Mac is a complete airhead at the beginning but I found it got a lot better throughout.

The first time I read this one, I felt just the same. But in order to finish the series (I hate not finishing series), I re-read this one and it was better that time around. I didn't like Mac though, however, she got way better as the books went on. Jericho just got hotter :P But I read this a long time ago, so who knows now. I'm thinking of re-reading again though... Sorry this wasn't a win, Jessica :/

I loved them, my guilty pleasure. I don't do audio books though, I've tried a few times and it's just not for me, I wish it was, maybe try a read instead?? I freaking loved Barrons though, i thought he was smoking hot, even though I wanted to punch him a few times. Plus I love The Fae, alot!!! Much Love

Barrons is def an a-hole in this book (and in some places in the others), and Mac is super immature at first, but they both evolve significantly over the first couple of books and in a major way longer term. Worth it if you can power through...

I ended up doing the same thing Jessica. I just couldn’t get into it and Barrons rubbed me the wrong way! I was bummed out because I loved this author’s other series... this was a definite miss for me though 😢

I completely understand why you DNF. Even after years I remember how unhappy I was with this book.

Thanks Lisa I may try reading them sometimes an bad audio can really ruin a book :)

The first one is the worst in my opinion but I loved the series by the end! Ive never read via audio myself. Hope you love your next book =)

Thanks Lily I'm glad you loved it audio books are totally hit or miss with me. I may try the series again and see if it gets better after the first :)

I still think about this series wishing there was a TON more romance, but there wasn't. Hope you love your next book!
