I am removing my original review following a personal intention not to be overly negative on Goodreads, but I didn’t care much for this book! 😉

Bianca Fantastic review. I'm afraid sci-fi and dystopian are not for me, but I definitely enjoyed reading your thoughts on this book.

Julie Ehlers Excellent review! Whyyy does everyone feel so compelled to have multiple perspectives in their novels these days? If it's not done right it's so unsatisfying. And the idea that every woman would respond in basically the same way would bug me too. Also totally agree with your take on the dystopian novel in general! Disappointed this wasn't better but I was psyched to read your take on it.

Paula K Thanks for the warning, Jenna. Excellent review!

Jenna Thanks, everyone! Julie, sometimes I worry that authors will eventually forget how to write a novel in any other way aside from multiple perspectives...like that skill in trying different approaches is gradually evolving away, like a vestigial organ! It can be such a good way to tell a story, but it's not automatically so.

Cheri Terrific review, Jenna! I don't think this one is for me, but I really enjoyed reading your thoughts!

Debbie Ha, just love your reviews! What a kick! I don’t read dystopian in general, so even if it was good, it would be a hard sell. Giggled at the shout-out, and appreciate the warning of woo woo!

Jenna Debbie, it was SO woo-woo - yes, steer clear! The woo woo has been hard to shake; I keep thinking about it like, "man, that was some particularly irritating woo woo right there!" 😂

Debbie Sometimes you have to wear woo-woo, and it’s worse than cheap perfume! In time it passes, but in the meantime, ew! Your warning is hilarious (and hereby heeded).

Jenny (Reading Envy) I knew when I heard about this book that I'd either love or hate it. I haven't started it yet. :)

Jaidee Terrific review Jenna.....Dystopian is so difficult to write well !!

The last one I really enjoyed was Lauren Beukes'Moxyland. That one might float your boat although yes there are 4 perspectives !!

Mindfully Evie 100% agree with this review! It definitely felt very anti-feminist to me, playing on the stigma that feminism is about man-hating and it's men vs women - which is not true! It's about equality and this book just didn't portray that at all. Fun idea, but poorly executed

Trudie Great review !
