In need of a fresh start after being ditched by his cheating ex, Skylar heads to Dragonback- minotaur + fae - Daddy/boy - hurt x comfort - found family
In need of a fresh start after being ditched by his cheating ex, Skylar heads to Dragonback Mountains and drowns his sorrows at Church, the local bar. Short on cash, Skylar plans on doing a little pickpocketing to help him get by while having his fun, but gets caught by bar's gorgeous owner, Hiero.
The pair have great chemistry that turns into a hot night together, but with Skylar getting out of a bad relationship and Hiero looking to settle down, the pair decide to stick it out as friends. Only being friends is nearly impossible with the tension between them, and Skylar and Hiero strike up a no strings Daddy/boy relationship for as long as Skylar decides to stick around.
I felt so bad for both Skylar and Hiero, both of them just needed someone who wanted to stick around for the long haul, but were both too used to being cast aside for one reason or another. Their friendship and relationship was so sweet, and I adored how loving and patient Hiero was with Skylar as he grew into his own.
My Minotaur Daddy was seriously so adorable, with fantastic spice, and was yet another wonderful addition to the Tales from the Tarot series!...more

Marshall, disliker of people and occasional serial killer, believes he is the scariest man on the block, not realizing that his adorable twink of a neighbor is an even bigger predator than he is.
For a story revolving around some murderers, accidental and otherwise, this was pretty cute but a bit overly long. I would have liked more of the magic shop and tarot to have been involved, but it was great seeing a tiny glimpse of Elmwood!...more

Jeffrey, an underground tour guide for a brothel steeped in history, has his livelihood threatened when the owner reveals buyers are interested in purchasing the location.
Willing to do anything to save his home and job, Jeffrey makes a deal with Odai, an incubus, who he finds chained away in the very tunnels he gives tours nightly, to save Madame Mattie’s from being sold.
Over the centuries, Odai has had many masters, but none like Jeffrey. Odai quickly finds himself enamored with the wonderful man, and each new wish granted has him hoping that maybe Jeffrey will be the one who can save him from his curse and ultimately free him.
Honestly this was a surprisingly sweet story about self discovery, found family, freedom, and love. Jeffrey and Odai’s chemistry was fantastic, and their romance was so adorable and perfect—even with its hiccups. ...more

The story follows Allan, who learns he has magical abilities after an attempted assault by his POS ex-boyfriend activates his magic while on a camping trip with a pair of their mutual friends. Unfortunately for Allan, coming into his powers accidentally kills everyone, and upsets the Fae whose island he and his friends had been trespassing on, who want retribution for the murders.
Enter Patrick, the area's most powerful water witch, who finds himself in charge of cleaning up the mess Allan's newfound magic made. On top of cleaning up a trio of dead bodies, Patrick strikes up a deal with the Fae to keep the peace, and must teach Allan about his powers in the limited time provided until the Fae bargain must be met.
As if that wasn't enough, Allan's magic is not wanting to cooperate, which has him and Patrick looking for a loophole that will get Allan out of the Fae deal, all while exploring the chemistry and ever growing feelings between them as the clock runs down on their time together.
I loved the world building and water magic, and thought the story had a lot of potential, but never fully connected with Allan or Patrick. To be quite honest, I was more interested in Patrick's pets Kaos and Argus, and his life as water witch, than I was with Allan and all his drama lol
Still a solid story, even if it wasn't for me!...more

Not that Bellamy hasn’t given just as good as he’s gotten. He loves to add fuel to the fire of their intense rivalry just to watch Noel squirm.
There’s a thin line between love and hate though, and when the tension finally snapped between Noel and Bellamy… Well, let’s just say it was explosive. Their chemistry was insane, and all of their stolen moments together were ...more

- Daddy/boy - age gap - small town
Recently released from prison due to a dumb mistake as a teenager, Tyler works at his mother's salon in the small town of Foggy Basin. There he meets Mosby, a reclusive painter who has been hiding away from the world after a tragic loss, who wipes out in front of Shear Bliss thanks to a crumbling step.
Not wanting to leave the one person who has been the only bright spot in the darkness that has been the past year of his life, Mosby feigns some memory loss to spend more time with Tyler. Getting to know more about Tyler though has Mosby realizing he needs to come clean about who he is sooner rather than later.
Tyler surprisingly takes everything in stride though, and the pair end up in a really sweet and adorable Daddy/boy relationship--which made me really happy given everything Tyler and Mosby had been through. Tyler especially deserved all the happiness! ...more

Myles, an introverted writer, is looking for a roommate, so he puts up a notice on the cork board at the local diner, Randy’s.
When someone finally reaches out inquiring about the room for rent, it just so happens to be the club going cutie who Myles has seen hitting up Randy’s (and been crushing on from afar).
He and Avery hit it off almost immediately despite how different their personalities are, and open up to each other in ways they never expected.
Honestly, Myles and Avery were adorable. Their story was so cozy and sweet with little to no angst, deliciously steamy, and just all around full of wonderfully written trans queer rep.

Everything changes for him though when he stumbles into a magic shop and gets a tarot reading from its kind of creepy owner.
Next thing he knows he's graduating butler school and employed by a very eccentric gentleman and his equally odd nephews, one of which is a huge thorn (get it thorn... Thoren?!) in his side. Dec does his best to keep things professional, but he can't help but be attracted to the massive man who loves to pick on him.
Honestly I've never read a Jennifer Cody book up until today and that's a travesty! I wasn't sure what to expect going into Where Fools Have Tread because of that, but this was silly and fun and a great start to the Tales from the Tarot series. Plus who doesn't love gargoyles and intergalactic shenanigans?!

To kick off the summer, Ren and Kyle head out on a roadtrip to the Pacific, just two bros in a RV coasting down the highway. Somewhere along the way though things between them start to shift, and their epic bromance turns into something more.
Honestly, Ren and Kyle were adorable, and despite how opposite their personalities were, their friendship turned relationship just works with how well they balance each other out.
Plus I’m such a sucker for friends to lovers, and I thought their story was really sweet and fun, even if the third act drama was a bit too easily resolved—Ren should’ve made Kyle work for it just a little before forgiving him, but oh whale!
