Netgalley has never been for me, I’ve had an account for years but nothing has ever made me want to click the request button… until now. Special Delivery was my first Net Galley experience and I devoured it in one day.
This book is all good things. Honest. Low angst. Friends to Lovers. Self discovery. Sexual awakening. Healing after loss. It’s wholesome and hot with sharp whitty humor and a comfort level you get with only friends. My favorite part was the sex positive narrative. Not only was the self proclaimed “slutty” guy sexy positive, but the love interest who was monogamous to a fault - full romantic that *needed* that emotional connection - was not only accepting but supportive and open to his new friends sexuality and vice versa. It was all very respectful and just.. well warm and fuzzy. And the parents? No longer asking about long term relationships and monogamy. Just judgment free and unconditional supportive parentals.
This book takes place after the Covid lockdown as structure and more importantly, socialization, is allowed once more. Two guys meet, click, become friends but so much more.
This book was like being dumped into an ice bath and then plucked out and wrapped in a fuzzy blanket. Painful, viscerally - then comfy. Blais’s journey from being at the end of his rope, to finding happiness again was everything I always knew I needed for him. I wanted to reach into the book and give him a hug.
The found family, as always in this universe, was IMPECCABLE. Sensational. Superb.
Toby and Blais’s D/s dynamic was done perfectly, from the beginning negotiations to the very end. 10/10.

A completely unexpected but welcome reaction.
Will everyone react this way? Absolutely not. No. But for me, omg I couldn’t have imagined anything better for the series conclusion than what I just read.
INITIAL THOUGHTS Since the very first time I saw Mock mention her writing method - that she’s an intuitive writer - I have been utterly captivated & fascinated by not only her writing process but the sensationally visceral characters her mind channels and churns out. The way these characters seem so real…. It’s an exceptional story telling skill that I have never experienced before her books and this book.. the whole series.. is an example of that.
THE CHARACTERS - Ollie. Omg. I’ve never been more proud of a character than I am of Oliver Briar Randall. His evolution through this series was a BEAUTIFUL thing.
- Darius is wicked smart, and that could easily be forgotten or belittled by his brat behavior and submission, but Wyatt, even when in Daddy mode, trusts Darrys thoughts, gut feelings, plans, and ability to lead even though he’s technically not leading & I really hope that makes sense! that’s something I love about their relationship, that no matter who the “boss” is in their dynamic, they’re strengths remain individual and never generalized. Trying to articulate this is proving difficult but that’s the best I got for now!
- Simon is the glue of this found family, Lakshan is the crucial supporting pillar of the fortress that is Silas Randall. Without these two men, the entire squad would be nothing. No squad. Chaos pain and trauma would reign supreme despite anything Shane or Wyatt would try. Speaking of….
- SHANE! Muh boy said the most words like, EVER out loud in this book. He was not just his normal strong silent sentinel self, but an outspoken and supportive (not that he wasn’t before but it was more silent) way. There was one moment when Silas returned home after a time away and Shane’s reaction to that surprise appearance MELTED ME!!

Waiting for You is chalk full of that Cora Rose magic special to only her. This was amazing. Loved it. This book will forever live at the top of my favs written by her along with Whit, Sem, and Emery.I didn’t expect it and it was everything.
Grey’s effort at connecting with his son - omg had me in tears so many times. This freaking guy. Quinn and Grey were angsty, passionate, AND SO IN LOVE.
