This is a wonderful story of a young woman who is the Princess of a motorcycle club and a cop & their age gap romance. Similar to the second book, the two characters have known each other for many years and “grew up” together. The story goes back and forth to showcase this and sometimes this can be done in a way that’s boring or not needed but I loved any tidbit I could get with Lion and Rosie.
This story opens up with a bang, Rosie has killed her boyfriend, and with blood still on her hands she reaches out to the only man who has always gotten her out of every bad situation. He is a good man with a dark side and I really enjoyed seeing these two sides of Lion come together.
If you’re looking for a book with some steam… this has it! I absolutely loved the chemistry between the main characters.
This is a dark book with dark subject matters that come with the 1%ers MC’s. So be aware. But if you’re looking for a wonderful age gap MC romance to pick up!! It’s right here!! ...more

But let me tell you I think I’ve found one of my new favorite books of all time! I even annotated it… which is something I haven’t done in so so long!
Ox is a loner whose father told him he’d amount to nothing and be given crap for the rest of his life. One day he comes across a young boy on his way home who immediately takes him to his family where he basically becomes one of them.
Joe is a character that changes the most in the entire book. From 10 years old to 20, you see him become a man and the person Ox is made for. Joe honestly reminded me of Honey and Ox of Mori from Ouran Highschool Host Club.
This story was so heartwarming of finding family and learning to deal with their pasts and really took it’s time to develop the characters and make you really care about them.
This book had me going through so many emotions; I laughed, I cried, I was scared, & I was in love. It honestly was exactly my style of writing that I love and once I understood the timeline it took me no time at all to get through it.
I don’t think I’ve quite gotten over this book & I’m still processing it. But I love the world, it’s dark and dangerous but full of love and family. I’m so excited to continue reading the other books as soon as I can order them! ...more

This story is about Charlie who was adopted by River & Everett in The Truth About Heartbreak. She was adopted at the end of the story at the age of 13 when she first met River’s brother Oliver, who is also Everett’s best friend. Their sexual relationship starts when she is 16 & he is 31. *trigger warnings for rape, child abuse, drug use, overdose, depression*
I admired Charlie and her witty personality even if it was a coping mechanism for what happened to her in her early childhood. Charlie loves music and finds it to be an outlet for her feelings. She knows that the town she lives in now isn’t where she wants to be and pushes to move to Chicago. A place where she can attend music school and of course where Oliver lives.
I absolutely understand if the age gap could be to large. Being 16 is a bit young but I thought that it was handle well with the repercussions that happened. Her relationship with Oliver was built upon trust and being able to open up to each other.
This book was easy to get into and I found myself reading it in about a day so that I could find out if they get their happy ending or not. ...more

Layla has a history of stalking and ends up in a small-town college because her mom doesn’t want her anywhere near her upscale NY lifestyle because of who she fell into an all-consuming love with. She has a problem with controlling her impulses and I found it extremely interesting to be in her mind and find out why she did what she did.
Thomas is forbidden, her professor… her married professor. He was once an award-winning poet who wrote such beautiful and thought-provoking pieces that he has so many students trying to gain his attention. But somehow Thomas isn’t fulfilled with his life, he is lonely, and Layla obsessively wants to find out why.
This was such an interesting book it had me hooked from the very beginning. I know that this relationship is problematic & the characters know that too. But I think this was the best ending that could have happened, and I absolutely loved Layla and her character arc.

The main character, Bella, becomes a cop after the horrendous deaths of her parents. There is one man she trusts & that’s Xander, the man who saved her, and then there is Alex, her boss. Both are desperate to keep her safe despite all the things that Bella does that goes against anything they say.
I enjoyed the suspense & mystery aspect of this book as well as the steamy scenes. But Bella’s character honestly was one I couldn’t get with. She even admitted to being a b**ch & just honestly became the worse when she kept saying No when even in her mind she didn’t’ believe it.
I plan on continuing with the series, hopefully her character gets some development and grows up....more

I think a lot had to do with the amount of hype I heard about it.
I believe this to be a wonderful and sold forbidden romance. A teacher & his student.
A girl from the wrong side of the tracks who has lived a difficult life making her more mature than the 17/18 yr old students Pierce usually teaches. Remington is a girl who finds out she will be attending a new, expensive, private school on the right side of town. She has it difficult at home with an absentee father always on the road for his job & a stepbrother that seems to be going off the rails and taking things further than a brother should.
School is where Remington can find a place to escape, a way to escape the world she was born into. And that's where she meets the steamy debate teacher & lets just say they are like magnets.
I found the book to be incredibly insta-lovey. It's like one encounter & bam they are ready to defy all the rules. I wish there had been more getting to know each other instead of just wam-bam they are obsessed. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed the push and pull of the forbidden romance. They know they shouldn't act on it... but of course they do. There were plenty of steamy scenes and I loved it.
If you like a good forbidden/taboo/age-gap romance this is really a wonderful book to satisfy those cravings! ...more
