A perfect conclusion to this series that was full of heart and messy family hijinks. I really enjoyed the audiobook narration by Austenne Grey and Arielle DeLisle. Perfect for fans of authors like Ashley Herring Blake and Adriana Bellefleur. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!...more

Bisexual actor Tom's life flashed before his eyes when he gets caught in the hurricane and he vows to try to repair his relationship with Rose - the one big regret of his life was letting her go. Rose meanwhile is stuck trying to repair her family's inn in the aftermath of the storm and Tom volunteers to help her with the renovations.
Throw in some of Tom's castmates, Rosie's elderly ill aunt and Tom's ex boyfriend, mega movie star, Boyd Kellagher and things definitely get out of hand. But everyone bands together to help the couple and they do eventually find their way back to one another.
While I liked the narration by Savannah Peachwood, I wasn't a huge fan of the two main characters as a couple and struggled to buy into their second chance romance. Just an okay read for me and not one I would go out of my way to recommend. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy and @prhaudio for a complimentary ALC in exchange for my honest review!

I found the book started off strong with an abusive father and an alcoholic mother and the two sisters struggling to survive in their troubled home.
Then the book skips forward and one sister is missing while the other keeps searching for her, chasing down rumors that she might have been spotted around the world. Told in alternating POVs from the sisters' perspectives and some of their friends. I liked the focus on queer identity, motherhood and sisterly bonds but the story wasn't as cohesive and tightly paced as I had wanted.
Okay on audio narrated by a full cast. Recommended for fans of authors like Ruth Ware or Shari Lapena. Many thanks to @prhaudio for a complimentary ALC in exchange for my honest review! I look forward to seeing what the author writes next....more

I really enjoyed the disability rep in this book (Riley is hard of hearing and Kota has anxiety). The friendship between the two is heartwarming and I loved how they found a unique way to communicate with one another that was all their own and help each other with their worries and grief. Riley is feeling lonely having moved from California and is also still grieving the death of one of her fathers. Highly recommended with good illustrations too! It sounded good from the description - a Palestinian immigrant teacher living in NYC but the stream of consciousness, rapid fire narration wasn't for me.
I felt like there wasn't much of a plot but I did like that the FMC was queer and her obsession with cleaning and looking at the city through her eyes was interesting. There was a big focus on fashion and I would have enjoyed more insights into her life as a foreign teacher.

This was another swoony, seasonal Sapphic romance from one of my fav queer indie romance authors. It featured cameos from the main characters in the first book but definitely can be read as a standalone and had great #ownvoices mental health, therapy and disability rep.

I loved how multi-layered this story was, filled with rich characterization, mediums, ghosts and the stories of strong women who are all connected in some way to one Maine, cliff-side mansion across the ages.
Told from alternating POVs, this story touches on Sapphic love, alcoholism, colonialism, loss and so much more! I loved the multi-cast narration on audio that included some of my favs, Cassandra Campbell and Brittney Pressley, among others.
The main character of the story is Jane, a Harvard archivist whose alcohol addiction causes her to lose both her her job and her husband. As she escapes to her recently deceased mother's house in Maine to prepare it for sale, she finds herself caught up in the past as she researches the lives of the women who lived and died in the cliff house she's admired since she was a child.
