I was very interested in the plot because it was different from anything I've ever read. Shanice inherits a painting from her grandmother and it seems her bad luck before magnifies when those around her start to die. Shanice starts to dig deeper to find out more about Estelle and her paranoia increases. I found I would get freaked out a bit while reading this because it does get a little creepy.
We get a dual timeline which was done very well. I felt like both characters had equal time in the book and neither outshined each other. A unique read!

The plot was giving in this one! You dive further into the murders and disappearances. I really like the magic system in these books. I was on my toes trying to figure out who was behind it and why. When I found out why they're being murdered my jaw dropped! Again we're left with a cliffhanger. I even had some tears pulled out of me too!
Memnon is still his hot tempered I will crush without breaking a sweat self but you def get a softer side from him when it comes to Selene. Talk about the groveling he does. It was really cool getting to see him really use his power in this book and the extent he's willing to go to.
Selene WOW. Watching her embrace her past and power was AMAZING. It was done so well. She turned into a total badass. I can't wait to see her shine more in the next one.

After the cliffhanger in book 3 I could not wait to jump into this one! This mystery had me on my toes! What was going to happen to Griffen? How was this going to play out? I did not see the twist coming at all. I had my suspicions and they were WRONG. That's the one thing I love about this series is yes there's romance but the mystery is top notch. The humor in this is something I look forward to when reading. All of the side characters I just love seeing their shenanigans.
I really hope we get more Riley Thorn in the future!

Lucy has such a way of bringing a story together with amazing humor.
I can't get over how Riley ends up in the craziest predicaments. I really loved seeing Riley embrace her powers in this one and tackle things head on when normally she's a little hesitant.
I wanted to shake Nick in the beginning of the book until he got his wake up call. I just love him and Riley together. I couldn't stop laughing during the Halloween Surprise party lol!
Can't wait for the 4th installment.

I was really interested in seeing how this book was going to be after reading the previous two and found I really enjoyed it. I really liked that the Chapters were written by date and pov. You really get to see both Joey and Aoife's relationship progress and grow from the age of 12 to 16. They start off as friends and finally become lovers.
Joey's pov of his broken family was heartbreaking. I found myself tearing up from just how messed up his parents were. The words and abuse he endured was tragic.
Really looking forward to Redeeming 6!
