Well, what an ending, but most of all, what growth we see from Winnie in this part of the story.

At times, she felt younger than she was supposed to be and her inner monologue reflected it. In this one, Winnie is sure of herself, confident, fearless, and a loyal Wednesday bear. I loved reading her figure things out, fight when needed, and listen all the time.
Plot wise, there are a lot a lot a lot of moving parts. It keeps the pacing quick, but did feel like there were things mentioned that either weren't resolved or perhaps they were thrown out to misdirect. Regardless, I was captivated until the very end.
Overall, this has been a fun story and it's been pretty awesome to see how it evolved from the social media game to this fleshed out story. I will say the nods to the "teams" as well as the shout out to SSaD had me grinning every time I read one.

A bit more world building, a few answers, and some (very obvious) reveals. The ending left the story at a firm stopping place, but really with a pin in it.
Overall, a classic second book of a trilogy. I'm eager to finally get all of the answers.

I love love loved Ellie and Harry. They're both smart and good people. I loved their instant chemistry, the fWell, this is my new favorite from Kate.
I love love loved Ellie and Harry. They're both smart and good people. I loved their instant chemistry, the flirting disguised at button pushing, and I couldn't get enough of their openness with each other. Of course, seeing Daisy and Tess again is great and the scenes with all three ladies are always fun.
Plot wise, it's quick moving, filled with banter, and I loved every page of it. This story was fun, with absolutely no angst and the lowest of low stakes. I could have easily read 100 more pages, especially after wanting more from the epilogue. For now, I'll just have to hope for a cameo in book 3.
Overall, this will definitely be one that I come back to when I need a pick me up.

Holy shit, this was a book.
I only read this because I saw it everywhere on social media and between the rave reviews and gorgeous cover, I had to give it a try.
I loved Mercy and Hart. She's sunshine and he's cloudy. They're instantly intrigued and yet the wrong buttons are pushed and that interest turns to animosity. And let me assure you I was here for it. I loved Mercy's family so very much.
Plot wise, it was good, once I stopped trying to figure it out. The world building is set up like i was already supposed to know wtf is going on and I can honestly say that even though I was sort of annoyed, it was so interesting, I couldn't help but eat it up. This story is a slow burn rollercoaster that had me giggling, swooning, and would have had me sobbing if I had real emotions.
Overall, it was so easy to fall in love with this book. I know it'll be one I read again and I can't wait to go look for special editions.

I had been pitched this book and kept it in my "maybe" folder until I saw Berkley sharing snippets of the text on their IG. I ended up devouring it and loving it so much, I had to sleep on it before writing this review.
I loved Georgia and Eli. They're both so loyal and loving and the connection between them is absolutely palpable. The friend group is wonderfully supportive and I loved the scenes with everyone together.
Plot wise, it's so good. There's a lot of history between the MCs and reading Georgia navigate the current situation with Eli while reminiscing over past hurts really fleshed out their relationship. I loved the tension and the UST and the chemistry for days, but especially how they fell back into the easy banter.
Overall, I woke up thinking about this book and even read the last couple of chapters again. I can't wait to read the entire story again and this is definitely one of my favorites of the year.

I liked Marcela and Theo well enough. They're both good people with big hearts and desperately in love with one half of an engaged couple. I did like the idea of them leaning on each other to get through it; however I never really got the feel of a connection between them. Oh and Angela was the best and Ben is straight up the worst.
Plot wise, it's sort of bland. There's a lot of push and pull, loads of inner monologue, and forever pining for the wrong person. I wanted chemistry, banter, and open conversations, sadly none of that happened.
Overall, it was a quick read with a lot of potential. It just didn't work for me.

I really liked Daphne and Chris. Their meet cute isn't so cute and I thought it was a clever start to the story. Daphne and Chris are both smart, loyal, struggling. They find something in the other while messaging that resonates and it was a delicious unfolding in the story.
Plot wise it was good. I'm not usually a fan of the catfishing slash secret identity thread, but this one felt like an innocent accident that spiraled out of control. I loved reading them text and then see the juxtaposition of the in-person actions. Of course there's blowback, but there needed to be. And while I wanted more from the epilogue, it was set up to tell me where they're going.
Overall, this fell like a sort of love letter to baseball and it was easy to root for these characters.
