I really liked Daphne and Chris. Their meet cute isn't so cute and I thought it was a clever start to the story. Daphne and Chris are both smart, loyal, struggling. They find something in the other while messaging that resonates and it was a delicious unfolding in the story.
Plot wise it was good. I'm not usually a fan of the catfishing slash secret identity thread, but this one felt like an innocent accident that spiraled out of control. I loved reading them text and then see the juxtaposition of the in-person actions. Of course there's blowback, but there needed to be. And while I wanted more from the epilogue, it was set up to tell me where they're going.
Overall, this fell like a sort of love letter to baseball and it was easy to root for these characters.

I loved Levi and Harper. They have such a history and it's fantastic to read them ever so slowly find the way back to each other. As always, it's always fun seeing the entire family, especially now that they're all paired up.
Plot wise, there's a lot to unpack here...like a lot. And with that came a lot of inner monologue and working through hurt. I will say that Brighton really ties it all up and even though I could have done with a million more pages of an epilogue, it's because I'll greedy and don't want this series to be done.
Overall, this series has been a favorite of mine and I can't wait to binge read them.

The friend group is one of the best parts of this series and they didn't disappoint here. The triplets are nosy and loyal and a damn delight when they're all together. And don't get me started on Harper. Bax has been an enigma and I still feel like he is.
Plot wise, it was okay. If felt rushed and some points and directionless at others, almost like there were too many plot threads to have. I would have liked more information about Bax and being a Guardian (especially since we got his POV), but everything was pretty superficial.
Overall, it's the characters that kept me going here, but I feel like I could have left this one unfinished. However, if there is more to the series, I'll read it.

I loved the idea of two middle aged characters finding love after messy divorces. Twyla is very hard on herself, sort of bitter and resentful of her life’s choices and yet, is very loving and hopeful. At times, it did get monotonous in her head as she was constantly mentioning that she was middle aged and post menopausal. Frank seemed like a delight. (I say seemed because we didn’t get his POV and everything we see of him is tempered through Twyla.) He was supportive and (obviously) smitten with Twyla. Of course, I’m always here for Pen and the Hart/Mercy cameo (which still wasn’t enough).
Plot wise, it was okay. There was a lot less dragon-based plot than I would have expected, but there didn’t seem to be a huge development of the romance either. I wanted more conversations, more openness, more kissing, and seriously…more dragons. It was a slow meandering that (for me) seemed like it wasn’t going anywhere, everything felt like an afterthought and it didn’t quite translate to a captivating story.
Did I like it? Yes. Did I love it? No. Don’t get me wrong, at times, it did feel like settling into a cozy sweater, but I believe Twyla and Frank deserved more.
Overall, I wanted a lot more out of this story; however, I’m absolutely here for any other books in this series.

Well, this is the last of the RLS books that I need to read and NGL, I’m a little sad that I don’t have any others.
I loved Barrett and Miles. They’reWell, this is the last of the RLS books that I need to read and NGL, I’m a little sad that I don’t have any others.
I loved Barrett and Miles. They’re both so different and so alike and it was loads of fun reading them transition from acquaintances to friends to more more more. I loved how Miles made Barrett come at things in a different way and how Barrett made Miles let loose. Together they had so many fun adventures. There are a few other characters here, but the story is firmly about B & M.
Plot wise, it was interesting. I loved the way they worked through staying in the library for research to flying to adopting a pack of dogs. It was fun reading how they were going to decide to change things up for every same day that they were in. Of course, I nearly screamed at the last few chapters and easily could have done with an epilogue, but I’m probably just being greedy.
Overall, this was a fun take on time loops and it was way too easy to get invested in these two. I can’t wait to read whatever RLS puts out next.

I loved Julie and Elle. Julie is all heart. She's loving and loyal and absolutely the person you'd want in your corner. Elle feels standoffish in the beginning and as things are revealed, we find she's a soft marshmallow. I loved reading these two figure things out.
Plot wise, it was good. I feel like I did miss out on some of the references because I didn't read the second book, but it was easy to see how the three are connected. I would have liked a little bit more from the ending for Julie and Elle, but I get how all of it needed to be wrapped up.
Overall, I love Anita's words and how they write relationships and the friend support system. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Plot wise, it's some serious topics wrapped around a lot of fun. Hallie is dealing with an abusive past relationship and toxic ex. Hayden, a parental death. And yet, the way they work through these things together is wonderful.
Overall, I know this review is short and I've found when I don't have a lot to say it's because I love it too much. That definitely tracks here.

There are some serious topics in Tallulah's background that aren't even hinted at in the synopsis (cutesy illustrated cover hiding serious business strikes again) and her decisions and actions from that history play out in the entire book.
On the upside, Burgess is GONE for her and it's delightful reading him try to figure things out. I really enjoyed how these two talked and worked on their foundation before giving into the instant chemistry they had. Of course, daughter Lissa is fun and the set up for the next book is great, but seeing Wells and Josephine again was the best.
Plot wise, it's mostly good. There were some sections that felt disjointed and JFC, the push and pull at the end was annoying. They did so well with the communication until they didn't. I wish they would have stopped assuming facial expressions were actual words.
Overall, this was fun, but (for me) not as lighthearted as I've come to expect from Tessa.

