.
I had to take a few breaks while reading just due to the emotional impact. Yes I am an emotional person, but I'm also a mother, and so witnessing this (albeit fictional) person go through what they are, it was just a lot.
The ending was not what I was expecting, and I appreciate that.

You really should not be surprised when I say that I LOVED this book. I've loved the entire series thus far, and I knew Austin's story would not disappoint. Chloe is an intelligent woman who has always known what she wants in life. It's just that her ex has messed with her brain, and now she has doubts. What she does know is that she loves her job as a crossword puzzle writer. She gets to use her brain, and can work from anywhere. I absolutely love that Gina Azzi keeps writing in these strong, intelligent female characters, and that they keep their smarts about them throughout their relationship. I really enjoyed the friends to lovers storyline, and liked all the history that these two share. Add in the fact that their families are friends, just makes it all the better. I liked how Austin stepped in and said he would be Chloe's plus one to the engagement party, and how it stunned all of the attendees. That was awesome. I was so glad when Austin finally opened up to Chloe about what haunts him, and how that event has shaped his life. The dramatic moment felt appropriate, and I like how it dragged out a little bit. It has Austin a bit stirred up, and it was nice to see him fretting about. All in all, I loved the story. I loved the setup for the next book, and I have to say I was caught off guard when it was said that James was getting his story next rather than Panda (Luca). I don't know what I'll do when the Boston Hawks series is over. I can only hope that Gina Azzi has a spin-off in the works.
You already know I'm going to say that I highly recommend The Rule Maker, and all of the Boston Hawks books, so don't even pretend you're surprised by that. If you are a fan of hockey romance, then grab the series. If you're a fan of friends to lovers, grab The Rule Maker. Just trust me, it's worth it.

Okay really any book that Rue releases I am guaranteed to fall hard for. No First Kisses was no exception. The only difference is that Logan and Poppy are my favorite couple. Hands down.
Now, if you've read other books in the Birch Harbor: Coming Home series, then you've witnessed Logan and Poppy's story building. Chances are you've been curious about their relationship, and how twisted it can be. Well the wait is over, it's time for their story to be shared with the world. It is emotional, suspenseful, steamy, and has humorous moments as well. There is friendship, and a family like atmosphere between the group. Logan and Poppy have so much history together, and we see how everything transpired and got us to where things are today. Logan and Poppy's story is one of my favorites of the entire series.
Should you choose to read this book, know that Logan is struggling with events from the past. What keeps him going though is his love for Poppy, as well as the need to keep her safe. Their intense connection, the push/pull cycle that they keep themselves in is what makes their story so compelling. The suspense portion of their book will have you waiting for the other shoe to drop. Everything they go through though leads them to their happily ever after. ...more

Loved the brother's teammate trope, as well as the emotional toll this book put me through. Ella's heartache came through the pages perfectly. Rigg's relationship with his father was also emotional and a bit of a tug on the heartstrings. The relationship between Riggs and Ella though was everything. They both saw each other. They knew when the other was struggling or holding back. They were patient with each other, and stood together in the good and the bad.
Other things to note: Todd-o-rama had me a bit nervous, but I found myself liking him at the end. The friendships in this book are top notch. Elise creates amazing characters and brings their stories to life in a spectacular fashion.

They definitely stood out above the rest, and that curiosity continued to build until it was finally time for their story to be told.
AND WHAT A STORY IT IS!
These two have been in each other's lives for a long time. They were sweethearts who were torn apart due to club rivalries, and questionable actions of individuals. Them being separated was really for their best interest. Yet Silas continued to show that he would go to any length to protect Natty. He would be in her life, even if he couldn't be with her. Yet no one, except for Silas's mom, knew the full extent of their relationship.
The romance in this book is so good. The timeline storytelling made this so much more impactful. Getting to see what happened in their past, that lead us to today, and how they were overcoming all of that so that they could get their happily ever after once and for all.
This book has its steamy moments. It has its emotional moments. It has the action and suspense. It has the characters you'll love to hate. It has everything that you need to be an incredible story, and that's what it is.
Silas and Natty were the perfect conclusion to the Stone Riders series. Do I wish there was more? Always. Yet how everything wrapped up with Where We Ended was perfection. That happily ever after was a hard fight, but oh so worth it in the end....more

I remember reading this under the previous title, and let me tell you it is still as wonderful as it was before. Even with the new portions added in. Chloe and Ian's story is one that I could not put down. There is so much heartache coursing through their bodies. It's only natural that Chloe is pulling away from everyone. Her brother though knows his sister well, and has created an environment that he know will be beneficial for her. What he couldn't have planned though was the woman in the lake, and everything that would transpire from that situation.