I loved Nova and Charlie. They have chemistry and banter for days, but even better, they have open conversations and honesty. They show each other their soft spots and it happened so organically, I couldn't help but fall in love at the same time. Of course, this family slash friend group is awesome.
Plot wise, it's like a cozy sweater on a cold night. The tension was there, but in a delicious sort of way. There's no third act break up (just a couple of weeks apart) and the not-so-grand gesture was exactly what it needed to be: just for them.
Overall, this was absolutely everything I didn't know I wanted and I can't wait to read it again. Definitely one of my top 10 of the year.

I have been eager for Addison's story since she first forced her way onto the page and it was well worth the wait.

Addison is a crunchy shell and a warm gooey inside. She's fiercely loyal, fiercely loving, and just fierce af. Chase is protective, smitten from the start, and borderline obsessed (in the best way.) Together these two have a lot of history, banter for days, enough UST to choke someone an entire town.
Plot wise, it's so good. There's a lot of sweet gestures, arguments, and open conversations. What I loved the most is that these two know each other so well, they know how to provide exactly what the other needs without asking for it. The last couple of chapters are fantastic and so satisfying.
Overall, this is exactly what I wanted for Addison and I'm so happy she got her HEA. Oh, and the set up for Levi is delicious.

Plot wise, it was okay. There are a lot of moving parts and yet it still somehow felt like nothing happened. I did mostly enjoy the relationship aspect and really liked the last couple of chapters.
Overall, I was curious enough to keep reading and some of the other characters do seem intriguing, but I don't know if I'll read any more of the series.

Plot wise, it was good. There are a few moving parts and none of it was overwhelming or unnecessary. The recovery portion felt realistic and of course the LA bookstore mentions were lovely. I loved the last chapter, the grand gesture, and the epilogue was perfection.
Overall, these characters were so easy to root for and if there's more to the series, I'll definitely keep reading.

I love love loved Josephine and Wells. She's knowledgeable and confident and it was a damn delight reading her hold her own. Wells is the crunchiest grouch who is down and out. Together these two have chemistry and banter galore.
Plot wise, it was fantastic. I adored that he was borderline obsessed with her, not only in keeping her safe, but seemingly unable to stay away. The golf scenes were not repetitive annnnd thanks to their various bets, captivating. IYKYK.
Overall, this has taken the top spot as my favorite Tessa book and I never thought anything would knock IHOS out of first. It was so amazing that I immediately read it again once I finished and I know I'll be one I go back to again and again.

I've (mostly) enjoyed Viggo throughout the series. He has so much love and tries in his best way to make his people know. At times, it's intrusive; however, from Viggo's POV, we see it's partially his ADHD and partially his insecurity. Tallulah is crunchy, avoids a lot, and is also insecure. Together, these two slowly find something that goes further than attraction and lust.
Plot wise, it's a slow meandering. There is a lot to unpack for Viggo and Tallulah both individually and together. Thankfully, they have several open conversations and the connection grows organically. I did enjoy the build up, yet at the same time, sort of felt like something was missing. I will say the last couple of chapters were lovely, especially the epilogue, but I wanted more. Of course, that could have just been me being greedy.
Overall, this has been a wonderful series to binge. This family is one of my favorites and I'll definitely be revisiting some of these stories.

I loooooooooooved Ziggy and Sebastian. Ziggy is sweet, smart, and used to being invisible. Sebastian is charming, vocal, and used to being in trouble. Together they're both struggling in their lives and find something they didn't know they needed in the other. There are loads of open conversations, comfort, and so much pining away it's glorious.
Plot wise, it's good. This is the slowest of slow burns and I was here for all of it. Yes, they are attracted to each other pretty much from the start, but these two really develop their friendship. They listen and hear what the other one is saying and then actually do what is requested. No one is acting in/for the other's benefit and it was refreshing to read. Of course, the UST is out of this world, but I loved it.
Overall, this story was all about healing, trusting yourself, and seeking comfort with characters that were easy to root for. I know this will be one that I reread over and over again.

I really loved these two. They're both so smitten and low key obsessed with the other that it was easy to get drawn into how they were feeling. I loved how they were so willing to do what it took to find their way back to the relationship and even with the roadblocks, they realized how open communication was the key. (Kudos to the fun marriage counselor as well.)
Plot wise, it's good. I know I keep saying it, but the family is the best part of this series and they didn't disappoint in this one. Love love loved the brothers day and just the absolutely fuckery they do to delight and amuse each other.
Overall, this one felt a bit heavier than the other two, but Freya and Aiden are easy to root for and get invested in. Onwards to the next one!

I really liked Camilla. She's smart, sassy, knows what she wants and how to go about getting it. Envy was not really what I expected. Yes, he's arrogant but there's more than meets the eye. Together they have a lot of potential. Of course there's loads of banter and button pushing, but substantial conversations are few and far between. I did chalk most of this up to Envy's sin; however, these two deserved more (especially after some of their backgrounds came out.)
Plot wise...it's something. There are several moving pieces: games within games, betrayals, fights, teasing, kissing, and a 29374923749823 page sex scene. The scenes with all of the brothers were some of the best and sweet sparkling pandas if we don't get more Emilia and Camilla together, I'm going to revolt.
Overall, at times it felt like way too much, at times not enough. I found myself eagerly devouring pages as much as I skimmed passages. The set up for the next book is interesting and I'm definitely here for it. ...more

The HEA is a given with Brighton's books and this one was so good. Yes yes, I definitely wanted more at the end, but I loved what we got and I'm pretty much beside myself at the set up for Addison's book.
Overall, another fantastic and spicy story (JFC, the mouth on Aiden). I will read Brighton forever because she always delivers.
